We saw many pademelons from the windows at dusk. Everything was great.
- Anna (10/5): Brilliant, wonderful & all sampled tastings we definitely look to buying again in the future. - We loved everything, and it was a great way to finish our trip around Tasmania as we could both unwind, relax & walk to the seller door & enjoy their beer, gin & whisky tastings.
We were welcomed with a cheese platter, as well as croissants for breakfast. The room was very comfortably appointed with everything you needed. It had a fabulous pantry variety & plenty of milk for our coffee. Our host at the distillery was welcoming , informative & very friendly. Thankyou for a beautiful stay.

- Susan (10/5): My favourite stay in my two weeks in south eastern Tassie. - Everything! Location, pademelons grazing in late afternoon, complementary croissants for first breakfast, engaging host, the cottage was so comfortable and welcoming, access to gin and whiskey tasting.
I am just concerned that it was so good that it won’t be available next time I want to stay… Nothing

Kitchen equipped with modern appliances including espresso machine. Comfortable king size bed. Roomy shower with strong water flow and plenty of hot water. Very friendly hosts - easy to communicate with, very responsive. Very well insulated and warm on cold evening. Conveniently located on same property as the distillery and tasting room. Nothing.
- Jozef (9/5): Lovely accommodation under the woods. - The cabin, located under the woods, creates a very special feeling. One feels very close to the nature. Kitchen (cupboards) could have been cleaner.
- Samantha (10/5): Modern cabin, so comfortable and inviting, beautiful view - Modern cabin, so comfortable and inviting, beautiful view
- Yang-Li (8/5): - Clean and well equipped.
Would be great if box tissues are provided, but not a huge issue.
Great to be near outdoors and we saw wallabies outside the cabin. Poor Wifi.
The surrounding land outside the cabin looks like the unused materials of the distillery were stored. Not much to do outside the cabin.
- Paul (10/5): Wonderful cabin stay in a beautiful part of Tasmania. - Wonderful cabin set in a beautiful location. We enjoyed a quick stop in at the cellar door before making our way to the cabin. - Peter (10/5): Simply excellence - 10 out of 10 this property is amazing. When we arrived the log fire had been lit for us and the room was so comfortable and warm there was croissants ready to be cooked for the following morning’s breakfast. The leather couches were so comfortable and the beds were the comfortablest beds we have ever slept in and the doonas were so soft and warm . When we went down to the tasting room at the distillery the people there were simply fantastic so friendly. We will definitely return only next time we will stay for longer to enjoy the property more . Mr McHenry came and introduced himself personally the best property we have stayed in in Tasmania highly recommend . There’s nothing anyone can dislike about this property

- Heather (10/5): One of the best accommodations and location we have stayed at in Tassie! - The location, and serenity!
Loved the clean bright space, loved the wood heater, loved the soaps and shampoo, loved the croissants to bake for breakfast.
Loved the short walk for an afternoon session at the distillery. The property was amazing!! 10/10 nothing we did not enjoy.
Only suggestion would be to have a selection of drinks in the fridge available to purchase or as part of the room rate.
Tissues or paper towel would be great.
- Cornelia (9/5): A perfect stay to relax, feel like you’re in nature but with all the comforts of a lovely little home. - Clean, great size, good equipped kitchen, very comfortable bed.
- Jean (8/5): Very good overall and great for people who like being remote. - This is an really good airbnb with comfortable, modern accommodations and a good kitchen. It is very remote - 2km into the forest on a dirt road.
- Julian (7/5): Good - The bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Nice space. The surroundings were really quiet and nice to see the stars. The pan was unusable, the fridge was dirty when we arrived, the sliding door window was covered with finger prints, and the drawer of the bathroom was full of hair.
- Richard (9/5): Enjoyable - Location and room was good. Pre cleaning wasn’t perfect.
- Margaret (10/5): It was fantastic. - It was beautiful and nice and quite area, loved the decking area, it was great to be able to sit outside.

All you needed for a few days. Wish we had time to stay longer. All was good. Wi-Fi isn’t strong anywhere in Taz. That’s probably a good thing!!
- Jacqui (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing views, clean modern cabin, fireplace, comfortable beds.
- Michelle (10/5): Absolutely loved our stay from the warm welcome, to the gin tasting! Everything in Port Arthur was close but at night we - Beautiful secluded cabin with everything that you would need provided. Gorgeous spot on the property of McHenry Distillery. We were made to feel welcome. The fire was a highlight on the cool nights. The beds were super comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. Perfect escape!
- Carole (9/5): Superb - Remoteness, open plan living room, big deck with tables and chairs, free tour through Distillery, had 12 wild wallabies eating around cabin at night. Close to 3 Capes walk. Great host who was very knowledgeable and interesting to talk to. Hard to fault as loved our stay, if it had more crockery, it would save doing dishes after every meal (dishwasher available)
- Kim (9/5): Great Tasman Pennisula Stay - Nice and spacious, and we enjoyed the fire place. Nothing
- David (9/5): Relaxing, enjoyable time had by all in the group. Thanks for your hospitality - Secluded.
Modern
Amazing fire place
The beds were so so comfortable( just a suggestion, you should get a mattress protector, you have invested a lot of money in them, shame if they got soiled) It is not what we didn’t like, just a few items would had made it complete.
Tissues would have been nice.
we had no TeaTowels, (but I think they were in the laundry to be washed. )
There was no milk.
A coffee plunger provided, but no coffee granules.
These may appear to be minor issues, but they make a difference to a stay.
- Jessica (10/5): Beautiful location with an off grid feeling without being totally secluded (with all amenities)! - Location was beautiful, quiet and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Great shower, comfy beds, warm linen & fireplace.
Hosts were accommodating, friendly and so welcoming. Only things we felt were missing was a coffee machine (pods, or even a fresh jar of instant & sugar).
And mum was looking for tissues. Nothing to dampen the stay at all.
- Maryrose (5/5): Passable -
- Karyl (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely fantastic accommodation. We cannot rave enough about it, truly wonderful. The place was modern, well equipped and fantastic king sized beds in both bedrooms. Love the fireplace!
It was so quiet at night and being greeted by bird song in the morning was just magic.
We thoroughly enjoyed the brewery tour with the owner, Bill was so knowledgeable, kind, very laid back and easy going, and funny.
We would definitely stay again but for much longer next time. Thanks Bill and team. Seriously, absolutely nothing!!! Except, we didn't stay longer sadly.
- Mitch (10/5): Exceptional - Alison was an excellent host and went out of her way to make our stay great
- Demi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matt (10/5): A hidden gem! When we booked, we didn’t realize it was part of the McHenry Distillery. - Beautiful, private location with everything we needed. Awesome fireplace, kept us warm all night. East drive into historic Port Arthur.
- Lc (10/5): Exceptional - Fabulous modern cabin in the wonderful location of McHenry Distillery. It has a 2 km tree lined road, which is a great entry to the cabin. Loved the open fire, which was an absolute treat in the colder months. We were treated to some lovely McHenry Distillery products too.
- Martha (9/5): Superb -
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Faye (10/5): Excellent value for money - It is a modern, open design with plenty of space. The log fire was terrific and they had it burning before we entered the property on both days. The bed was very comfortable and the host gave us some tips for which activities to do in the area.
- Leanne (10/5): This place is a hidden gem! -
