• Constanze (10/5): Großartiges Erlebnis - Fantastischer Blick! Große, komfortable Unterkunft, man hat alles, was man braucht. Das Beste ist die Lage. Nur 5min hinunter zu Fuß und schon ist man mitten drin. Aber da oben hat man eine historische Siruation, die ihres gleichen sucht:) Das Mobiliar ist etwas Geschmackssache.

L'appartement dispose de tous les équipements nécessaires dont une machine à laver. L'emplacement dans le vieux Gjirokastër offre une vue à couper le souffle depuis les deux terrasses, avec la mosquée et le château en toile de fond. L'accueil d'Alfred a été parfait, je recommande vivement !

• Christopher (10/5): A truly unforgettable place to stay. I absolutely adored this place. - This was one of the best places I have ever stayed on holiday. The location is truly excellent, very near to the castle and the old bazaar. The view from the windows and the terrace is truly breathtaking. It is near the top of the old town and you can look down on the stone roofs of Gjirokaster, or across the valley at the mountains beyond and feel like you are on top of the world. The host was very helpful and went out of his way to give us a lift to the property from the bus station. The property itself is a beautiful historic building and has been wonderfully furnished with lots of characterful furniture and artwork. It represents truly excellent value for money I disliked nothing about the property. It is a fantastic place. My only regret is that I didn't book a longer stay. I would recommend it wholeheartedly if you are looking for a unique place to stay in Gjirokaster.

Erg goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding - We verbleven één nacht met ons gezin (drie kinderen) in het gezellige huis van Alfred, die ons persoonlijk kwam ophalen en naar ons huisje bracht. Alles was super verzorgd: een schone kamer met een prachtig uitzicht over het oude centrum van Gjirokastër en het kasteel. De locatie was perfect – je liep zo naar de oude bazaar en het historische centrum. ’s Ochtends werden we verrast met een heerlijk, vers ontbijt dat Alfred precies op tijd voor ons had klaargemaakt. Alles was gewoon tiptop geregeld, een echte aanrader! Alles was goed

The views from the bedroom (with fireplace) through the 3 traditional windows over the city were outstanding. There is also a terrace on the top and a lovely balcony from the kitchen. the decor is also interesting. It could be a hard climb from the town to the house. We did not mind, but less fit people may consider this. In any case, without it, one would not have the stunning view

• Jeroen (10/5): Exceptional - Very spacious apartment in the middle of the city. The house was in the typical Girokaster historical style. The streets of Girokaster are a bit of a maze, but the owner came to pick us up and showed us how to drive to the house.

• Nicole (8/5): Stunning views and steeped with history - The place is beautiful, historic, and spacious. Wonderful terrace and patio with fantastic views. Incredibly close to the castle, with a birds eye view from the room. The second bedroom has twin beds, which is not great for two couples. The coffee maker was not cleaned well, and there was no decaf, but I'm sure this was an oversight. Only giving an 8 instead of a 9 for these two reasons.

The host was amazing (Fredi) who did everything possible to assist my family and I to ensure a pleasant stay! Would definitely stay at the location again. Parking was a challenge but Fredi assisted with all aspects. One of the most genuine individuals I have had the pleasure ever meeting.

• Esther (10/5): Apartment in perfect location - Very nice apartment with balcony and roof terrace in perfect location to discover Gjirokastra and still sleep quietly. Hosts are extremely nice and helpful with parking etc. Beds were okay. Apartment could have been cleaner.
• Jane (9/5): Superb - This is an amazing place to stay in Gjirokaster - one of the traditional ottoman era buildings. It is a 5 minute walk down to the main historic centre where the bazaar and restaurants are. It is a very steep hike back up to the house but you are rewarded with the most incredible view of the city, castle and mountains from the private balcony.
• Monika (10/5): Lovely antique house with a beautiful view of the castle - The property was very well positioned, clean and comfortable. It was like living a piece of history, becasue the building is furnished with vintage furniture, it has a chimney in the main bedroom, as well as a very cute piano. It has a view of the castle which makes it even more beautiful. The rooms and the kitchen have all AC, which was very helpful as it was a little cold during the night due to a bit of humidity. The host was really welcoming and available, he suggested us what to do and where to go during our stay and was really kind. I would reccomend this apartment and would come back :)

Good communication with owner who helped with parking, which was important as the parking and driving in Gjirokaster is extremely challenging! Anyone who has mobility issues would definitely struggle to walk up and down into town - it's up a fairly steep hill. nothing

• Andy (10/5): Great location, awesome view and an excellent host - This apartment is hosted by Alfred (Freddy) and he could not have been more pleasant to deal with. He provided excellent communication before we got there and was extremely helpful on our arrival. The apartment is excellent and is fully equipped with everything you will need for your stay. The washing machine was great to have as we'd been traveling for a while. There were also coffee pods provided for the coffee machine. The view from the balcony is incredible with an unobstructed view of the old town and castle - a perfect spot for a morning coffee while the sun rises and a beer as the sun sets. It's close to the old town for restaurants, bars and the tourist attractions. If you are arriving by car, ask for the parking location prior to arrival as Google Maps took us to the wrong side of the apartment area where the road became very steep and suddenly ended. It wasn't an issue as Freddie jumped in the car with us and showed us the way to the correct side for parking. I cannot rate this place highly enough so feel confident in booking it. You won't be disappointed.
