Guest Reviews
- Kathryn (9/5): For the love of God - stop the car and Stay here! - A very quiet location with all the amenities of a home - and it did feel like home! Loved the Masonry Wood Stove and the lovely low bright windows and patio doors. The home had great character and fascinating art and laminated posters of wineries from around the globe. A great CD collection and sound system. Tho we did not use the jacuzzi tub it did look great. Perfect shower and main bath. Lots of birds in the yard too. The home is an amazing place to just chill. Proximity to the Gaspereau Valley and the shops and Saturday market in Wolfville and hiking on the dikes added to the Magic! Kitchen was a tad dark in the evenings.
- Cynthia (9/5): A lovely place to stay with an excellent host. - It's an interesting house on Acadian foundations and is beautifully furnished. The outside seating is well placed to catch the sun. Indoors was comfortably warm (in October). We especially appreciated the host bringing a propane keg for the barbecue on one hour's notice so that we could hold a family barbecue later in the day. We also were grateful for the suggestion to visit the Uffing gardens. It was lovely to be able to buy the farm's own vegetables and fruit at the farm stand close by. The bedrooms are open plan, looking down on the foyer. While this is beautiful visually, it means that sound carries between the bedrooms and from the foyer. Ear plugs were necessary as one of us had a cough. I was frightened when I received a request from one host for payment of the total amount via the website one day after I had already paid the other host in full in cash. Luckily, the new request was an error that was rectified within two minutes.

- Ieuan (10/5): Great stay at large family home in the wine region of Nova Scotia! - This home had a lot of character and was great for accomodating a family. John was very friendly and gave us great advice on where to go in the area. The surrounding grounds were tranquil and just a short drive by car to Wolfvile. Perfect accomodation.
- Beverly (10/5): Quiet and quaint in the Anapolis Valley - The farmhouse is quiet, with every amenity that is required for a comfortable stay.

- Piercey (10/5): We had a super time - a great adult family getaway! John and Sunny were the best, we felt taken care of at all times and - Lots of space, super location, surrounded by nature, very chill atmosphere, and you’re on a farm!
- Dawn (8/5): Overall, we enjoyed our stay, found the house a good base for exploring Wolfville & Grand Pre area. - Quiet country location, enjoyed hummingbirds, chipmunks and squirrels. Front yard is dominated by a stunning old weeping willow, absolutely gorgeous. Kitchen well supplied with necessities. House had loads of books & interesting decor collected from owner's travels. John's friendly dog Sunny was a nice greeter. John had lots of suggestions for places to visit. The open concept bedrooms are a bit different, didn't mind them for myself but would hesitate to recommend loft-like upstairs rooms with an open sided area for families with younger children, could see lively ones swinging over rails! Wildfire smoke was an issue on a few days, but obviously not one our hosts could control.
- Christina (10/5): The rustic farm house has lots of character! - We loved our house John and his dog Sunny! They were super welcoming, and gave lovely suggestions for activities to do in the area.
- Linda (9/5): A unique location with a great host! - We had full access to a spaciou home which was very comfortable and had all the needed amenities. The host went out of his way to share information on the area, and assist us when we had a tire issue. The home was close to wineries and a short drive to Wolfville. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! No complaints
- Ashley (8/5): Very good - So much room!
Garden was beautiful!
Friendly owners! The water didn't taste the greatest.
- Alison (10/5): A beautiful farm home to relax and enjoy. - The home is farmhouse surrounded by gardens and farmland.. a beautiful setting to enjoy and relax. The home is great for sharing with family or friends, with comfortable beds, many spaces to gather or have alone time and views of the surrounding land. The owner John (and dog Sunny) is a gem. Hospitable and knowledgeable about the area, with many a great story to share. Location is great from the airport and to get around the area. Enjoyed our stay immensely. Not much
- Faireil (9/5): Spacious, rustic, comfortable, superior location. - Beautiful location. Lots of areas for a group to have their own 'space' if needed. Two dining areas, 3 sitting areas, piano. Nice patio with a gorgeous sunset view. Spacious updated bathroom on main floor.
- Susan (10/5): Amazing spot run by amazing people! - Loved our 3 day stay here. It was a perfect resting place for my daughter and I during her Championship swim meet at Acadia. The house was so warm, comfy and cozy! The place is huge!!
The hospitality was superb, with John helping us out with anything we needed - with a big smile and encouraging words for my swimmer. 😃 Hopefully we'll see more meets at Acadia in the future so we can book here again! 🤞
- Candace (9/5): Peaceful country living - Lots of room for 5 of us plus family that visited for a few hours (11 people total and didn't feel crowded at all), house was very nice with lots of character. Hosts were very accommodating with our dogs. Well appointed and quiet area. Seems like there is alot to do in the area and it is close to shopping and restaurants but still rural and peaceful. Loved the decor and furnishings. Small issue with plumbing that we notified the owners about. They responded quickly (for next guests as we only stayed one night). Older home, so had a damp and musty smell, which is hard if you have sensitivities, like I do, but the rest of my family didn't notice it much.
- Emily (9/5): Superb - Nice rustic property, beautiful scenery. Spacious! Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds.
