Guest Reviews
- Trevor (10/5): - Location
- Koulas (7/5): - Area was great house overall is good but need windows need curtains for privacy. Shower in the back was dirty, floor not clean vaccum cleaner didnt work toilet seats need repair.
- Melinda (8/5): Clean, spacious house in a great location in Hobart. - Clean comfortable house in a very convenient location in Hobart. The house is quite basic but comfortable enough for a stay of several days. The host was easy to contact and answered quickly. Bus stop to the city around the corner and the supermarket a 5 min walk away. The parking situation is questionable. There is restricted parking outside the house but the host claimed that we could park in front of the house and wouldn't be booked. Not sure how that works but it would have been useful if he had told us that he had a residents parking permit if that is the case.
- KWL Hotmail (8/5): Good value but not great - All rooms are good and spacious. Kitchen facilities were food. Fridge Freezer was great. Beds were comfy. Floors were not clean, ensuite bathroom was tiny and no hooks for anything. Vacuum cleaner was not working, no broom.
- Lim (7/5): - Great location, well equipped kitchen Place is a bit dusty, vacuum cleaner was broken when I wanted to clean it myself .

- Charly (7/5): Overall and pretty good stay in Sandy Bay! Thankyou for having us! - It was in a great location and such a warm and cozy vibe. Suited our group great and all the facilities were easy to use. The lock on the door was extremely fiddly which took us a few goes to lock every time we left the house.
- Oleg (7/5): Overall not bad, would probably book again - Superb location, walking distance to everything. Clean and well appointed apartment.
Peaceful. Very old house with little to no ventilation, especially in master bedroom.
Slow internet, 2mbps.
Advertised as including parking, but was advised not to park in the driveway so had to hunt for a spot in the street with people constantly parking in front of house.
Idiotic toilet and sink location in master bedroom, have to really slide yourself in there and I am 164. A taller person would really struggle
- Di (5/5): Location great, hopefully things improve for future tenants - Location was great, walking distance to cafes and supermarkets. Very tidy from the outside How dirty it was. It was like it wasn’t cleaned after the last tenants left. The vacuum cleaner didn’t work and we searched for a broom, no luck. so we couldn’t clean the floor. So many rules stuck everywhere, felt like you couldn’t relax, touch anything or sit anywhere incase you marked the already marked and stained furniture. the rules to wear other people’s shoes inside and not your own made me feel dirty an unhygienic. Then the ensuite! You can’t even sit on the toilet straight, you have to sit sideways out the door, you also have to hold the door open as it slides shut. I had to stuff a sock under the sliding door so I didn’t get hit. Out the back was like a construction site, drills and working materials laying everywhere. There is no off street parking so be careful as only one side of the street is unmetered and straight out the front of the home is 1hr parking if your lucky you can jag a park down the street if the locals haven’t taken all the spots.
- Todd (8/5): The Sandy Nest - Great Location for Your Stay in Hobart - The location was great, with grocery and restaurants available very near by ... and downtown Hobart was a nicely walkable distance as well. the kitchen was good, and we really enjoyed having a washing machine available for clothes. The kitchen lacked a few items, like a can opener and cheese grater, but these were minor ommisions. It's a very usable space.
- lorraine (5/5): Very disappointed the photos are not true - The location was good however parking could be a problem as not allowed to park in the shared driveway there was plenty of hot water the bedrooms were big and heated The front door was tricky to lock and unlock the furniture was minimal and cheap the only sofa in the small lounge room had a leg that looked like it would give way at any time the only other chair to sit on was like a rock
The kitchen was big but had limited and some dirty dishes and cooking pans we washed everything before we used it as there was a lot of funky smells
There was 6 green tea bags supplied with a small jar of old coffee but no fresh milk only a 2 litre carton with dregs in the bottom which of course we had to throw out The ensuite toilet could only be sat on from the side as it was too close to the sink
The back garden was unkept and had building materials everywhere a real trip hazard
There were no blinds or window coverings to dining area and kitchen

Single bed too small for tall person.
