• Nicolas (10/5): - Sobre Arrocha es una Pousada muy bella que cumplió nuestras expectativas. Todos los rincones de la pousada estan elegantemnete decorados y con un muy buen gusto. Las habitaciones son cómodas con una buena ducha, aire acondicionado, refrigerador, un par de hornallas y utensiillos de cocina. El desayuno que es muy rico, dedicado y abundante y se sirve en una galería rodeada de la vegetacion de mata atlántica típica, un par de decks con sillones y hamacas y con una vista al mar impresionante. La playa de Arancatiba está a 3 min caminando al igual que el almacén. Luego hay varios r3staurantes. La distancia al mar no es problema. Excelente y muy amena la atención de Gabriela. Las playas de Aracatiba son bellísimas y mucho mas tranquilas que en Abrao. La pousada es chica (3 habitaciones) lo que da un sensación de intimidad divina. EL Pueblo precioso para desenchufar, descansar y recorrer caminando o con excursiones. Recomiendo esta Pousada, vale la pena! Nada

• Andrea Socorro (9/5): Lugar maravilhoso! Desejo muito voltar. - A melhor vista de Araçatiba. Lugar incrível. Desejo MUITO volver. A atenção foi maravilhosa, o café da manhã muito bom. A pousada tem gerador eléctrico, internet Starlink, e o jardim mais lindo do mundo. O maior cuidado em todos os detalhes. Incluindo toalhas easydry no caso você for na praia, bolsa de praia, rede para mosquitos na janela do banheiro, tudo! Tem até um espaço para fazer churrasco na propriedade. Espaço muito bom. Jogos, cozinha dentro do quarto no caso quiser cozinhar, mercadinho por perto, uma sala de estar com uma vista perfeita. Tudo ótimo. Porém apenas como observação para futuros hospedes, eu tenho rinite alérgica e por conta do ar condicionado o quarto ficou muito seco e passei um pouco mal. Se você também tiver, por favor fique de olho com deixar panos com agua ou levar remedios porque pode acontecer. É um lugar quente e o ar condicionado vai ficar muito tempo ligado.

The drop-off pier is over a 10-minute walk along the beach, and private boat transfers to the accommodation are relatively expensive for families due to per-person pricing.

In our room we had a lot of space and beach chairs, parasole, beach bag and beach towels. The owners were very nice and helpful, the beach was a minute away. The value for money was really good, we loved our stay here! All good.

Nuestra estadía fue maravillosa, tiene una vista incrieble, muy cerca de la playa y súper accesible para ir caminando o tomarse lancha para otras playas. Las habitaciones súper cómodas y el desayuno espectacular, muy completo, con cositas caseras. Agustin también fue súper atento y nos recomendó lugares para visitar y comer. Todo el personal espectacular. Definitivamente volveríamos y lo recomiendo para una hermosa estadía en Ilha Grande

• Monica (10/5): Relax e pace immersi nel verde con una vista incantevole. - La posizione è vicina al mare. Ha una vista spettacolare e una veranda dove trascorrere il tempo in pieno relax. L’imbarcazione ti porta ad Araçatiba ma Gabriela (host dell’alloggio) ti indica come arrivare prenotandoti un’imbarcazione privata fino al molo sotto l’appoggio. Ti senti a casa, lei é favolosa e cordiale. Essendo immerso nella foresta potresti trovare in camera qualche insetto. Nulla di grave. Anche lì basta avvisare Gabriela.

• Clelia (10/5): Meraviglioso - Un posto meraviglioso, ideale per staccare la spina e riconnettersi con se stessi, la natura, il mondo. Camera quadrupla semplice, molto carina, curata e pulita. La zona comune (dove si fa la colazione) è il fiore all’occhiello: bellissima da vedere, accogliente, e curata, con una splendida vista sul mare e la vegetazione circostante. Acqua, té caldo e cachaça sono sempre a disposizione degli ospiti (scelta top). Gabriela e Luca sono due host fantastici: molto gentili e premurosi, ci hanno supportato per ogni nostra necessità (info logistiche più visite/tour). Colazione super con pane, torte e yogurt fatti in casa. Una delizia!

