Guest Reviews
- Helen (10/5): Great location, clean & everything your needed. Also loved that they used some low toxic products handwash, bathroom - The Banksia cottage was close to Leura village, cafe’s & restaurants.
Peacefully & quiet.
Cottage had everything you needed. I couldn’t fault anything about the property.
- vera (8/5): A lovely cottage close to Leura village - A nice quiet location. Lovely house The shower system needs an adjustment: it is very hard to regulate hot water.
- Laura (9/5): Percfect for our family weekend away - Very nice little cottage
Comfortable and clean
Loved the toys and playground for my son to enjoy
- Anna (9/5): Romantische plek in mooie omgeving. - De ligging is geweldig. Omgeven door bomen en planten maar ook dichtbij Leura en Katoomba. Niets.
- Campos-Donohoe (8/5): A cute, cozy, quiet get away that’s well worth the money. Will definitley be returning - Loved the location, still in a residential area though it was still quiet and felt secluded. The place itself was also lovely, clean and cozy Not the end of the world but maybe having just a small carton of milk or something to have a cup of tea at home after a long day of driving to get to the cottage.
- Kerry (10/5): We had the most amazing break with our little dog and kids, thank you for such a wonderful stay! - Amazing little cottage, beautifully furnished, the comfiest beds and pillows and everything you need for a lovely break away.
- Rosalie (10/5): You won't be disappointed - The photos are a true representation of the cottage.
It was cosy, well equipped and in a lovely setting That we didn't book to stay longer
- Elly (9/5): Superb -
- Emily (10/5): A perfect, cosy retreat for a young family. It has everything you need! Will definitely be back. - A beautiful, functional, comfortable space. Cosy without being cramped. The outdoor spaces are an added bonus
- Rebecca (9/5): Wonderful, beautiful, fantastic stay. Thank you and our little dogs loved it too - Location and nice touch to all extras in the kitchen and bathroom. Well stocked with extra blankets. Was worried about going to close to edge when parking and entering and exiting driveway was hard as my car scraped badly. Needs to be filled in with gravel and compacted at the least. Front door key was hard to turn but finally got hang of it to pull or push door to let the lock turn.
- Soraya (8/5): Overall lovely family stay - Lovely location, very cosy home and very family friendly, with lots of toys for young children. Features a well equipped kitchen and well-decorated rooms. Overall, it was clean, but there were some corners that had been missed, eg, the floor under the second bedroom was extremely dirty. Also, my 2 year old son dug up a live snake in the kids sand pit whilst playing. I contacted the owner immediately, but he never got back to me about it, which I found very disappointing. It is a bush setting, so be extremely mindful when going to the garden, especially with children.
- Crystfallz (9/5): Superb -
- Macdonald (9/5): The hosts were accomodating and really helpful, as we only booked the afternoon of check in they called and confirmed al -
- John (8/5): Very comfortable and relaxing -
- Rebecca (9/5): Perfect cottage for a mountain getaway - Great cottage that is cosy and beautifully presented. Kids loved the playground, toys and board games. I enjoyed the lovely deep bathtub. All enjoyed the outdoor deck. Would definitely stay again. A great choice for families with young children, a couple or two couples. Car parking is very tight when guests are staying in the cabin on the same property. The cottage overlooks a cabin from the living area which is less of an issue for the cottage and more so the cabin if the curtains aren't closed. A BBQ would be a nice addition to the outdoor area.

- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - Location was incredible, the house was beautifully finished with plenty of blankets and heaters to keep us warm. The hosts were great with their communication, sending us a local information / suggestion pack, and checked in to make sure we were ok. We could not have asked for a better stay and will hopefully be back soon! The only little thing is that parking signage could have been clearer, we arrived in the dark so it was a little tricky to see. Otherwise absolutely perfect.
- Dr (7/5): Good - The location was good overall. The cabin itself was nice. The kitchen might want some upgrade. The fireplace didn't work, which was a huge disappointment 😕
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Dow (10/5): Looked just like photos - loved fire at night -
- Janelle (8/5): Relaxing time - Quiet location, cosy lounge area , nice bedrooms Bit pricey for what it was
- Alan (10/5): We had a wonderful four days in Banksia Cottage It was so quiet and peaceful. Thank You. -
- Greg (8/5): Comfy and peaceful place to relax - Gas fire was nice and warming. Had all the facilities of a standard home close to facilities such as restaurants, attractions and entertainment. Comfy beds. Dishwasher worked well. Not suitable for seniors with steep steps and no handrail. Alternate access was bumpy driveway. Door difficult to work lock. Could not get grill to work. Torch provided but new batteries would help
