Guest Reviews
- Sharon (8/5): Lovely stay at the loft and on an amazing location! -
- Samir (6/5): Not worth for the money paid for it - The location was the only positive part (although I was only sceptical of it when booking) These points are relevant for the attic room:
1. Wifi -> it was barely working, we were using our own internet in most cases
2. Kitchen -> the description says the room has a kitchen, which is wrong. It is separate in one floor down
3. Towel & Bedsheet -> the first set was stinking, the second set was better, but with holes
4. Shower -> water line was maybe the worst part, it was dependent on all floors below, so practically there was always someone downstairs using water which was making almost impossible to adjust the temperature. I was literally spending 20-30 minutes everyday for just adjusting water (water pressure was barely enough). And “water heater” was directly connected to “headshower”
5. Staircase-> it wasn’t properly ventilated
- Cameron (7/5): Good location good value room with spare appointments - The location near Tufnel Park tube is great, with enough amenities close-by. It is good value. After booking, we found out that on that particular day it was not available until 6, which could be inconvenient for someone who needs it after a long flight. However the host was flexible and we came back late. The room is clean enough, but very spare and would not be pleasant for extended daytime occupation.

- Karine (10/5): A true gem just a stone's throw from central London, Camden and Hampstead Heath. - Fantastic location literally 5 minutes from the tube, with local grocers, bars and restaurants on the doorstep. It's about a 30 minute stroll from Camden in a lovely peaceful leafy neighbourhood. The ensuite room in the loft conversion is spotless, bright, comfortable and airy - we love the velux windows above the bed to stargaze through. It had everything that we needed, including a fridge. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided too. No TV which is absolutely fine by us.. we didn't come to watch TV! We were welcomed by the host's lovely daughter, but didn't spend too much time there because we went to gig at Koko, did some Xmas shopping down Camden Market and ate out locally. This is a long established family home with a lovely vibe to it with all the basic facilities that you would need, and is ideal for anyone visiting central/north London destinations. Great value, great accommodation, great location. Can't recommend enough! The only thing we didn't like was going home!

- Roncacci (10/5): Great location - Location great, the room had everything you needed
- Esra (10/5): -
- Avery-Piper (10/5): perfect location for visiting london - brilliant location stairs were a little bit of a killer but we got used to them
- Sophie (10/5): Most beautiful apartment which made my days in London even better! - This was one of the most beautiful apartments I ever stayed at via booking.com! Beautiful, clean, cute, comfy, close to everything you need and very easy to check-in and leave!!! If I knew I could live in an apartment like that, I’d think about moving to London and staying there for a while - loved it!!!

- S (10/5): - Me and my partner were staying at the suit for 2 nights due to a concert happening nearby, we both loved the location and its accessibility! Tube was just a 2 minute walk from the accommodation, around the corner you could find all kind of different places to eat and have a drink at. The suit was clean and comfortable, we were also provided with all the necessities and if we had an issue or a question about the property we could always find Ebony around to help us out!
- Monica (9/5): Vriendelijke mensen - Vriendelijke mensen en fijne locatie . Het was echt waardevol 3 verdiepen - trap
- Giulia (10/5): Ottimo! Consigliatissimo!
- Kristína (9/5): - lokalita, vybavenie nebola možnosť sa ubytovať v noci (self check in)
- Gina (9/5): Great value in a wonderful neighborhood! - This is my favorite area to stay in London, can’t recommend it enough. A sanctuary from the busy city center. The location is well connected to the tube and buses. Everything you need is also within walking distance including grocery stores, great restaurants, coffee spots, and bakeries. The room was spacious and comfortable. Very quiet. I stayed during a rare heat wave (90 degrees F one day!) and although the room was warm during the day, it cooled off SO much at night. This area has a great breeze and I was surprised at how well I slept considering the weather. A fan was also provided which was helpful. The mini fridge and microwave are a big plus, and a shared kitchen is available if needed. The price was fair and a good deal in this usually expensive city. I would stay here again! These weren’t an issue for me, but good to be aware of. There are a few flights of stairs to get up to the flat. Ceilings are low in some areas as its a top floor unit. If you’re very tall something to consider. The building has another rental room and a family living downstairs. Rarely saw anyone else and the space felt very private and quiet.
- Jacobus (5/5): Passable -
- Vasiliki (10/5): Exceptional - Nice, clean, renovated loft space located in a quiet area and close to the train station and to many coffee shops, restaurants and groceries.