Gabriela hat uns klar über die Anreise informiert und ist jeder Zeit für Fragen zur Verfügung (Anwort auf WhatsApp innerhalb ganz kurzer Zeit). Das Frühstück war auch super, ich würde jederzeit mit Freude wiederkommen

We had freshly brewed coffee, homemade yogurt, cakes made with the surplus fruit from the garden and eggs cooked to perfection. The house is very well located, providing us with stunning views of the sea and island. The communication with the hosts was great, they are very friendly and always ready to share the best tips on the island´s restaurants. Tough to pin down something I disliked, maybe they could just ensure the windows have more efficient covers to isolate the light that comes in the morning.

El desayuno casero, todos los días algo diferente y hecho con cariño, los consejos acertados de qué visitar cada día, la comodidad de contar con sillas de playa a disposición, el alquiler de snorkels, los juegos de caja (para el único día de lluvia, nos salvó la tarde con una niña pequeña), la coordinación de botes para ir hasta el muelle principal, la comunicación antes y durante la estadía, todo diez puntos.. recomendable 100% si se busca un lugar comfortable, tranquilo para estar en Ilha Grande. Estamos esperando poder volver! No hubo nada que no nos gustase

Todo muy limpio y muy cuidado. Con mucha atención en cada detalle. Es una pousada pequeña por lo que recibes una atención personalizada. Los propietarios, Gabriela y Lucas, son muy amables y muy atentos. El cuarto es simple pero tiene todo lo que necesitas para una estancia excelente en la isla. Tienes baño privado en la habitación, cocinita y nevera. Y una mesita y sillas tanto dentro de la habitación como afuera. El desayuno es muy completo: frutas, quesos, jamon york, pan casero, huevos revueltos, bizcochos caseros, jugo de frutas recién hecho, cafe, etc

• olga (9/5): Der Aufenthalt war gut, gutes Preisleistubgsverhältnis. Die Gastgeber waren hilfsbereit und jederzeit bei Fragen zu erre - Der Ausblick war toll und das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Das die Fenster nicht ganz dicht sind und somit einige Mücken eingedrungen sind.

O quarto possui uma pequena cozinha, o que é um diferencial e valioso recurso na região de Araçatiba, onde não temos tanta oferta e disponibilidade de restaurantes, especialmente a noite. O ambiente externo da pousada é muito agradável e com uma vista linda. Tudo bem decorado e aconchegante. O café da manhã é bem gostoso e farto, com direito a preparações da própria pousada. Nada.

Habían sillas de playa, sombrilla, toallas para la playa, etc lo que permite una estancia más cómoda. El desayuno muy rico, todo casero. Muy buena disposición de Gaby y su pareja para resolver cualquier duda y aconsejar traslados.

• Susannah (9/5): Oase van rust - De locatie! Hele mooie omgeving, met genoeg plekjes om ook lekker te zitten bij de Pousada. Je bent zo op het strand. Als je de rustige kant van Ilha Grande wil ontdekken, met toch genoeg te doen in de buurt (ook goede restaurantjes), dan is dit de plek. Gabriele en Lucas zijn superaardig en behulpzaam, en het ontbijt is heerlijk. Er is een volle minibar bij aankomst. De badkamer wordt redelijk nat als je doucht. De wc blijft een beetje een geur houden vanuit de riolering, maar dat is een miniem probleem.
• Ine (9/5): Lovely peaceful stay! - Het buitengedeelte van de pousada was werkelijk magisch. We genoten elke ochtend van een uitgebreid ontbijt met een prachtig uitzicht. In de ochtendzon rustig een boek lezen op de gezellige buitenzitjes was pure ontspanning. Gabriela en Lucas waren ontzettend vriendelijk en altijd bereid om te helpen met de organisatie van boottochtjes, transfers etc. We voelden ons echt heel welkom. De locatie is geweldig als je op zoek bent naar pure rust. Het enige kleine minpunt voor ons was dat de pousada aan de andere kant van het stadje Abraão ligt, waar juist wat meer restaurants en winkeltjes te vinden zijn.

Gabriela is always available to help us enjoy our stay and make it as perfect as she can, an absolute angel ! really loved this property and everything that came with it ! if you’re planning a trip to Ilha grande you should definitely come to see Gabriela ! nothing really… we truly had an amazing experience !
• Bastian (10/5): Un paraiso - Está en un lugar extraordinario con vista al mar, entornos muy bien cuidados. Queda cerca de la laguna verde que es ideal para hacer snorkel, en la mañana hacen un desayuno muy rico hecho por ellos mismos, jugos naturales etc. La atención es muy buena y te ayudan en todo, desde tours hasta donde puedes ir a comprar, nosotros nos tuvimos que quedar una noche más por lo espectacular del lugar, mucha tranquilidad y belleza natural. No queda más que decir que es un lugar totalmente recomendado y que si quieres una desconexión este es el lugar.

