Guest Reviews
- Pejman (9/5): Excellent séjour dans un appartement de charme, mais dans son jus. Très bonne réactivité du propriétaire. - L’emplacement, la terrasse ! Un peu trop dans son jus…
- Eugen (10/5): Good value for money, I would recommend it ! - Location, Spacious apartment, Friendly owner, literally in the center of Rome just across Tiber river ! The curtain on the kitchen window is missing , especially inportant if someone sleeps in the living room 🙈 .The main door lock needs to be fixed ( gets jammed ) and a power cable from the radio in the living room is missing which is a pity because it is a nice radio. But overall I recommend this charming place . Definitly gives you the local vibe.
- louise (7/5): - Location Bathroom floors dirty. Shower needs love and the bathroom also. Door of bathroom Making big noise. To enter in the shower, is not large. Good for us we are thin. 85 steps to go to the penthouse not for everyone. Coffee machine need big cleaning and also the dishes. But location was fantastic. There was a half of a toilet paper roll, no extra, as per owner we were not in an hotel, so we bought some. That was our 4th apartment in Italy and got 4 or 5 toilet paper rol each time. . Even some Scott towell in every apt we rent during our vacation.
- Claudia (7/5): - Perfect location, nice and quiet place - could not be better. Amenities all good, even a dishwasher and a washing machine! Simone was a very helpful host. Walking 88 steps to get to the apartment is a good form of fitness training. It was not a problem for me, but not everybody will be that fit. It would be better if this were mentioned somewhere.
The apartment is really cute, but when the weather is not so warm anymore, it was pretty cold, and the heating did not work.
- Evgueni (8/5): Great place to stay for a Rome visit - The apartment has an authentic Roman feel and is in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the Parthenon. It’s very spacious, with a comfortable living room, a good kitchen and a nice terrace. It would have been nice to see the river while sitting at the terrace table, but as it is you can only see it when standing and looking over the roof. A few small maintenance issues could be improved, such as a leaking iron and a noisy fridge.
- Clarisse (8/5): Roman to the bone - Perfect location. Truly Roman. Great views from a lovely seclude terrace. Very comfortable mattrass/bed. Very kind, responsive and flexible host. With a little care and effort the could even be spectacular. Could have been cleaner (eg fridge), some things could do with small repairs (eg bathroom) and some basic provisions would help (eg kitchen towels). A small investment could turn the place into a true gem.
- Viktor (9/5): Great location overwrites every minor flaws this apartment could possible have! - Location was exceptionel! Host was super helpful. The apartment is charming and was perfectly functional, for a small family it was great! It could have been just a little cleaner. It was fine, but could have been a bit more thorough the cleaning...Also the fifth floor without an elevator can be a problem for some. For us none of these were a big problem and overall we enjoyed our stay :)
- Vladimir (9/5): beautiful authentic apartment with terrace and view - beautiful terrace overlooking the river the bathroom door needs to be adjuste
- Geert (2/5): Far too expensive for what you get. - The location is ideal near Ponte Sisto between Trastevere and the old centre. When you arrive, the owner greets you very friendly and animatedly tells you how historic and beautiful the apartment you have chosen is. (But the reality is completely different). The flat is promoted as a ‘charm penthouse’, but it isn't. It is located on the fifth floor which can only be reached by stairs or 83 steps. Above that is another flat, i.e. a penthouse and this is the 6th floor. There is a small dirty terrace available but you can't see anything of the surroundings when you sit on a chair, all cleaning stuff is stored on the terrace, also a lot of noise from cars and scooters. Same noise in the living room because the window cannot be closed completely. The bathroom is old and needs complete renovation, mould in the shower, the water does not drain properly and the lighting did not work above the mirror. The basic needs are not there or too little: not enough shampoo nor shower gel (only 4 small bottles for 5 nights/2 people), only 2 rolls of toilet paper, no detergent to do the dishes nor detergent for dishwasher, no salt&pepper, olive oil if you want to cook, no bottled water, no coffee pods, no kitchen paper and no towel. You have to go straight to the shop nearby. The kitchen is too dark, lights above cooker did not work. The bed is good and it is quiet in the room because of the double glazing. On arrival we only find a duvet for a 1 person bed, so we called the owner to bring a 2 person bed duvet. Overall, the flat needs urgent renovation. We had a great time in Rome, but the apartment was really disappointing. We paid 1770 € for 5 nights and this is ridiculously too much for what you get. For that or even lower price you can stay in the neighbourhood in a 4 star hotel - breakfast included !! .
- Helga (10/5): We were thrilled to stay in such a historic residence. Our host Simon was wonderful! - Very clean and comfortable, excellent location, close to all the attractions. Lots of stairs, but it’s good exercise.
- Valentina (7/5): Very friendly host, decent apartment, but really overpriced. - The host was very friendly and let us leave the luggage after the check-out as we had an afternoon flight. He also helped me to take the big suitcase to the apartment. The location was also ok. Good coffee machine. The flat is on the last floor with no elevator, so taking our bags up there was not easy. The kitchen had no tea towels, no paper, no salt, pepper, or oil. also, the cups were limited, some pots belonged more to the trash than to the kitchen. The price was really high for what it offered...
- Анна (6/5): Pleasant - Excellent location, all attractions within walking distance. Very clean bathroom and toilet, well done to the cleaners. Good linen and towels. The owner sent an assistant, he was very late. First we waited on the street, then we went to a cafe with our bags. Although they asked for the flight number and the flight was late, we still had to wait. They didn’t want to give me an extra blanket, tried to persuade me to use a larger one for two people, I had to insist that three people get three blankets, brought it later. There were no water or coffee capsules. Didn't use the kitchen. In general, quite uncomfortable, very cold floor, entrance to the toilet is through the bedroom, the doors are fastened, the entrance to the apartment does not close well, we struggled with it for 20 minutes. The apartment is on the top floor without an elevator, not recommended for people with limited mobility or the elderly. Cleaners' equipment is stored on the balcony. Overall, it is an overpriced apartment.
- Penny (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (9/5): perfect location close to all major attractions and shopping. a MUST stay in Roma. - the location is AMAZING!! Simone was beyond helpful and checked us in and showed us around the apartment. a must stay if you want to be in walking distance of everything. Top floor =lots of steps. BUT it is worth it.
- Piotr (8/5): Very good - Nice apartment Bathroom need renovation