- James (8/5): Clean and comfortable room in family house, close to 02 Forum - Perfect for an overnight after seeing a band at the O2 Forum It’s an en suite room in a family property, so if you want 5 star luxury, pick somewhere else. If you just need to get your head down somewhere clean and comfortable for a few nights it’s ideal.
- Bentley (8/5): A room with a view - The room was a good size, clean, light and airy. Having a kettle and fridge in the room was useful. Ebony, the host, was friendly and quick to respond to any questions. It was an excellent location for exploring Hampstead Heath, Regent's Park and a few stops on the Northern Line took you into Central London. There are lots of great independent coffee shops and restaurants nearby. The bed and the pillows were quite hard.
- Glen (8/5): Ideal for any visitors to the area or O2 Kentish Town - Very close to the Tube. Very easy to find. Ideal for anyone attending the 02 Forum in Kentish Town as was the case with me. Just a short walk and you’re there, which was perfect! Ebony greeted me at the door and was very friendly and she indicated to me where to go. If you don’t like stairs, then not recommended as this is three flights up, but I’m okay with stairs so no issue. Room looked very cosy on arrival and it looked clean. Nice skylights above the bed which give the room ample daylight. Fridge and coffee/ tea facilities are available. Only downside is the shower does not have good pressure and goes cold every now and then. But not a big deal tbh. All in all nice comfortable stay. Many thanks. Shower not the best
- Wray (8/5): Very good -
- Andreas (9/5): Superb - Fantastic stay and 100% what I expected and wished for. Nice, VERY clean and affordable. I rare treat in Camden tbh. The host Ebony was lovely and I will most certainly stay here again in the future. Highly recommended.
- Elphege (6/5): Pleasant - Nice apartment with good location it was very dirty (hair in the corner of the room, lot of dust)
- Zsofi (6/5): Pleasant -
- Hayley (8/5): Very good - Location and good size room
- Zhenjun (5/5): Passable - location is good. the house is under refurbishment.
- Jessica (10/5): Great & easy stay. No issues at all - Peaceful, great location. Flexible check-in
- Peter (8/5): Comfortable, clean and exactly where I needed to stay - The room was very nice, clean and comfortable.
The location was just where I needed to be, so ideal for me
It is worthy of note that there is obviously some renovation work going on at the property, which might put some people off on first arrival, but this in no way affected access quality or cleanliness of my room and, in my opinion, shouldn't detract from the overall approval of the accommodation
I would stay certainly here again
- Jones (8/5): Very good -
- Repping! (10/5): Exceptional - Staff very kind, room very clean and comfortable. Good location Internet was pretty rubbish but everything else was good
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- Sue (5/5): bed was comfy nice sheets -lady who answered the door was helpful - no breakfast offered 5 floors up through a house that is obviously still under renovation didnt feel safe not sure what to have done in the event of fire etc?
- Jennifer (6/5): Bright, spacious and perfectly located, but… - It was bright and spacious. The bedding and bathroom ware was clean.
Located in a great part of town with an underground station very close by.
The owner was lovely and kindly allowed an extra guest to stay at short notice at no extra cost. Thank you Ebony It was very dusty. The property was being renovated, but that was no excuse not to dust the surfaces before our arrival. Our socks were dirty after our stay. The rugs and mats need hoovered/washed.
The entrance was dishevelled and uninviting. The front garden was overgrown and strewn with random rubbish. The hall staircase carpet was being protected by a very ill-fitting plastic runner that made the staircase precarious to use.
The accommodation had the potential to be something wonderful.
- Vernon (8/5): Very good - Great location for the event I was attending. A pleasant greeting . A good sized well equipped room . Good ensuite shower . Light and airy . Not really anything to dislike , just be aware that the lower floors are currently undergoing refurbishment .
- Mr.adol5 (10/5): Exceptional - The hostess is an exceptional staff. A pleasure to deal with her, she is a very kind person. Thank you so much
- Máté (8/5): Very good - Kind host Bad wi-fi; some machine started beeping somewhere in the house in the middle of the night
- Zoe (8/5): Very good -
- Mcdowell (3/5): The experience fell well below our expectations. - The location was good Many aspects of the experience fell below expectations. The place was generally dirty. There were substantial renovations underway. We had to ask for towels. Milk and coffee were far out of date. The WIFI password provided was incorrect.
