Guest Reviews
- David (9/5): Excellent location close to ferry & shops. Parking underneath was a bonus. - Great location. Comfortable & plenty of space for a 14month year old. Nothing
- Vanessa (10/5): -
- Narelle (1/5): Extremely Disappointing Never Stay Here - We booked this apartment for 11 nights in March which we think is just after the last reviewer from Poland was here.
Our experience was much the same as Aleksandra’s.
The apartment is very dirty to say the least and does not reflect the photos on the website at all.
The location is second to none and Suzanna the manager was quite helpful at the beginning but then ignored our messages to her as things kept going wrong. We did contact booking.com via phone and even though they agreed with us they did not take any further action with the exception, of giving us a night’s credit on our account. Extremely disappointing and I notice that it is booked from the day we leave so the next guests will have to put up with what we have had to.
We did contact the NSW Office of Fair Trading and this comes under Misleading and Deceptive Conduct as the photos do not accurately convey what is being offered for rent
The taps in the bathroom were dripping, and a plumber did change them however the basin tap continued to drip. Also, the basin is very badly cracked, and the shower is a disgrace just so dirty due to its age. Suzanna sent a cleaner to come in and try and clean the bathroom however, despite her best efforts it’s still in a very poor state due to age. However she did a great job cleaning out the kitchen cupboard and contents which were filthy, so kitchen is now ok.
Incidentally there was one wine glass when we arrived, manager sent two more. A couple of the cups need throwing out and replacing.
There are dead plants everywhere in the courtyard….throw them out!
One of the windows in the bedroom has fabric stuffed in it obviously to stop water coming in.
The cupboards are full of junk
The carpet does not need cleaning it needs ripping up and replacing.
Dishwater door as a huge piece of wood stuck to it so sometimes it opens mid cycle obviously incorrectly installed
Extremely poor lighting, needs replacing. It rained heavily & we had to wade through water to the apartment.
- Aleksandra (3/5): - Regrettably the location and the closeness of the ferry were the only pluses I can attribute to this property. Attributing the word "designer" to this unit is a misnomer. The kitchen was well renovated but the frypans, several coffee mugs and spoons were unwashed and put away in the cupboard. Clearly the owner, obviously making money hand over fist, hasn't bothered to keep the place fresh or clean. The carpet had a bad odor. There were cobwebs dangling from the kitchen ceiling. The tiles on the walls of the shower alcove were covered in yellow mould, while on the the narrow window sill small tiles long fallen off exposing discolored cement. The so-called linen closet had no room because it was stacked to the rafters with the owners junk. In the bedroom the gaps in one window were stuffed with strips of material to stop the draught. The bedsheets and the duvet were stained with what looked like dried yellow urine. We had to throw everything into the washing machine then dry it before we could go to bed. The stains remained. While the couch was comfortable, there was a huge amount of food crumbs under the couch pillows. The cleaner was either blind or lazy. Out on the terrace, the recliners were dirty but comfortable, while the whole terrace area itself looked like it hasn’t been swept or cleaned for years. The front door had a 5cm gap at the bottom which allowed cockroaches to freely wander in one night. We paid 4 grand for 12 nights for this place. The lady whose small company manages this and other units in Sydney (God knows what they really look like) was reasonably polite but completely indifferent to our plight. At the end of our stay she ignored my phone call and numerous messages regarding a response to my request for financial compensation and did not call me back. We couldn't leave earlier because that would mean losing 50% of our payment. Given the poor hygienic condition of this property we are amazed that so many previous guests have written such glowing reviews. Attached are only a few photos how we found the unit.
