Chooi Wan (1/5): Bad experience with the host! - Spacious. Didn’t have good experiences with this property owner! The host, Maria, asked for 30% of the total payment via bank transfer after confirming booking which was fine but didn’t ask for final payment until one day before we were checking in and has asked us to pay cash upon check in which we didn’t have that much of cash, we would pay via bank transfer like before but she threatened not to let us in the apartment if she didn’t see the money in her account! This host did not honour her promise to provide a tax invoice. Despite multiple times of messages to her, she kept delaying it then there’s no response at all! Beware if you are travelling there for work and need a tax invoice to claim your lodging, do not book this place! Moreover the apartment is not as good as it looks on the pictures. The front door is tricky to open, it’s bad if there’s emergency you need to get out of the house!