- Helen (7/5): A bright and airy loft space in a quiet leafy street, but not very clean - Its a lovely room, bright and airy, quiet, pleasing garden views, and a comfortable bed. I appreciated the bottle of water in the fridge, and the fresh smell of the laundered bedding and towel. Ebony was welcoming and provided her number in case of any issues. The location is excellent, in a quiet street with a great bakery near by and the tube 2 minutes walk away.
Good value. The room needed a thorough clean. Every surface including the floor and the rug was covered in crumbs, hair, nail clippings, thick dust and sticky patches where things had been spilt, and the covers of the bed cushions smelt. The dust irritated my sinuses and in the end I wiped down everywhere with a damp cloth and after that it was a lot better.
The towel rail didn't appear to work so the towel remained wet.
The bed is pushed right under the eaves, I pulled the bed out so I could safely get in and out of bed without braining myself.
- Vaughey (9/5): Just what I wanted, A quiet central location, with a good host. -
- Salma (9/5): Great room in a perfect location - Kind host, amazing location, very spacious and beautiful room. Wasn’t very clean in the room, a bit of dust everywhere, dusty mirrors. Might because of works happening in the house whilst we were there
- Esme (8/5): Quiet and cosy family home close to Tufnell park Tube station - Very close to Tufnell Park Tube station & Aces & Eights bar/venue. Nice views from the high windows, lots of space, access to a kitchen as well as microwave kettle and fridge upstairs. Bed was comfortable. Ironing board/Iron and some clothes storage available as well in the room. Small sofa and modern en suite. Obviously can't be helped but I did accidentally bang my head on the ceiling a few times waking up as I'm not used to it, taller adults will not be able to stand up in the whole area, not a big problem just something to be aware of. I think there's WiFi available but the password didn't seem to work so you may need to ask more questions about it if Wi-Fi is important to you.
- Ioannoy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kjell (8/5): Very good - We are very happy with our stay. The own fridge was a big bonus and the location was perfect. We were well received by the kind host and we got help with everything we needed
- Theodora (8/5): Great value for location - Superb location. Room is very comfortable with heater, fan and black out blinds + its position at the top of the house was peaceful. Exterior of house is welcoming. Only half a roll of toilet roll provided. Also shower was a bit faulty - worked fine at night then wouldn't work in the morning. (But as i understand it has been fixed)
- Tizzard (8/5): Good - Left to ourselves had everything we needed in the room Shower pressure was terrible and temperature all over the place. Also wifi password didn't work
- Charles (8/5): Very good -
- Valeria (8/5): Very good - Good location to roam around Camden town thanks to the metro being so close by. Ebony and her husband were really nice and let some treats for my partner's birthday. Comfy bed ! S Parking. Parking spots are hard to find as is a residential area. You have to find a place around the residencial area and downloading the Just park app.
- Sarah (10/5): Brilliant space - would not hesitate to return - 2 minute walk from the underground & easy to find. Plenty of space and everything you need. Clean and tidy. Friendly host and quiet house / location.
- Alistair (7/5): Met our needs and the location was excellent. Overall good value for money for a short London stay. - Location was excellent for our 3 day visit to London. Great bus service and tube within short walking distance. The attic room was larger and good bathroom with hot shower. There was a kettle, fridge and microwave and we could have used a kitchen downstairs had we wanted. Access was easy at a mutually agree time. No Wifi but good phone signal. Slanting roof by the bed potentially a problem for tall people!
- Mo (8/5): Very good - Clean and in a very good location, very much recommend.
- Shawn (1/5): Bad -
- Lara (9/5): Nice stay, I would recommend to other travellers looking for a good value in London. - Ebony was very receptive, and the place was as expected. Super close to Tufnell Park station so very easy to get to and travel around London. Even though the room is in a bigger house, we did not have any trouble with privacy as it is located on the top floor and has its own lockable door. In general, it was very tidy and clean. The shower could use some improvement, sometimes the temperature changed while showering. There is a kitchen downstairs that we could use, but it is quite small and has limited equipment/utensils. Not a problem if you do not plan to cook much.
- Ian (9/5): Superb - Superb location near the Tube. Very friendly and helpful host. Previous reviews have mentioned the poor wi-fi - I had no issues and attended Zoom meetings over both nights and worked online, neither with any issues.
- Kevin (9/5): Superb - Excellent location and nice and clean...what more do you need!
