• Halo khan (1/5): Avoid this place, its totally scam, - This is scam, read my review to avoid being scammed I have been scammed by the property owner. In the pictures, the place looks bright with large windows, a clean bed, and everything neat and tidy. The description also clearly stated it was an apartment, not a basement. After my reservation, just one day before my arrival, the owner sent me instructions on how to access the apartment. The message said: “Once you enter the building, take the stairs up, then go right — the apartment door is at the end.” However, when I arrived and followed these directions, I couldn’t find any apartment. I contacted the owner on WhatsApp, and he replied, “Oh, sorry, it’s in the basement.” When I went down to the basement, it was extremely dirty and smelled terrible — like opening the door to a garbage room. I immediately left, realizing I had been scammed. I was also afraid for my safety, as scammers can be dangerous. Please see the attached screenshots for proof.

• Tamara (8/5): - Die Lage ist Top und das Apartment super ausgestattet. Das Apartment selbst ist top, der Weg dahin eher nicht so. Muffiger Keller-/Kanalgeruch. Das Apartment war so gepflegt und sauber, der Garten bzw. die Terrasse wurde aber leider komplett vernachlässigt und wirkt richtig verwahrlost.
• Eric (6/5): Hard review to write because inside and outside are so different. - Just the hardest review I've ever written. The inside room is spotless up-to-date and a very high quality in most things. I stayed here twice during this trip coming into Athens and leaving athens. The door knob fell off the bathroom door. The shower is supposed to have two glass doors that meet and close. The shower only had one of these doors. One other frustrating thing was that the soap dispenser was completely empty in the bathroom and shower. Not knowing this and trying to take a shower was a problem. I don't carry soap anymore with airport restrictions. The room was brand new and gorgeous. I don't think the room was properly advertised. It lists a terrace outside the back door with beautiful photos. In fact the pictures show 1/3 of the outside Terrace area. The other 2/3 is not in the pictures and are overgrown with weeds belonging to other people-units and it's not really a private protected secure Terrace. You fluid smoke here but i don't smoke. Secondly this is a basement apartment and that is really not made clear in the advertising. You enter at street level and then go down to the basement. It is dark and my travel partner was disconcerted with the cleanliness in the hallway in the basement. There was also significant trash in the basement hallway. Less than a foot from the front door is a hole in the floor covered by a piece of thick concrete. You can trip right over it and she did. The front door appearance is scary to say at least. But the inside apartment is the exact opposite of the exterior. See the photos for a picture of the front door and the Terrace that I took.

• Daniella (4/5): Disappointing, we won’t book here again. - The location of this property is excellent. The washing machine is also great. We loved our visit to Athens but we absolutely dreaded going back to the apartment because of the horrendous smell. The apartment is located at the basement level and there is a very strong sewerage smell throughout that level and in the entry to the apartment. Tradesperson showed up without us being notified, while he was polite it would have been nice to have been given the heads up by the owners. By the end of the third day here that was all we could smell. It completely ruined the accommodation and I was extremely disappointed to read this has been an ongoing issue within this apartment. The owner should remove the property from the booking listing until it has been rectified. The shower door was missing, the door handle to the bathroom was also broken and the general cleanliness was lacking.
• Kirsten (1/5): Please don’t stay here, it’s NOT SAFE! - Someone tried to break into my apartment at night while I was sleeping. To be able to access the property the person would have needed a key to access the front door to the apartment building and also a key to the apartment. I was safe because of the deadlock only. I had to go to the police - a report has been lodged and police have investigated the property. I suspect the property owner may be involved, as they have been completely unhelpful and asking me to contact them off the booking.com platform. I had to find alternative accommodation for my safety, and therefore could not fulfil the duration of my stay. I have asked for a refund at the very least, but the owner has so far denied payment and has not helped whatsoever. Additionally, the apartment smells like something dead in the hallway (possibly from the adjacent apartment or the basement somewhere near), and the smell is permeating into the apartment. The police held their noses entering the building. The apartment is not clean, the shower is missing a screen and there is mould throughout the shower base - it simply hasn’t been cleaned for a long time. Stay safe out there, and don’t stay here!
• Sabina (7/5): Good - Fantastic location. The street is full of nice pubs and restaurants. A cafe right at the exit, the Acropolis metro station, on the other side of the street and about 5 minutes on foot to the Acropolis. The location is really impressive. The apartment itself is clean and well prepared for my stay. Quite large, spacious, has a beautiful garden. The owner provides all the necessary equipment and is in excellent contact with him. However, the apartment is located in the basement. Unfortunately, as soon as you go downstairs, the stench of sewage and mustiness is unbearable. I entered with a deep breath :) There are moments when this unbearable smell penetrates the interior. In the corridor under the door there were several dead cockroaches. Over the course of 5 days I killed two in the apartment. So you have to count on their presence...