• María Andrea (10/5): - Ilah grande es un paraíso más aún cuando te alojas en posada sobre Rocha. La vista es increíble y la ubicación inmejorable. Lucas y Gabriela son excelentes anfitriones. Lucas nos fue a buscar hasta el muelle y nos ayudó a cargar el equipaje hasta la posada. Gabriela siempre en contacto para cualquier duda que nos surgiera. Hay 5 espacios de recreación exterior y cada uno es una experiencia única, las vistas son inmejorables. Si sos de esas personas que le gusta la tranquilidad, naturaleza y el buen gusto no dudes en venir. La habitación es cómoda y práctica y cuenta con todo lo necesario.Los detalles tanto en el jardín como en el mobiliario,vajilla hacen de la posada algo único en la isla. El desayuno es exquisito, se nota la dedicación y el amor. Al ser una posada con pocas habitaciones da la sensación de estar en tu casa. • Cannelle (10/5): Une poussada parfaite sur tous les points - Nous avons passé un séjour tout simplement merveilleux !!!!! Gabriela est vraiment très gentille bienveillante et attentionnée. La poussada est très propre et magnifique. Se lever le matin et prendre le petit déjeuner avec la vue sur l’océan est la chose qui va le plus me manquer. Nous recommandons à 100% et nous reviendrons dans ce havre de paix et petit coin de paradis, c’est sûr ! Absolument rien tout était parfait !

• Sébastien (10/5): Tout est organisé pour passer un excellent séjour ! - Très bon accueil de Gabriela et Lucas. Belle pousada joliment aménagée et décorée, au calme, située en hauteur, à 2 minutes de la plage, avec beaucoup de petits espaces pour se détendre et une grande pièce ouverte commune avec table et canapé, le tout avec une très belle vue sur la mer et le couché du soleil. Belle chambre, confortable, propre et très bien équipée, avec une belle salle de bain (douche) et un coin cuisine (plaque, réfrigérateur), et un sac de plage (avec des serviettes) et chaises de plage ! Ménage fait tous les jours et serviettes changées quotidiennement. Tout est pensé pour que nous passions un agréable séjour. Gabriela communique avant et pendant notre séjour par WhatsApp pour nous donner toutes les informations notamment pour notre arrivée en bateau. Gabriela est très présente, toujours disponible pour nous conseiller et aider, et nous orienter vers des activités (randonnées, tours en bateau). Plusieurs restaurants à proximité, et une petite superette juste à côté. Je recommande à 100 %.

• Grace (10/5): Amazing views and breakfast! - Everything was wonderful here! The location and view are very special, and Gabriela was responsive and proactive in communicating with us ahead of our stay to make sure we got the correct boat. She also organised an extra, small boat to bring us closer to the pousada because the pier was damaged in a storm when we visited. She met us straight off the boat and was so warm and attentive throughout our stay. The breakfast was exceptional with delicious, homemade bread and cakes, and eating on the terrace with the beautiful view was a really special experience. The room is spacious, clean and well-designed. The little kitchen is useful and well-equipped. We also tried the frozen pie one evening and these were tasty. Can't recommend enough! Thank you for a wonderful experience. Oh, and the cat Marisco is suuuuuper cute! Nothing
• Riccardo (10/5): - Posada con una vista incredibile, tramonti stupendi e giardino e veranda curati nei minimi dettagli. Gabirela e Lucas sono davvero carinissimi e Lucas cucina davvero delle colazioni buonissime. Tutto fresco e fatto in casa, pane e yogurt compresi! Consiglio vivamente. Spiaggia a 2min a piedi con ristoranti aperti anche la sera.
• Bridget (10/5): Exceptional - Had such a wonderful time here, it’s my favourite part of the whole island. Lucas and Gabriella are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was amazing and the view is a spectacular finishing touch! I would love to come back here and recommend it to everyone:).
• Angelique (10/5): Wonderful placed - Lucas and Gabriella made a wondeful spot on this island. It is a less touristic part of Ilha Grande and great for hiking as well as relaxing in their garden or on one of te beaches. The breakfast was homemade and sitting on 'the grande table' you easily connect with other guests. The bed was very comfortable and the small kitchen gives you the possibility to cook your own dinner (bring fresh stuff from Angro dos Reis with you as the local supermarket does not have any fresh vegetables). Worth a visit! I was there in low season (beginning of May, Monday to Thursday) and places to go out for dinner were closed very early or closed at all
• Charlène (8/5): Some days in Ilha grande - The island is very nice, host are giving a lot of guidance and advise. The breakfast is a plus, it's very good and a lot of different homemade products. The outside area is very nice. The room feels a bit old.
• James (10/5): Beautiful beachside property with a delicious breakfast, helpful hosts and a friendly cat! - Pretty much 10/10 across the board to be honest! Wonderful friendly hosts, beautiful setting, delicious breakfast every morning (with home made yoghurt and cake!), free Netflix in every room, 3 mins walk from the beach and a very sweet cat too. 8 mins from the ferry terminal, and we were met on arrival to help bring our bags up too which was a lovely touch. The beach itself is beautiful and surprisingly quiet, but has 4 or 5 very good restaurants on it too. There are ample cooking facilities and a brand spanking new bbq area if you feel like cooking at home. A 20 minute walk from the home takes you to another very private beach, and just past that you can go snorkelling with turtles in Lagoa Verde. Would recommend this place to anyone, a very special and beautiful spot!

