Guest Reviews
- Richard (4/5): Needs TLC - Spacious room Most things were broken and very worn, didn’t feel very comfortable there
- Carrie (1/5): -
- Emma (1/5): Disappointing - Unable to comment. We could not gain access to the property and as a consequence we did not stay. We did not stay in the property because the host was not available to let us in. The key code was not shared, so, a dispute has been raised with Booking. Com.
- David (2/5): - No towels provided despite description stating they would be. I was unable to use the light switch in the room. The only source of light in the room was a broken bedside lamp with the wiring clearly visible. This was dangerous and breaks H & S regulations. No instructions for the TV so I couldn't watch it. Previous guests had smashed the toilet flush handle. It was possible to flush it however. I didn't use the kitchen.
Decor pleasant and clean and very convenient for Ally Pally. Such a pity about the lighting and dangerous condition of the lamp as the lack of a towel. I had to go out and by one!

- Timothy (10/5): Go gigging with no stress 😎 - Warm welcome from our Host Annie,
Ideal location for our needs (A visit to Ally Pally for a concert
)
5-10min walk to everything you need (Supermarket, High Street with Pubs/food etc) good Transport connections and short stroll back through park after night out much appreciated! Would've liked option to put beds together into a double maybe but was clear when booking this was twin beds, so is not a complaint :)
- Mia (1/5): Do not reccomend staying here at all unless you want to waste your money. Property is in a terrible area, an does not lo - Nothing We were unable to enter the property, did not look like the listing photos at all. Host had terrible communication, told us the wrong number and ignored our calls
- Brandir (10/5): - The host was very welcoming and pleasant. The wifi details could be clearer. Overall, it's a good stay.
- JEAN (2/5): An uncomfortable night in a council house spare bedroom - N/A Beds, blinds, decor, heating
- Mark (9/5): - Close to Alexander Palace. Centrally located for the area. Roomy and heated well Nothing
- josie (8/5): Excellent, pleasantly surprised - Location was fantastic, pleasantly surprised with comfort of room and helpfulness of Annie. It’s in a perfect place for Alexandra Palace, short walk to shops and restaurants.
- Jan (4/5): -
- Annette (5/5): Could be better! - Good price, good location for Alexandra Palace The entry system was quite vague, luckily we were let in by someone else entering the building
Our room was upstairs in someone's flat. They weren't in the property, but we were unsure as to what facilities we could use. It was obviously their personal kitchen downstairs, but we had no mugs etc in our room upstairs so had to retrieve two from their kitchen draining board, which felt slightly uncomfortable.
We had to search for towels, finally found them in the bottom of the wardrobe under some linen.
I would probably give it a 6/10 for cleanliness.
The communication was not good once we were in the property, no replies to our queries, particularly about how to reaccess the building on our return later that night. Again it was good fortune that someone was entering and let us in also.
The property has potential, and there are lots of good reviews, but sadly this wasn't our experience.

- Trevor (8/5): Very good - Stayed overnight as I had all day tickets for The Masters snooker at Ally Pally. This pla e was an excellent find, a short walk from the venue clean, comfortable and great value for money. No breakfast but tea making facilities available.
- Catchpole (8/5): Great host, cheap and clean - Annie is lovely, she checked to make sure that we knew where everything was and helped us with local information regarding the local busses etc.
The room and bathroom were clean and tidy, it’s perfect if you’re needing somewhere to stay overnight after a night out at the Ally Pally.
Parking on the street is free although it’s permit holders only between 10.00am & 2.00pm. No issues at all
- Perrin (7/5): Very great price and super comfy beds!! 🛏️ - The person who ran this room was very lovely and understanding when our train was late getting to London, and very good at communicating with prompt replies! The beds were super comfy and the shower was nice too! It was cozy, but not cramped and was a great place to crash for a night after a busy day! There was tea and coffee and filtered water which was a nice touch and plentiful towels, and bedding. Absolutely loved that we could have heating on, or the fan on. Overall, very pleased with our stay! This is not a criticism of the stay, as it is completely out of the owners control, but just bare in mind if staying here that its a mile walk to the nearest tube station! However this being said, there is a regular bus that stops a short walk from the room, which can get you to the tube stop if you're exhausted like I was haha!
- Jonathan (9/5): Great location and clean - Good location, friendly host, room and bathroom were both very clean. Just what we needed after a gig at Alexandra Palace. Nothing
- Lily (7/5): good distance from ally pally! - i came with my sister for somewhere to stay after a concert, it was a perfect distance from ally pally. we weren’t there much to be honest as was just somewhere to sleep after the show, but the beds were comfortable, it was tidy, our bathroom was clean and the host was really lovely and friendly when we spoke to her briefly. i recommend for anyone who wants somewhere cheap to stay after a concert at ally pally! only thing was that we couldn’t work out how to buzz ourselves in after the concert? we had a key to get in the room but it was in a block of flats and we couldn’t seem to get in, we got in when a delivery driver came out. i don’t know if that was just us being silly but that’s the only issue we found
- Sarah (8/5): Very good - Host was friendly and accommodation clean. There were two of us but only one cup in the room (although, to be fair, we never asked for another - I'm sure we probably could have had another easily!).
- Michael (9/5): Superb - The room is a walking distance away from the concert hall Alexandria Plalace. The lovely Host Ann cares about everything, that I could feel happy during my stay. Friendly, clean and cosy! There is no breakfast included, but there are good coffee places around hundret meters away.
- Kim (5/5): Cheap and cheerful - The landlord Annie was lovely You couldn’t lift the blinds in the room as people could see straight into the room. There wasn’t a kettle or fridge in the room. Just a cafeteria which isn’t great.
- Jenny (2/5): The worst accommodation experience ever. - Convenient late night access using lockbox. The bedroom was clean, tidy and comfortable. The apartment is modern and well-kept. The listing was extremely deceptive. It has since been changed, but was originally listed as: 'Featuring quiet street views, Alexandra Palace White Hart Lane With Pre-production music studio features accommodation with a terrace and a balcony...private kitchen...'
So we thought we were booking an apartment within a music studio, with a balcony, private kitchen, etc.
However when we arrived, too late at night to back out, we found ourselves in a council estate in Hornsey, not a music studio in White Hart Lane, and the accommodation was the host's spare bedroom.
The kitchen had dishes stacked on the bench top, unwashed dishes in the sink, and rubbish on the floor. The living area was locked. The 'balcony' was the shared access way between the multiple units in the 60s estate.
The host herself arrived at 2am, which we also hadn't expected.
We had to get up to let her in as we'd put the chain on the door.
The estate was extremely noisy, with people yelling throughout the night and into the morning, including someone who sounded completely off their head. Not sure how to describe that politely.
If you're a young city dweller, you might be okay with this accommodation.
As a couple in our 70s, we were not.
- Mohammed (10/5): perfect ,will recommend to everyone - everything was available including computers,a kitchen ,a very clean bedroom and bathroom
