Guest Reviews
- Robyn (2/5): Could not stay as totally unsuitable for me and my obedience competition dogs despite the ads. Information was graduall - The lounge and bedrooms looked very nice The kitchen was up “in a cupboard”.
The “bathroom “ was in the laundry.
There’s a 4-lane highway in front.
The outside is shoddy, garden litter, no garden.
You have to lug your luggage up from vehicle (it’s easiest to park on the street (highway) rather than narrow carport
- Rebecca (9/5): Weekend getaway in Launceston. - Modern, tastefully renovated, clean and comfortable. Convenient location and easy to find. Clear instructions for accessing the property easy checkin and out. Shower and bathroom sink was a bit low for taller people.
- Petar (1/5): Disruptive stay causing us to find alternate accommodation. - Property was well furnished. There was a possum in the walls that screeched throughout the night, which resulted in no night of undisturbed sleep during our stay. We notified the owners after the first night, but their action was delayed and no pest professional was engaged until several days later.
As we weren't able to get any rest, we had to leave early and pay for last-minute alternative accommodation (during Christmas time) at a higher cost. While a refund for unstayed nights was provided, we are still out of pocket due to the last minute need to find alternative accommodation.
The hosts should have called a pest expert as soon as they were notified, but only did so after we notified booking.com that we would like to leave.
Additionally, the property is on a main road which is quite loud.
- Rachel (9/5): Everything you need and more - Very well appointed with more than you need. Homely feel with comfortable beds. Great communication with hosts.
- Mark (9/5): Wonderful accom close to town - Great location , is on a main road though so some traffic noise
The property is beautifully furnished
We loved staying here and would definitely recommend it
- Bernadette (10/5): They thought of everything. - The level of detail that the host has put into this property is exceptional from the cotton buds in the bathroom to the pantry staples, the huge comfortable sofa and chairs and everything needed for preparing meals in the kitchen. On top of the careful way the rooms have been decorated. It’s a beautiful home. A bit close to the road but didn’t cause any issues
- McDowall (10/5): - A lovely clean comfortable place.
- Faheem (10/5): Amazing vintage vibes and value for money -
- Taylor (10/5): -
- William (7/5): We felt like we were an inconvenience to the hosts. - Quality products provided in kitchen and bathroom
Comfortably and tastefully furnished Difficulty accessing from street
No real onsite parking
Located on busy Western highway- noisy
Constant deliveries
- Rachel (10/5): Warm and cost heritage apartment with top quality amenities - This lovely heritage apartment was a pure delight. It has so much character and is extremely warm and comfortable with every possible amenity provided. The location suited us perfectly and was pretty much walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go, including the stunning Cataract Gorge. The bed was very comfortable and communication with the owner was excellent. The well-stocked kitchen was one of the best I’ve encountered in accommodation, with some great cook books too. We’ll definitely be booking again for our next trip to Launnie
- Suzanne (9/5): Sensational! Would happily return 😊 - A beautiful little oasis, close to the city. Very clean and beautifully presented. Much thought and care has gone into the quality inclusions to ensure you have everything you need.
Very comfortable rooms and beds, warm and cosy during our stay.
A few things to consider, but don’t let these put you off as this is a really fantastic accommodation offering. There are a few stairs to content with and the parking space is just ok, but lots of on street parking available.
Would absolutely stay here again, so much nicer than a hotel and although we didn’t self cater, you absolutely could in the small, but gorgeous kitchen, it has everything you need.
- Chad (10/5): Exceptional - Exceptionally clean well decorated character property in handy location to penny royal and catarac gorge.
- Paula (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alison (10/5): A welcoming and well resourced character property with an attentive and responsive hostess. - The property was spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds, great heating and full of thoughtful touches like environmentally friendly toiletries and cleaning products and an expansive range of specialty tea blends and Nespresso pods. Pantry staples were also supplied and Netflix was accessible too. There is a bus stop directly outside for easy connection to public transport. The atmosphere of the property and attention to detail is great. Beyond anyone’s control was the varying level of traffic noise during peak hours. We probably noticed more than most people would because we usually reside in a low traffic density location. After a few nights in residence the impact lessened as we became more used to it. Definitely not a deal breaker given all the very positive attributes of the property.
- Robyn (10/5): Well appointed home with all comforts - Comfortable with lovely decor and furniture. High quality tea and coffee and bathroom products No dryer. Road noise. Carport too narrow.
- Roz (9/5): Superb -
- Pete (9/5): Superb -
- Sheree (9/5): Excellent - A beautiful heritage home with everything you need. The beds were super comfortable and location was great.
- Kristy (9/5): Superb - Excellent location in a beautiful heritage house, we were able to walk to theCataract Gorge. The kitchen was very well supplied and the beds were very comfortable and we would definitely stay here again. We had a small problem accessing the Wifi but Katie responding immediately and was able to remedy the situation
- T. (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the great historic apartment with all the authentic details Wifi
- Michael (10/5): Awesome - Thank you Katie, fantastic location, top notch ,can't fault your place, will definitely stay there again.
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Debra (8/5): Very good - Lovely heritage weatherboard 2 story house!. Very tastefully renovated. Fully equipped facilities. Entire 1st level for occupation with main house above. Lovely comfortable beds, and fire mantles. Short walk to Cataract Gorge. Yes, the unit is technically on the ground floor of a 2 story home, that's built on a very steep slope.
As 2 older ladies, (1 less mobile than the other) we struggled getting our luggage from the car parked on the street, up the short steep driveway, then along the slopping path to 9 steps to the verandah into the accommodation. This detail would have been helpful to know in addition to this being in the ground floor. If we were less capable, this would have been a real problem for us. We had issues connecting to the internet that didn't get resolved.
- Cathy (9/5): would stay again for sure - great location Busy main road out the front
- Catherine (8/5): Lovely place not far from Cataract Gorge and town centre - Beautifully presented character home On a busy road with steep access which some guests might find tricky with heavy luggage
Some milk in the fridge would have been nice
- Christine (9/5): Excellent - Lovely renovated first floor of big old house. Clean and cosy.
Walking distance to city. Clothes dryer
- Badcock (10/5): Divine Heritage House... just Perfect !! - Super heritage weatherboard 2 story grande house!. Perfectly tastfully decorated. Fabulous facilities. Entire 1st level for occupation. Just lovely with comfortable beds, lovely fire mantles & furniture. Pet friendly as well!! Nothing at all!
- Sandra (9/5): Comfortable and beautiful accommodation - Very clean, beautifully restored 2 bedroom unit with easy access and good facilities. The kitchen was well equipped with a full oven, 4 element stove top and a dishwasher. Plenty of utensils so meal preparation was very easy. Comfortable and warm, and great to find pet friendly accommodation.
The owners provided very helpful and timely instructions, and it was a very easy walk to the base of Cataract Gorge. On a main road, the noise was a little intrusive in the early morning, however we live in a rural location so are noise sensitive.
