Guest Reviews
- Cherin (4/5): DO NOT STAY WITH MILLION HOMESTAY - The location. We had been trying to communicate with the owners of the apartment before check. They would not respond via booking.com. when attempting to call the number they would not answer and began to communicate via WhatsApp. In this communication they wanted me to pay a $500 deposit by sharing my credit card details. I had said I did not feel safe to do this via WhatsApp and only wanted to communicate via booking.com. They then stopped communicating. I contacted booking.com. They were good and aggred not to pass credit card details via WhatsApp. They contacted the agent who then only made contact via booking.com. They refused to give me details of check until 24 hours before check in. They still failed this and when I said I was nervous about traveling to the location without these details they then passed over the details.
After check out they have informed us that they are going to deduct $100 from our credit card due to us breaking a towel rail and a door stop. The towel rail had already been broken and clearly fixed multiple times due to alot of paint work around the area. The door stop none of us in the accommodation are aware of this happening. I have said we can be charged fir the door know but not the towel rail.
Very disappointed with the agent as they have not got back to me after they sent me the message.
I would never recommend this place or Million Homestay as their communication is very poor.
- Linda (10/5): Short and sweet - Location was fantastic Trying to get our key to check in was an absolute nightmare. No one was answering the phone and had to pick up the key from a shop a 5 min walk from the property. Communication is terrible. Waited 40mins before we could get into our apartment
- Brad (4/5): Not great but ok to put your head down - Location seeing it was F1 race The balcony was filthy looked like it hadn’t been washed in years, not much kitchen accessories, bathroom had no towel rail as it was snapped off
- Fiona (1/5): Worst place in Melbourne - Good location. The place was dirty (dusty), there was no soap or dishwahing liquid. The dish mop looked like it was a couple of months old and mouldy. We purchased soap, a whole bottle of dishwahing liquid and new sponges and left behind for the next people. After we had left, the owner had the audacity to charge me $82.50 for a supposedly broken wine glass (which we did not even use let alone break). You can buy many sets of wine glasses for that price in any case. This is just robbery. Also, it advertises free WiFi, but I messaged them many times for the password and I was just ignored, so we had to use our data for the whole time we were there.
- Damien (4/5): Convenient location but disappointing - Location The beds were nice and clean but the toilet seat is stained and the table wasn’t clean, towel rack in bathroom was broken.. I have stayed here many of times when there was a reception and parking available but when I got there I had to keys from a lock box down the street and was told there is now no parking so I had to park in the casino
