Weather was perfect so we were out - Loved the location & original surf shack cottage with cute coloured glass windows Super easy stroll into the heart of Pottsville & down to the Beach Beds were comfortable host was quick to respond to texts to arrange a very easy check in to the property Weather was perfect fortunately so we were out most of the day Leaking bathroom tap Bathroom didn’t have any ventilation so quite stinky Kitchen could do with a revamp - pretty low on basic cooking equipment & no coffee making facilities, kitchen chair covers are stained & dirty House could do with some TLC - such as bedside reading lamps, fix knobs for ceiling fans, fix leaking bathroom tap, buy a plunger/ stove pot coffee maker, a few more cooking pots

The house is older and well maintained with cute older style bathroom & kitchen. Bathroom badly wants an extractor fan or opening window. Somewhere to hang wet swiming gear and towels would be great.

Owner was lovely and helpful- we arrived in horrendous rain and she was very kind and welcoming with great food recommendations- eat at the Japanese restaurant, Thai and black drop cafe ❤️❤️❤️ This place would be perfect for a family to stay The claw foot bath was inaccessible for my elderly parents but we were only there for one night. A small footstool to assist in getting in and out might be handy.

• Kylie (10/5): Loved the hosts, the beds and the beautiful claw bath tub. - It is close to town, had everything we needed. It is a lovely old home with modern luxuries. Maybe a face cloth for the bathroom would have been nice.

• Kerry (7/5): APART FROM EVERYTHING WE ENJOYED OUR STAY VERY AFFORDABLE AND COMFY - LOVED THE OLD HOUSE CLOSE TO EVERYTHING.AC SUPER COLD, UNIVTED GUEST IN CEILING, PARTYING ALL HOURS. WE HAD AN ASD CHILD THAT LOVES TO WONDER OFF AND AS A FEW WINDOWS DIDN'T LOCK WE WOKE UP ONE MORNING TO FIND HIM GONE LUCKILY THE POLICE HAD HIM AT THE CARAVAN PARK A JOGGER FOUND HIM ABOUT 2 KLMS OUT THE ROAD TO BLACK ROCK ON A MOBILITY SCOOTER HE HAD TAKEN FROM THE CARAVAN PARK.( HE HAS A THING FOR ELECTRIC BIKES ETC AND NEVER STOPS THINKING ABOUT THEM) POTTSVILLE COULD DO WITH A DECENT TAKEAWAY.

• Lara (4/5): Great location; but the accomodation definitely could do with some work on its odour and comfort. - I’ve rated this fairly for the benefits it brings, like its location, and general charm. However… while it’s fine that the house is “period”. The furniture could certainly do with updating for comfort purposes. The beds particularly probably need replacing, but mostly the smell of the property was unbearable we had to sit outside. No amount of room spray and airing it out could improve it.
• Raelene (8/5): Very good - Jayme was an amazing host - we had a sudden turn of cool weather and he dropped in extra blankets and a heater for us - much appreciated Great location handy to the shops etc The Step up into the claw foot bath was a little tricky for my elderly mum maybe some handrails would help but otherwise very happy

• Karelle (10/5): Brilliant place to stay, great communication, wonderful little cottage- 10/10 - Great location, terrific space with loads of character and easy to find and park. Byron half hour away and the little shops at pottsville are great. Wonderful hosts!! No ceiling fans in the bedrooms apart from the main. There is AC however so not the end of the world but tough when it’s muggy. That’s the only thing I can fault!
• Cath (5/5): It was just okay for brief work stay - The location is central. Very noisy with road noise from very early in the morning. No outdoor seating area so one of us sat on front door step, the other a chair in a bedroom. Really there is so nowhere to relax and chat.

• Erin (10/5): Holiday hideaway - It was perfect! The home is one of the first 5 built in Pottsville and just gorgeous. Location was amazing we never drove anywhere, and it had everything we needed. The beds were comfy the bath tub was cute and aircon cold. The family loved their stay.

A lot bigger than I thought! Location is w as lmk g distance to everything. I’m not a fussy person neither are my friends and family we all loved it zero complaints.

• Tamara (7/5): okay - location not enough toilet paper for 4 women for 2 nights. wood falling off near the toilet door. no curtin on kitchen window no air flow in the bathroom. needed to buy air freshener

• Alisia (10/5): Great central home with character - The house is cosy, beds are comfy and aircon nice and cold on the hot days. There was no microwave, we were travelling with a baby, so made heating bottles tricky, but we made do.
