Guest Reviews
- Jessica (7/5): Poor management, wouldn’t recommend. - A quaint little home in a quiet town, comfortable beds and a good base location for trips into cradle mountain and close to other towns with good pubs etc. The owner needs to sort out admin with booking.com, she requested me to pay extra for the make up of the second bedroom which I had notified the property of upon my booking request. I didn’t pay and won’t be.
Located next to the main road / highway, traffic noise (unexpected).
The house had an odd smell to it, potentially due to be locked up.
All appliances were turned off, including the water taps to the washing machine which caused us a bit of pain (whites came out stained).

- Michael (9/5): Railton is a lovely town, and The Grand Ole Topiary is a beautiful place to stay. The host is caring - The house was beautiful- very cosy and well maintained. The gardens were picture perfect. The host rang us prior to arrival and was so caring and genuinely wanted our stay to be perfect. Not enough toilet paper.

- Jayde (10/5): Coral was very welcoming and the communication was great - Homely and welcoming Nothing
- heath (9/5): Comfort plus - Lovely cottage with nice garden
- Colette (8/5): - House was beautiful, gardens sweet.Very comfortable, easy access to shops and parks. Unfortunatly, heat pump went out so cottage was cold in the morning.
Neighbours where noisy with music and reving car engines at midnight. Not the owners fault.
- Gaylene (10/5): Would definitely stay again - So clean and cosy and the host was lovely The bed was a little firm for me but that's because I like a soft bed.
- John (6/5): Pleasant -
- Eyrl (9/5): Superb - Welcomed by Coral on phone.
Lovely thought with flowers on table and wine in fridge. N/A
- Kellie (4/5): Very disappointed with host - Property ok, host not so much. Felt bullied into additional payment. Bed uncomfortable, smelly ants inside, only provided minimum toilet paper etc had to purchase own if used up. Trees scratched car on entry, uneven path, trip hazard, thought had paid for use of whole cottage and charged extra for using additional bed, owner contacted and said it was extra as I used other bed cause partner had bad night due to medical condition. Stated was $200 per bed. Unheard of do not recommend.
- Robyn (10/5): Exceptional - Very quaint and comfortable, had everything we needed plus a nice bottle of wine
- Darren (9/5): Superb -
- Cameron (10/5): Great little cottage and suited our families needs - Great little cottage and suited our needs. It was nice to be able to also cook a meal after being on the road for a few days eating out all the time.
Also had washing machine which was great but no dryer Could have done with a dryer for wet clothes and no internet access.
- Josephine (7/5): The cottage was exceptionally clean and very comfortable with all the equipment needed. - Not applicable Not having WIFI - my daughters like to keep in touch with family in the UK.
- Chris (10/5): a great place to stay in Railton. super clean. perfect if you’re riding the Railton / Sheffield MTB trails -
- Sophie (10/5): Well located, spotless and cosy! - Coral was extremely friendly, helpful and understanding. The unit was super cosy, spotless, well equipped and a great base for exploring Cradle Mountain NP. Would definitely stay again if we were to pass through again. Nothing
- Ally (10/5): Absolute gem, you must stay! Beautiful comfortable clean house with plenty of charm - Beautiful house, probably the nicest place we stayed in Tasmania. Well equipped with lots of kitchen facilities, large bathroom and separate toilet. Even a separate little reading area. The house was very comfortable and clean. There were some cute Christmas decorations and a little gift, Carol is too sweet! Would absolutely recommend to anyone thinking about visiting! Would have preferred there to be wifi but it gave us a chance to fully switch off. The host is absolutely charming and we cannot recommend her enough :) Thanks for everything! Didn't seem to be any heating and one of the electric blankets didn't work so it was a little chilly. Didn't have a lot of signal whilst travelling so it was a little difficult taking a call to get the instructions for the house, but once through it was very nice chatting with her :)