• Agata (8/5): Localization great. And that's it - Great localization. 2 minutes to metro station Acropolis. 3 minutes to Plaka. Great flat. The near surrounding of flat is not nice. The building staircase. When entering the flat, IT is awful.and smelly. IT is like the pipes are the problem
• Jessica (2/5): Great location, but smells like sewage and cleaning service and customer care non-existing. - Geographic location was great, I give them that.. The appartment was located in the basement, which more looked like a forgotten area, with dead potted plants and a busted door propped against wall. Smelled like sewage which was explained with that I had to air it… on arrival the place was filthy with the previous guest’s hairs, smudges, potato chips (!!) and used shampoo sachets still left on the floors and in the shower. When issues raised with the host, they said they would send their cleaner again. Much later I arrived home the smell was indeed gone, because the patio door was left open. Thank god I brought my valuables with me when I headed out.. Also, all the grime and dirt was still left, so obviously no cleaning had been made. When I told the host, they said their cleaners say it’s been handled and they chose to believe them. No compensation. Great customer service, right? The next day I arrive back in the afternoon and it’s obvious no cleaning has been done, again, and I contact my host. They completely ignore my complaints, until I let them know a complaint will be filed with Booking.com and I will be writing an honest review of my experience. This finally sparks some interest from them, and on a phone call I am offered 50% off while letting me know that although it’s within my full rights to file a review, they beg me not to. They then arrive to clean the room while I am there, which is a surreal experience involving the cleaning lady doing casual sweeps with baby wipes (?!) on 10% of the floor space while the manager is in a corner, shocked at what is transpiring, apologizing to me meanwhile. The cleaner then ask me “is it ok now?” and I have to go and point to each hair, shoe print, potato chip STILL on the floor - and very visible too - upon which the manager loses it and sends her out. Anyone can have bad luck with employees, and anyone can make a mistake. As long as you try and rectify it. Did I ever get my refund? Compensated in any way, aside from the cleaning finally happening? Nope.
• Pavlina (7/5): Good overall but needs more attention - The location is amazing, very close to Acropolis, lots of nice places to eat in the area, 2 min to metro. Perfect. The apartment is spacious and tastefully furnished. Bed was super comfortable. The shower was missing a door. Also, the light switches and bathroom door looked like they haven't been cleaned in a while.
• Bruckner (9/5): great accomodation, great location, modest price and very helpful owners - The location was incredible for the price, very central just a few minutes from Akropolis - yet it was very quiet in the flat all the time. The furniture provided everything needed on a very elevated standard. The private garden was lovely and really big. AND A VERY BIG PLUS: I came a couple hours earlier to Athen than the regular Check-In-time, but the owners offered me to bring my lugage in right away without hesitation! the hot water in the shower was still relatively cold for my sense (to be fair, I had the same issues with the last AirBnb I was in - maybe I am just used to a different standard)
• Diane (7/5): Good - Great location. Good value. Apartment was exactly what I needed for just a couple of nights in Athens. Had a difficult time checking in - Was given two different codes by the property to retrieve the keys - only 1 worked. Check instructions were very unclear and resulted in me trying several wrong doors (including one of an apartment that was occupied and I got yelled at by a very angry man). All this could be avoided if they simply specify which floor the apartment is on, and mark the correct apartment with some sort of sign. Messaged the property regarding my check in issues and received NO response. Floor was a little dirty.
• Santtuu (8/5): Okay but intense drainage smell - Apartment is quite lately renovated. No street noise can be heard, but some hallway noise can. It had basic kitchen utensils, frying pan, pot, plates, cups etc. Washing machine with a dryer function was great. Location is central, close to attractions, restaurants, metro and AB supermarket. Easy check-in with safe lock. Manager(owner?) was helpful and fullfilled our requests quickly. Intense drainage smell in the bathroom and kitchen area. A bit dirty and sandy floor. Shower was missing the other sliding door so bathroom floor got a bit wet. At first, there were no handsoap, not enough toilet paper for our 8 night stay and no trashbags we could change. I asked if we could get them and they were provided in the same day. Backyard and basement entrance more wore down than expected. Microwave would have been nice to have. All in all it was an okay stay. Only actual drawback was the drainage smell as it was more intense than in other places we stayed in.

• Marina (9/5): Perfect comfortable stay for central Athens. - Very modern, updated with super large comfortable bed & fine sheets, lovely bathroom & kitchen. Has a nice outside area. Perfect location. Close to shops, restaurants, Acropolis & Metro. We’d definitely stay their again. The pictures are exactly as shown. This property is on the lower ground level -go down stairs for entry to apartment. You can get the Metro (€9) from the airport to Acropolis station & short 4 min walk to Apartment. No cloth or paper towels for the kitchen to dry plates & cups. No ice or supplies. Only salt!! No shampoo or hand soap, so bring your own? I did inform owner & hopefully they’ll supply basics in future. Not deal breakers tho as the apartment is really nice.
• Georgios (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing apartment with a nice garden for relaxing evenings. Location is a 10 , host was very helpful. Recommending it to anyone who wants to stay in the heart of Athens and next to Acropolis. Metro is 3 minutes walk. Everything was perfect

The studio's proximity to the Acropolis was seen as unbeatable, while the private garden was a hidden gem that added an extra layer of tranquility to my friends' stay. They enthusiastically would like to endorse this property for anyone seeking a memorable stay in the heart of Athens.