- Mike (7/5): Good value - Good value
Friendly host
Decent size room
Near tube Could have used a little more cleaning but not terrible generally cleanish
With a bit more attention to detail a good value stay could have been excellent
- Steve (9/5): Superb - A quiet, clean top floor location that was perfect for my extended stay in London. I loved every minute of my stay there. Thank you for providing a space that was affordable and close to everything. And thank you for respecting my privacy. All the best, Steve.
- Romane (9/5): Superb - Great place, clean and suitable for a few days! Very nice and very accessible host!
- Sandra (10/5): 1000/10! incredible stay and best neighbourhood! - Absolutely in love with the place! Would absolutely recommend to anyone, spacious and clean and so well located, hopefully we’ll be coming back! Nothing
- Tania (8/5): Very good -
- Giovanni (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lee (8/5): Clean and Comfortable! - Good location, 2 mins walk from Tufnell Park underground station. Very spacious and clean room. The bed was comfortable. It was a warm weekend luckily there was a fan in the room. It had around 4 flights of narrow stairs so unsuitable for someone with mobility issues. The shower went cold after a while.
- Ro (9/5): Comfortable loft in London. - Great loft area with skylights.
Fan, fridge and microwave all available.
We got there later than expected but hosts were gracious to let us in. Weak WiFi.
Almost 5 flights of narrow stairs to go up with bags.
Shower went cold at times suddenly, they said they would address it.
- Sofi.d95 (7/5): Nice stay - The room with private bathroom is located at the top of the host's house. Easy to reach (2 mins walk from the underground). The host was very nice and also offered us some wine. The cleaning of the room and bathroom was ok, could probably be better. Couldn't find any hairdryer to use but we didn't ask for it so probably the host would give you one if needed.
- Nicole (10/5): You book at room and get a home! - Ebony is just lovely! She made my stay to lovely with all the little chats and she even gave me recommandation what to see and do. I absolutely loved staying here. hope to stay again in the future! very spacious room with Microwave, kettle fridge, a big bathroom, extra mirrors and a desk with 2 chairs and a sofa. there's also a heater for those who are cold easily.
Be prepared to take a narrow staircase with some stairs if you have heavy luggage. But Ebony is a real sweetheart and was offering her help. Because you can use the kitchen, you don't have to worry about breakfast, lunch or dinner. The wifi connection is not the best unfortunatly. I found it the best in the bathroom. Maybe a repeater in the hallway would improve that! The matress is rather hard but that's to personal taste.
- Declan (8/5): Very good -
- Amanda (8/5): Friendly and clean family-run homestay, in a good location in North London - Great location, literally around the corner from Tufnell Park Station. We were met by our friendly landlady, who lives in the same house, and could deposit our luggage easily as we arrived quite early. The house itself is a tad dated esp the common areas so be prepared, but the room itself, and bathroom, are very clean, modern, spacious and well-furnished. (Useful to note that this is a family-run homestay and not a serviced apartment or aparthotel, and thus has to be viewed more like a BnB, As this is a loft, we also had to climb a few flights of stairs but this was to be expected.) As it was winter and we preferred stronger heating, Ebony was also kind enough to add a little heating blower to the room, which worked wonderfully. Bed was firm and pillows were fluffy! WiFi strength can be improved, as the room is on the fourth floor and the router is on the ground floor. (Can consider adding a second router or a signal repeater on the upper floors maybe.) That's about all, really. We had a good stay!
- Ludmila (1/5): Bad - Location We have choosen this place due to great location & 8.8 rating and pictures. Nice pictures should mean decent place/ house as a whole. Uppon arrival, we were shocked by the dirt and mess in the front garden, whole house seemed really neglected. Landord was friendly lady, who took us to our room which was located at the top floor. She was shoe & sockless and walked into our room this way, which we found unhygienic. Only top two floors were refurbished; the rest of the house was neglected, seemed very dirty. It was impossible to ingore this part of the house because we had to pass trought it to get to our room (min 3-4 floors). After this experience, it was hard to believe that our room was properly clean so we went to buy some cleaning stuff. But the impression was so bad that we could not stay there anyway and the same night we booked rather proper hotel and traveled to the other side of London. We knew that "what you see is what you get". It was bad, exhusting, time consuming and too expensive experience. Some picures that we were able to make are attached
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly landlord, cost-effective.
