• Sarah (6/5): Prima voor de prijs die je betaald met een grote groep, maar het appartement kan een opknapbeurt gebruiken. - Goede locatie, midden in het centrum van Gent. Fijn dat je een pakketje krijgt met schoonmaakmiddelen, theedoek etc. Op veel plekken in het appartement zat schimmel (slaapkamer, badkamer). De matrassen waren doorgezakt. Er was weinig servies en allemaal verschillende glazen etc.
• Nathan (5/5): - The location was perfect. Close to all the sites, shops and restaurants. The accommodation was a bit run down. It could definitely use a bit of a renovation. One of the sinks in the bathroom was leaking on the floor and the apartment had a bit of a sewer smell. We had to keep the windows open. When we brought this to the attention of Huswell they said they would send someone over but no one ever came. When we checked out they said they would refund 15% of the costs for the rental to compensate for the issues but they never followed up. After repeated attempts to get the reimbursement I realized they were just delaying and were never going to refund the money. Great location but not worth the money.

• Yassine (4/5): Apartment not maintained properly - Location is really nice. Quiet area, easy to collect the keys. Beds are fine. The bathroom was smelly, the lights were not working, the walls were moldy... There was a couch in the living room, but it wasn't clean (above or under) and some slats were broken so we couldn't use it properly. We used some of the cutlery provided and we wanted to wash them but there was no towel to dry them. Also the property managers have set up a welcome package, with some dishwasher tabs but there is no dishwasher in this apartment.

• Mobin (7/5): Great for a friend weekend, would recommend more luxury for a family weekend - The location was amazing, neighbours were also lovely. We had no nose issues whatsoever & the house had the seating arrangements that allowed us to relax at the house often. There’s also a river with benches right next to the house, which was a perfect spot to relax in the afternoon The bathroom has no ventilation / windows you can open, so you’d have to leave the bathroom door open to let it air after a toilet visit / shower visit. The plates were dirty and there was no detergent either, so we had to buy this in order to eat at the house. The fire alarm also went off when we were cooking steak even though the stove fan was on at full speed & all the windows were open as well. The neighbour however helped us with this
• Jonneke (7/5): Good - The location is amazing! In walking distance of everything that Ghent has to offer. The shower needs to be better ventilated. The damp is causing some issues with cleanliness.
• Joe (5/5): Okay but some issues detracted from our experience and not for older people - Location good for tourists visiting the historic center of Ghent. Very close to the castle. Lots of room. The apartment could accommodate up to seven persons with a couch that converts to a bed in the kitchen/living room, a double bed in the "master" bedroom and two double beds in the other bedroom. We were a party of three, so we had more space than we needed. Apartment was very cold when we arrived because someone left both a regular window and a ceiling window over the stairs open, the latter of which was almost impossible to close, and the thermostat was set very low. We finally jerry-rigged a coat rack to reach up to close the window above the stairs. There should be a tool obviously in sight available to do that. The open windows allowed mosquitoes into the house which was annoying. We came late after dark after an international flight from the USA and suffering jet jag we didn't figure out where the thermostat was or how the heating system worked until the next day, so we were quite cold the first night with lows outside that night in March around 35 Fahrenheit (2 Celsius). There should be instructions about that. We didn't realize the number of steps/stairs to and in the apartment. We were traveling with an 88 year old who climbs stairs okay but with some difficulty, and given the risk of a fall at night (she had to go down two steps to get to the bathroom/toilet at night) we would have booked a different place if we had known this. The contact person was an AI bot, so there was no one to discuss our issues with. My wife thought the bed was we used was lumpy, though I found it fine. After the first night things were okay, though the first night was rough in a cold house with a thermostat set too low for comfort. There was some mold in the shower area.
