- Neil (1/5): Nice flat, nightmare with parking and agent/staff attitude - avoid. - Flat was clean and in a modern block. Location not as shown on Booking.com before booking - total other end of the street. Full address only shown after making payment. The company use an autoresponder to every message which continually asks for the same information. I booked this due to the FREE PARKING. We were given the number of a young man who would meet us at the flat, but no info about the parking despite having asked twice. On trying to find the flat we found there was no parking nearby. He was waiting in the flat for us. We asked him to come down and were met with a load of attitude, including him telling us to park in a disabled only bay whilst he showed us round the flat. I refused, he became stroppy and went back into the flat to collect the car park blipper. I parked the car. He stated "park anywhere in the underground car park" which was in a different street and under a different building. On returning to my car the next day, another resident told me I should not be parked there without a permit, another told me the same on the day of leaving - at which point I noticed a sign in the bins area of the flats stated "from July 2022 ALL cars must display a permit or will be fined". By pure luck I was not fined. Travelling with an elderly relative, we had confirmed in advance that there was a lift - this failed the very next morning after we arrived and was never fixed, a resident I met on the Friday said it was often failing and was always taking ages to get fixed. The property far from being a holiday let appeared to be someone's abandoned home, complete with a mixed selection of chipped crockery and reading material. If I'd wanted that, I would have booked on AirBNB... on top of this, the letting agent Altido sent a number of patronising messages including one stating that we should minimise electricity use as it was "winter" (it was May).
