• Homantin (6/5): Additional Charges and Power Outages - A nicely appointed, clean and comfortable street-level apartment. Soundproofing was good. We did not hear noises from the street unless we had the windows open. It had all modern appliances except for a dryer. There are supermarkets and several bus lines nearby. If not for the issues detailed below, our stay would have been perfect. Worth mentioning is the nice cleaning lady. She visited us half an hour after we got in to see if we needed anything. She showed us how to operate the electronic door lock, brought us additional toilet paper and extra tablets for the dishwasher. The support team was also responsive although it did not always respond in English. Everything is about money here. We stayed 4 nights in April 2026. In order to get the link to unlock the electronic door to the apartment, we must pre-pay via credit card either: 1. a non-refundable “Damage Waiver” of €18.19 to cover “minor accidental damage up to €100”, or 2. a €300 “Safety Deposit”, refundable if the property is undamaged. Tying up €300 is not a sensible choice when it could take weeks to get it refunded. So we were forced to pay an additional €18.19 since we had already fully paid for staying at the apartment. We did not need to check in early but it would incur an additional charge for checking in before 15.00: - 12:00–15:00: €26.25 - 09:00–12:00: €47.25 - 06:00–09:00: €67.20 For the money paid which was not cheap by any standard, we expected the apartment to be fully functional. However, power outage happened 5 (five) times during our stay although the support team quickly informed us how to get the power back. The team kept suggesting that it was certain electrical items we brought that caused the problem but we only had 4 iPhones that needed charging from the sockets. Water in the guest shower was only lukewarm. We read about these problems in reviews as far back as January 2025 but thought that they would have been fixed by the time of our stay. No, not yet, even after 15 (fifteen) months. There was a strange open-ended tube from a hole on the ceiling of the ensuite bathroom which kept dripping liquid into the washbasin below. The support team offered to fix it but we did not want to be interrupted during our stay. The address of the apartment is misleading. There is no street number “6” displayed anywhere. Just look for a white door with “1” on it. Again, previous occupants mentioned this problem many times. No one bothered to add a street number next to the apartment entrance. The wifi password was misleading too. We could only access it after clarifying with the support team.

• van Welzen (7/5): - Het slotensysteem van het appartement is digitaal en werkt niet op alle smartphones zo hadden wij het idee. Eenmaal binnen sluit de voordeur zichzelf na een minuut ongeveer met een harde klik. Het voelde alsof je opgesloten werd. We kregen geen reactie op onze mail tijdens ons verblijf over een aantal dingen die niet goed werkten.

• Jaimee (8/5): Good, quiet location, out of the hustle of the city, cosy but good for a family of 4 - Good location, pretty quiet, access was easy. Beds were small and quite hard, bathroom doors were hard to close but just needs a bit of maintenance. Not a deal breaker
• Emma (9/5): Great place to stay - Perfect accommodation for 2 couples. Very clean and well equipped. A short walk down the hill from the main areas but easily manageable. Like other reviews, we struggled a little to locate the property. We also hadn’t received the entry code by the arrival time despite having completed all the online forms. However, we received a very quick reply to our texts with the codes and using the electronic entry was easy thereafter.
• Στέλιος (9/5): - The apartment was located in one of the most beautiful areas in Madrid, quiet yet lively and safe, mainly with local residents. A super market was nearby and several buses were available to use for going to the city centre. The access was very easy and quick via the digital key, sent to us by email. It was very very clean, cozy and comfortable, ideal for three people. The hosts were quick to respond and helpful. Overall, we would choose it again if we returned to Madrid. It is one of the best possible options available in the city. There was a coffee machine but not coffee capsules. Some parts of the apartment need to be fixed, such as the one bathroom door, which cannot be locked and some coat hooks that were loosen and couldn’t be used. Also, the hosts sometimes replied in Spanish even though we were communicating in English, something that was corrected later on.

• Majdak (10/5): Overall really happy with our stay. - Very nice, clean and modern apartment with all the appliances you need. The self check-in was convenient and we could open the door using both the app and the physical key which they left on the table. It’s a 25 min walk from the center, quite far from the metro station but there are buses available. One bathroom door couldn’t close.

• Erblina (8/5): Very good - We did have a very hard time to enter in the apartment. The taxi driver could not localize the place it is the name of the street only without door number. Moreover we had issue with the internet and if thats the case you can simply not be able to enter. Luckily with a help of a good man passing by who was willing to help we managed to enter in. Eventhough we were already looking for the hotel nearby since it was late at night.

• Rosemary (7/5): Good - clean and newly renovated 1) We have trouble to find the apartment as the street number is missing on this location. 2) the door is opened via a link from outside which does not work very well during out stay. On the 3rd day, the appl was disconnected as we still have trouble to open the door. So we were advised to use the physical key. To open the door from inside, you have to put a finger on the keypad. but it is opened only on the third trial. You could not open manually if the appl is activated. This could be a safety concern if there is fire. 3) there are two bathrooms but you can only use one to take shower as there will be no hot water in the 2nd bathroom.

• Claudia (10/5): Exceptional - Everything in the apartment was brand new and clean. It's walkable to several bars and restaurants. Very short cab rides to Gran Via for shopping. It was a little difficult to find even our cab driver had issues.
