Guest Reviews
- Amanda (8/5): Beautiful spot to enjoy all the good things. Thanks - Location. Nature.
- Christine (10/5): Loved my stay & the owners were super kind and checked in daily. - Beautiful views, quiet and cosy.
- Bill (10/5): Good rural accommondation - The location is stunning with views in all directions, great sunrise and sunset. It's a rustic converted horse stable but well set up, warm at night. Good walks on the property. The owner is very friendly: good chats about history of the property converting grazing to seed nursery.

- Violetleaf881 (10/5): Charming little house - The scenery was lovely.
The little house was charming and full of character.
It had everything you needed, and if anything was missing, the hosts were nearby and very helpful.
Fire pit, undercover verandah with outdoor seating, pool close by in the hosts yard. The beds were very comfortable. Fabs for summer and wood and gas heater for winter.
The pub in the village was close by.

- Joanne (10/5): Great quirky place to stay - Very quaint cabin. Great fire pit. Everything we needed for our week long stay. Comfortable beds There was nothing to dislike
- Philip (8/5): A beautiful place - We stayed just one night and really enjoyed th
e inventive decoration of the accommodation, the provision of plenty of the kind of things you need when holidaying in a place like this, the wood stove, the beautiful countryside and setting, the friendly and helpful approach of the people on the property. The cottage could be a bit cleaner and the bathroom could do with a blind.

- Fiona (1/5): Never again. - Absolutely nothing. The property wasn't as advertised. There was major safety concerns especially regarding dead bolt slide along locks on the outer of the bedroom doors. The owner has a "man cave" which is attached to the tiny house which was being used frequently so no privacy at all. Didn't stay, left for safety reasons and re booked else where. Was definitely not the anniversary night away we had planned :(

- Karen (10/5): Fantastic country cottage - Lovely location, comfortable cottage with everything you need. Host was welcoming and helpful. We loved our stay.
- Amie (9/5): Perfect way to relax!! - Everything was amazing!! Perfect way to relax!
- David (8/5): Made to feel welcomed in this little house in a peaceful countryside setting. - Peaceful quiet setting in the country. Best sleep for years.
Excellent wifi.
Kitchen well provisioned. Bread and butter…provided. TV lacks remote control. Helpful if you can cast from your device to the TV, or bring Firestick with you.
- Carl (8/5): We enjoyed the quirky mess and ambience immensely. Would do it again if the opportunity presented itself. - Rustic charm with quirky ambience and great position. Great spot. A curtain on the shower door would have been nice and a proper wood splitter for the firewood for us oldies.
- Terry (9/5): Lovely owners and great property. - Quiet and the owners were very accommodating.
- Paul (10/5): Perfect for us, our son and the two doggos - We loved the reclaimed features of the house. The beds were comfortable, the wood heater inside very effective, and the outdoor fire pit - magnificent. We took walks all over, the dogs loved every minute too.
- David (9/5): Superb - We had a very enjoyable stay. George and Janie are wonderful hosts and very hospitable. Thanks again.
- Janelle (2/5): Disappointing. - From the property description, photos and reviews, we were really looking forward to this stay as a highlight of our roadtrip. We arrived about 1/2 hr later than our expected arrival time and tried to ring and messaged to let the owner know we would be late. Unfortunately no one was there to meet us. While we were expecting rustic, from the price, photos and reviews we were expecting clean and well kept. This was not the case with being dusty, large spiders and webs and overgrown. While the inside may have been pleasant, from what we could see we were not comfortable staying such that we chose to forfeit our paid in full nonrefundable payment and make other accommodation arrangements. The owner did contact us later, by which time we had moved on.
- Amanda (7/5): Good for a country experience. - It’s set on a farm with a lovely outlook. The property has a nice, country feel. The owner is lovely. Fresh bread was provided. It’s a nice place for a weekend stay. It’s close to the local pub, and 45 minutes from Tamworth. The dirt road to get in was very bumpy so it’s not great for small cars. Bugs get in under the door (mostly beetles). Spray is provided. While the bathroom has a lovely view of the area, a curtain across the door/window would be a good option for added privacy (especially if family is staying).
- Danielle (10/5): Stars in the sky - The peace and quietness were amazing.
You could really unwind and enjoy the wildlife in the mornings and a sky full of stars at night.
The drive to Tamworth was roughly 30 minutes, which we enjoyed. There wasn't anything we didn't like.
- Raymie (10/5): 💯 satisfied, would recommend to anyone - Very well maintained property, if you love the country look no further! Owner is very nice and easy going, beautiful location with beautiful sunsets and local pub do a good feed, will definitely return for another holiday
- Logan (10/5): Absolutely outstanding - hidden gem that we will return to enjoy - There was ample household kitchen supplies in cubboard, eggs and butter.
Fans in each bedroom- walk out bathroom amazingly located for views of the mountains.
Bbq available outside in private little verandah with hammock :) absolutely amazing.
Great activities around if you look :) Nothing.
- Fryar (10/5): Wonderful place for a few nights to unwind and chill - Peaceful and relaxing !
- Sylvia (10/5): Beautiful little retreat - Beautifully refurbished and comfortable stables in a fabulous rural location. Having to leave!!
- Karen (10/5): Great place to catch up with friends - Such a pretty part of the world! So relaxing
Fire pit was great
Pub close by for dinner
- Cathy (7/5): Good - Very peaceful, high on the hill . First time staying at something like this .
The cabin is very rustic and sitting on top of a hill with views of the surrounding township .
, Both double beds were comfortable and the shower had hot water .. Plenty of grass land for children to run and explore ..
- Fahey (8/5): Very good -
- Lulu (10/5): Exceptional - Everything the hosts wher the most welcoming and hospitable people ever That it was time to leave and say goodbye
- Lemass (10/5): Exceptional - Euphoric harmony in nature abounds at the Little House, and George is the ultimate bucolic host.
- Adam (10/5): A peaceful little getaway in paradise. - Delightfully quirky and beautiful!
- Zoe (10/5): - A beautiful home away from home, George couldn’t have been more accomodating and friendly, we felt ever so welcome and our city Kelpie X dog was where he should have always been bought up, in his element.
The pub does a great meal and whilst in the beautiful country, there is so much nearby, great food, lovely country shops and many things to see.
This is where we will go when we need to step back from it all and be reminded about what’s important.
Thank you George, we will be back and really found such beauty in your little house and Joby’s hill and grounds ❤️
- Joanna (8/5): Very good -
- Adele (10/5): Pure bliss, 100% natural. - Everything from the welcoming hosts, the 360* rolling hill views, ancient trees, roaming Guinea fowls, waggy tailed friendly dog, amazing bird life, gorgeous, hugging little house with amazing views from every window, great little kitchen, comfy beds, outside fire pit under a galaxy of stars, refreshing dips in the pool, long walks by the creek. We had to leave this beautifully grounded, relaxed space and place.
- Jesper (9/5): A great Australian experience! - The location was great, very authentic, rustic Australian accomodation. The environment was lovely and we got to experience Australian wildlife just around the corner. George was a lovely host that made us feel very welcome. Overall a great experience! When you typed in the address in Google maps it didn’t take you all the way, but it was easy to call George to find out.
- Sarah (10/5): Cosy, comfortable with an artistic flair and hints of adventure inviting a longer stay. - Fantastic environment within a working farm in a beautiful historic location. George with his family have created a wonderful place to stay. Handcrafted homestay, fire, books, art, sustainable gardening, regenerative agriculture, Minxo the dog, Mavis and Maude the guinea fowl, whispering trees...what more can you ask for?
