Guest Reviews
- Wilken (9/5): -
- Gerda (4/5): This accommodation is in a lovely location but not suitable at all for a relaxing, cosy get away. - The views were very beautiful. It was very quiet. The spiral staircase was impossible and dangerous to go up and down. Luckily we are thin, strong and fit. The couch was very small and uncomfortable. We couldn't get cosy and comfortable to watch tv which you would want for a weekend relaxing getaway There was no WiFi for the tv so we were limited to watching free to air. Breakfast was rationed and so not enough to cover two mornings. There was only one bedside lamp and table so I had to put my glasses on the floor - very hard to find in the dark at night.
- Sue (10/5): A lovely place to stay. Beautiful scenery and we loved the large circular window next to the bed - It was the perfect location for the wedding at Immerse. The scenery surrounding the estate was beautiful and the singing of the bell birds went on all day and was so lovely. We would also like to thank Cathy and staff for finding my husbands glasses that he dropped somewhere outside the cellar door. It was a short drive to Yarra Glen or Healesville with lovely shops and food. We would have loved a screen door on the bedroom veranda door, so that we could sleep with the door open without worrying about flys or mosquitoes.
- Jordan (10/5): One of the best weekend getaways we’ve ever had. We will be back! - Gorgeous views, extremely friendly staff, close to everything Yarra Valley Not a whole lot to complain about being honest. Everything was met to our expectations and then some
- Bianca (8/5): Stunning all around it was just the amenities that unfortunately let us down. - The view was GORGEOUS!!! It was absolutely stunning! Such a good prime location and the views were breathtaking. The tower itself was beautifully kept and I loved the idea of it. We spoke to a male on the property (not sure if he was an employee or the owner) but he was LOVELY! Such a stunning estate and the drive into the property was gorgeous. We were staying for a wedding during the week and I loved it. I know it couldn’t have been helped due to the tower layout, but I didn’t like how the toilet was less than a few inches from the bed. Also it was a double bed and really small, and unfortunately for my partner and I the bed base was broken and it made the stay uncomfortable.
- Alexandra (9/5): Amazing stay!! -
- Shawn (10/5): Fantastic. - The location was perfect and the people were welcoming. A very generous breakfast basket and the room well equipped. We were pleased we did the vine tour as added to our knowledge to understand why we like and disliked certain wines. The tasting was exceptional as it was paired with complimenting snacks which changed the variety I wasn’t fond of, to a good drop 😀 it also gave me insight into the changes I should make to my snacks for entertaining . Don’t let the stairs put you off …just keep take toiletries upstairs and leave everything else downstairs. As waking up to nature will be worth it.
- Nick (9/5): Beautiful spot in the Yarra Valley and we plan to come back again - The tower accommodation has fabulous views across the valley. It is a quiet spot with birdsong echoing over the vines. The host was friendly and checked that everything was OK when they saw us. The wine at the cellar door is also excellent. The facilities are quite simple but fine for a short stay. I don't have any negative comments and the accommodation and facilities were as described. The bathroom and shower are ensuite in the bedroom and as with some hotel rooms you need to be comfortable with this sort of open plan set up.
- Rebecca (10/5): Lovely stay in the Yarra Valley - We had the most wonderful stay at Sutherland Estate over the long weekend. Close to everywhere we wanted to visit in the Yarra Valley. Comfortable room with beautiful views of sunset. Also had a lovely tasting downstairs at the cellar door! Thank you for our lovely stay The staircase was a little scary to begin with - however we got used to it quickly!! Wouldn’t recommend a big suitcase
- Stuart (10/5): -
- Georgia (8/5): Wonderful secluded stay - Views were amazing. Cathy was lovely and very accommodating. Great wine too!
- Amanda (8/5): -
- Stephen (10/5): - Wonderfu views and memorable accommodation. Great communication. Thank you for a very relaxing stay.
- Genevieve (8/5): Cosy and picturesque - perfect for a short-term stay. -
- bul (10/5): -
- Tim (8/5): - good enough for the facilities provided The room etc could have had a bit of a clean first, cobwebs on the walls upstairs
- Naniesha (10/5): beautiful views and good wine - the area was amazing beautiful views and Angus was really accommodating breakfast stock up for the second day would be nice, kitchenette facilities could have been better - sink would be nice for more water
- Ingrid (9/5): -
- Kayla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pritchard (10/5): People were so lovely and easy to communicate when needed - The stunning views. My parents loved it for there weekend away!! Things were a little outdated within the tower but it was still beautiful and comfy and amazing!
- Chen (8/5): In general it is a very lovely stay and getaway. Staff is super lovely, and the cellar door wine tasting experience is s - stunning location, and very different experience, as it is a small tower We had AC on whole night the first night, but it is quite loud and hard to sleep.
Also because the days we were there is rainy, we are lazy and trying to find food, but no food can be offered on site at all, and we have to drive to the nearby town
- Nico (8/5): Fantastic experience staying in the towers with amazing views, both sunrise and sunset - The location, the stunning stunning views, the wine, the knowledge and friendliness of the wine maker and owner and sharing that with us, having breakfast each morning with amazing views, the two airconditioners, fantastic water pressure for the showers. Whish we could have stayed longer! Add a microwave in the second kitchenette.
Consider adding an airfyer in both kitchenettes as this will allow guests the flexibility of preparing light meals.
- Marcela (10/5): The Yarra valley was in full splendour. - The location and views. It was a little smaller than we had expected but fine for us. I would suggest someone who has vertigo or struggles with stairs to rethink staying here, just because there is a spiral staircase, but the place was splendid. If I have to be picky, it could have done with a place to put our luggage.
- Deborah (8/5): Very good - Beautiful quiet spot, lovely views The shower head could be changed to an adjustable head would be great, especially given the space restrictions. This will help when adjusting the water temperature when stepping into the shower.
The stairs felt a little rickety when going up & down.
- Kim (8/5): Very good - Beautiful Place, Views spectacular
- Bhaskar (9/5): Superb -
- Manu (6/5): Pleasant stay - the host was excellent , the property on a hill , the view of the wineyards, proximity to city city centre and other wineries too much climb in the room , wasn't really clean , average breakfast and wine tasting is closed on weekdays. Nothing to do really in the property
- Hilda (7/5): The stay was existing and different the spiral stairway a little difficult for an 88 year old gentleman - the rolling hills and vineyards beautiful views
- Slawek (10/5): Exceptional - the views from bedroom and unique set up of the accommodation Little bit tight for space in bedroom, but not a deal breaker
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mabel (8/5): Stunning view of vineyards and rolling hills -
- Rachel (10/5): Beautiful and would recomend for a short get away! - Very clean and beautifully kept. Great location with spectacular views