• Ellie (4/5): Really not worth the premium. We found more accommodating and nicer facilities elsewhere for the same price - The location is lovely There was a frosty atmosphere all the time. The toilet blocked and we were just handed a plunger.. it felt like we were being asked to pay through the nose constantly for things. We ordered food and was told how to heat it up. No fresh food on the beach, when we asked about anything we got short replies.
• Tekla (10/5): Exceptional - Selection was not huge but quality of the breakfast was good. Especially the self-made cake was amazing. Nice views, beautiful common area and super friendly host! We borrowed snorkeling gear one day to go to the green lagoon which was amazing. We were very happy with everything! You will have to carry your luggage along the beach to the house (8min). Not a problem for us though since we didn’t have a lot of luggage!

• Alisa (10/5): We had a wonderful stay - We had a great time here! We especially loved the large room with its own kitchen, big fridge, private bathroom with hot water and good water pressure, as well as a Smart TV with Netflix (already logged in with the hotel account)! Gabriela and Lukas are super nice, always helpful, and easy to contact. The breakfast is a real highlight, with homemade bread and cake, and a great view of the sea. Everything is very clean, and the common area is super cozy. The beach is only a 2-minute walk away, and there are a few mini-markets nearby.
• Aurelia (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel has a beautiful surrounding and view from the terrace to the sea, the hosts are incredibly friendly and welcoming, the breakfast is excellent and the location of the hotel is perfect - just a few steps away from the beach, besides the jungle and next to hiking paths. We stayed a few days and it was pure relaxation. We’ll come back :)
• Anna (10/5): Lovely apartment, great breakfast, nice owner - Very pleasant stay! Love the part of the island. Accomodation was clean and new. Lovely breakfast made by the owner on the porch with sea view. Close to the beach and almost in the forest 🤍 We actually saw a dolphins from the porch!
• Steven (9/5): We would definitely come back when on Ilha Grande - Gabriella & Lucas are incredible hosts. They were very helpful with arranging things we needed. Every morning an amazing breakfast with a smile. The room was very comfortable, clean and a good location on Araçatiba.
• Manini (10/5): Our favorite hotel in Brasil - Our stay at Pousada Sobre a Rocha was AMAZING! The place is a little off of the beach within the trees, where it’s fresh and protected from the heat, and only a 2 minute walk down to the main Araçatiba beach. The beach is gorgeous and remote, and you can find turtles if you go snorkelling there. Gabriella and Lucas are incredible hosts - the place is beautifully designed with the common eating/ chilling area looking out over the sea. Every day Lucas cooked us an incredible breakfast, with fresh fruits, homemade bread/ cakes, homemade yoghurt and jam, and cooked eggs or omelette. All absolutely delicious. In addition, Gabriella was super helpful in coordinating a day trip on a boat to explore other beaches and islands, and lent us with a guidebook to explore the beaches and sights nearby. The bedroom was clean, comfortable and very well equipped with a little kitchenette (recommended to bring food from the mainland if you want to cook as ingredients can be expensive on the island). Highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back as soon as we can be!
