Guest Reviews
- Jaimee-lee (5/5): It’s a cute place but needs some money spent on it - Great location
Clean and comfortable beds
Cute styling Unfortunately the townhouse has a damp odour smell throughout, it definitely has some sort of mould issue
The staircases are very steep
The door to the laundry room was locked so we couldn’t use
They charge for early/late check in/out and I found it very difficult to get into contact with them to organise it. When I called them on check in day I was told it was because someone was checking out that day but I was not contacted and told this. They did facilitate the early check in but only after 3 attempts through their app, message through booking.com, an email and a phone call
- Sahib Inderjit Singh (2/5): Terrible property in a fantastic location - The location. That is the ONLY saving grace for this property. Where to begin.
1) Unclean
The floors were unmopped and dirty, dining room had crumbs, bathroom full of mouldy grout, and a foul stench throughout.
2) Unkempt
It is poorly maintained with dirty and stained rugs, tables, sofas, pillow covers, and bedding.
3) There are only TWO bedrooms
The "third" bedroom is in between the laundry area and the bathroom. Essentially just a bed in a living space.
4) Tiny spiral staircase
Very very difficult to get bags of 30kg luggage up a very tiny spiral staircase to the two bedrooms. NOT safe if you have had some drinks etc
5) Bathroom is in the basement
The ground floor is the dining, kitchen, and living room. The two bedrooms are up the spiral staircase and the bathroom is in the basement, down the spiral staircase.
6) Small space
The place is MUCH smaller than it appears. They have used wide angle photography in the promotional material.
7) Insects galore
The apartment has so many pests from cockroaches, to various flying insects, and the worst IMO, mosquitoes
- Luis (4/5): House needs maintenance - The location was great The house really needs maintenance as there were leaks / water coming through to the dinning room when it was raining. Mould on the downstairs basement room. Also, no spare toilet paper as we run out upstairs and have to share it. And a few lights no working or the extension lead not connected.
- Thomas (9/5): - Convenient walking proximity to the Sydney CPD and is located in a relatively quiet area of the city. Rooms were spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. Facilities were functional and available. Plenty to like.
- Jessica (7/5): - Location Lots of cockroaches throughout the house. Toilet door broke off. Didn’t feel very well secured, hit a friend in the head.
- Andreas (7/5): Good location, dirty and bad checkin - Good location, feels like a lot of value. Good beds. First they ask for a 1kAUD deposit, which is okay. But to then later ask for ca 40AUD in insurance (in their own check in) that will not be refunded is straight up stupid. I asked them about it, and they removed it. There also were cockroaches, a bit dirty - and they want money for things that other places does for free. Money milking place.
- Iva (7/5): Great location, the house needs some cleaning - Location is great and the host left us some chocolates which was nice. Having a washer and a dryer is great bonus. The house was warm and the space is nicely furnished. We didn't mind the stairs event though we were there with kids (6 and 8). The host changed the lock code few hours before our arrival while we where on a plane and since we are from EU we didn't have internet on our phone so we hade trouble entering the property. Also there is no emergency phone contact you can call after 5pm so where were left standing in front of the door at 10pm with two small kids.
The property is not cleaned properly, and the shower is full of mold. One of the mirrors in the bathroom is broken. They could have left more toilet paper since we booked the place for 9 days. Also all of the duvets had stains and the fact that they don't use duvet covers but only strait sheets made this even worse. They really need to deep clean this house.
- Jason (10/5): Small townhome in Sydney. - Location was great. The stairs are narrow spiral, be aware if you have any mobility issues.
- Miriam (10/5): We've been great! - Everything it's been beautiful! The staff available and helpful, the entire three level property perfectly set, the big bathroom working marvellous, the little toilet upstairs very useful, the heat of the entire apartment great, the spiral staircase solid and even funny... For a Stylish property in Old Sydney all it's been simply prefect, thank you!!
P.S. If you don't like or cannot climb up and down, ok: it's not your place. Regarding us, we extremely enjoyed it!!
- Around! (10/5): Great Location!!! - The location was great. Didn't care for the stairs being so steep.
- Stanley (9/5): Superb - Just need more clean.😀 Not clean.
- Riley (8/5): Very good -
- Austin (4/5): Unsatisfactory the property needs a deep clean and new furniture - It was a great location....Central to all key things to see and do in Sydney The house was dirty and smelt stale. There were several huntsmen spiders and cockroaches in the house. There even a dead spider underneath the stairs. The house needs to be thoroughly disinfected.
There was a bed in the basement which they classed as a bedroom which was clearly not true. There was spiral staircase in the property which was really dangerous which my son nearly fell down. My wife refused to stay in the property because of all the reasons above. It was a wholly unsatisfactory place. I rang and emailed several times during my stay. I finally received an email at 2330 local time the night before check out.
- Inseon (5/5): Good location, good staff but old apartment, interesting structure - Location was perfect. All location was walking distance. There is not bathroom in first floor.
And for shower, you have to go basement. That was so uncomfortable. Stairs are so so so steep. That’s not good to old people.
- Nicola (7/5): Good - Great location, with brilliant access to public transport. Upstairs bedrooms lovely and light. Very easy to hear people passing by outside at night.
You use a spiral staircase to go to the bedrooms or the bathroom. The stairs were fine for me but one of my friends had to come down backwards as they are very tight.
There had been a lot of rain and downstairs smelled damp.
- Ruth (4/5): Was ok amd did the job but disappointing that the description was decpetive - Location was great Cleanliness was not great. Also is says 3 bedrooms but it is really only 2 bedrooms with a bed put in an open void at the bottom of the stairs that you had to walk through to use the bathroom. Also the small barn style doors meant very little privacy for the bathroom or the uostairs toilet. This was not a genuine 3 bedroom house.
- Angela (8/5): Nice place to stay and close to the city. - Good location, easy to get around. lots of shops close by and restaurants.
The house was comfortable and had all the basics you need.
Comfortable for 5 adults.
Good host and good communication. The stairs were a bit of a challenge, especially trying to get the suitcase's up and down.
The dryer wasn't very good, but on a good day you can wash and dry your stuff outside as they had a clothes rail to hang your stuff on.
Another sofa would have been good too as it was only really for 3 people.
- Jerry (7/5): Excellent location and easy access - Excellent location. Centrally located. Walking distance to shops, train station, tourist sites and etc. The spiral staircase in the house is scary. It is very narrow. Older folks will have difficulty.
- Peimin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Việt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Location and it was a full house
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
