- Jana (9/5): - The location is excellent for those who travel by public transport. The apartment is very clean, cozy and warm. Easy to get the keys. Special thanks for the coffee and tea available in the apartment. Kitchen equipment for any needs. Great experience, we will be happy to come back again. As many have already mentioned, at some point you should oil the bathroom door.
It wakes up everyone sleeping at night... :D

We travel frequently as a family and have lived in several countries over the past decade, so we’re used to a wide range of accommodations. However, this was one of only two times we’ve felt we had to leave a property early due to misrepresentation and serious concerns about it's run-down state , uncomfortable furniture, overall cleanliness and safety.
Unfortunately, the apartment and surrounding area were far below expectations. The building exterior was run-down, and the so-called “garden” was overgrown with weeds and filled with rusted, broken furniture—not the relaxing welcome implied in the listing. Even more concerning was the location: within minutes of arriving, we felt unsafe walking outside, even during the day. The surrounding area had a high number of people who appeared to be unhoused or actively using substances, and some exhibited erratic behavior. This is not a place we felt comfortable bringing our children.
Inside, things did not improve. The pullout couch was cheap, broken down, and deeply uncomfortable. The mattress was visibly stained, as were the couch cushions—to the point where we didn’t feel comfortable letting our kids sit on them. The carpet had odd reddish-orange stains that were unsettling, and one power outlet was dangerously loose with exposed wires. The walls were dirty, and we noticed a couple of bugs in the kitchen upon arrival.
The key pickup process was also a bit unusual—we had to collect it from a convenience store by giving a code to the clerk.
We shared photos with the host and requested a refund after deciding to leave early for the safety and well-being of our family. While we were refunded for the unused nights, we were still charged for the first night. The host’s response was dismissive—they suggested we book through Airbnb next time, as they’re supposedly more flexible. That response alone speaks volumes.

- Taina (10/5): - Asunto oli todella rauhallinen ja viihtyisä.
Kaikki tarvittava ja vähän enemmänkin löytyi 😊
Mukavasta sängystä erityismaininta.
Alueelta pääsi helposti liikkumaan eri puolille Helsinkiä.

- Katarzyna (9/5): - Atmospheric apartment in an old, well-kept tenement house. Well-stocked and clean. Great location. I recommend!
- Yee (8/5): Very good -
- Gloria (9/5): Superb - Location is very good , almost everything was in the apartment. Didn't need to buy extra utilities or things. Quiet place and good for family's and friends. Easy to understand and good stuff , helping right away :) cleanliness is topnotch. Kitchen chopping board was missing and outside lot of suspicious people lurking around.(Drunk/dirty people)
- Charlotte (8/5): Fine - The location is well connected but the neighbpurhood is rough , I would not recommend for single foreign travellers , lots of drunks and down and outs
- Luz (9/5): It was a great stay in a functional and comfortable place, strategically located to travel around Helsinki - Excellent location, close to market and metro. It’s also very functional Provision of more toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, paper towel or table napkins
- Sandra (9/5): Welcoming place for a small family - Place owner was very helpful and organized an additional bed for our kid. I liked that there was an elevator in the building and throughout our stay (weekend) it was very quiet. Also, I liked that there was coffee in the kitchen and Netflix available. There was all that is needed for cooking and a washing machine with tablets. There's difficult to find any cons. The bathroom door was a bit squicky, especially at nighttime 😀 but it's nothing that wd40 can't fix.
- Ian (10/5): Cozy, quaint, and yes, a charming little apartment typical of Helsinki. - The property is exactly what you would expect from an apartment in Helsinki. It is small, but by no means cramped and is very cozy. It is delightfully simple, minimalist in a modern fashion, which is very much typical of the apartments you'd find throughout the city. We were a group of three (2 adults and one child) and found it met our needs perfectly. I give it 5 out of 5 stars not because it is luxurious as in a 5 star hotel style fashion but because it delivers exactly what is promised and it does so at a stellar value. The location is perfect for access to the metro station or the tram, both of which are a minutes walk away. From there you are only a couple of stops from the city center and the old market along the waterfront. The newer Hakaniemi market place is within walking distance (about 10 minutes) or just one stop down the line on the metro. There is a little grocery store a stone's throw away as well and numerous restaurants in the area. The building itself is very secure and there is even a little garden area in the back (which would be nice in warmer months). We didn't meet our host in person but she kept a line of communication open with us via WhatsApp during our entire stay and made sure to make us feel most welcome. Overall we loved our stay there. Not a negative, just a quirk. The area around the metro station, namely a small square in front of the grocers, was usually populated with some colorful characters. We never felt unsafe, at any time, but there were just some folk that just acted a bit odd. I think metro stations tend to draw that crowd in every city in my experience though... Like I said, it wasn't a negative.
- Tanya (10/5): Exceptional - The most amazing apartment I’ve ever been. Everything was very clean and extremely cozy! Any facilities you need and even more, plus elevator in the building. Location is perfect, the street is quiet, without unnecessary noise. You can reach any destination you need in a walking distance, though bus stops in 5 minutes from accommodation. As well as markets. I fell in love with this flat and with this city. We definitely will stay again next time. 🤍
- Mitrichius (10/5): Exceptional - Cozy, light and comfortable apartment. My karjalainen girlfriend enjoyed the familiar, native Finnish atmosphere. The apartment has everything you need.
Excellent location, really convenient transport nearby: metro station, trams and buses. We also walked to the city center.
- Mislav (10/5): Great value for money, clean and simple check in, would recomend. - For price location is great, bus stations nearby and Bolt rental scooters, around half an hour walk to the center The sofa bed is a bit uncomfortable but ok, and the sofa bed when pulled out blocks passage to the bathroom
