Everyone in our party of 8 all said the same. Nothing. When asking for value for money, this more than met expectations. Anyone requiring more for the price would be deluded.

Dostałyśmy pokój dwuosobowy z oddzielnymi łóżkami - wielkość pokoju wystarczająca, materace wygodne. W pokoju i łazience czysto. Znalazłam informacje, że lodówka znajduje sie tylko w pokojach z balkonami, jednak w naszym pokoju bez balkonu, od strony miasta, również byla mini lodówka co bylo miłym zaskoczeniem. Śniadania oceniam jako dobre - opcja typowo na słodko, ale tez wytrawnie - jajecznica, wędliny, sery. Dobre soki, kawa, herbata. Bardzo pozytywnie oceniam również obsługę hotelu, ktora wczesniej odpisala na moje wiadomości z zapytaniem o możliwość przechowania bagażu, a w dniu zameldowania wszystko przebiegło bez problemu, każdy był pomocny i miły, pomimo ze nie znałyśmy francuskiego, jedynie angielski 😉
• Monika (2/5): We wouldn’t stay here again - Location directly on the Promenade Our room with city view had a view of dirty courtyard. The room was extremely small and bed was not comfortable. Would appreciate if we were informed that city view means court view. Overall we found this hotel uncared for in sense of general cleanliness
• Hamid (7/5): Normal. - The main positive point about Hôtel Le Royal Promenade des Anglais was definitely the location. It is in a great spot in Nice with very convenient access to the beach and nearby attractions. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and housekeeping standards were disappointing. When we arrived, there was a leftover salad in the fridge from the previous guest, and we also found previous guests’ socks inside one of the drawers. The toilet did not appear to be properly cleaned before our check-in either. In addition, the tissues were finished after just one day and were not replaced promptly. Breakfast was normal and acceptable, but overall the experience did not match the expectations for the hotel despite the excellent location.

• Marie-Louise (6/5): agréable , surtout par l'espace de la chambre et la situation géographique de l'hôtel - la chambre est très spacieuse mais le double vitrage est insuffisant pour atténuer ou couvrir le bruit des voitures et motos bruyantes , surtout la nuit la porte fenêtre de la chambre ne fermait pas entièrement manque d'isolation du bruit de la rue le pain du petit déjeuner est malheureusement pas de la qualité française qui fait sa réputation !!

• HEATHER (6/5): Up-market hotel in prime location in Nice - but trades off this. Over-priced for what is offered. - View - perfect as anticipated. . Room clean & bedding comfortable - apart from the smell - open air balcony doors helped. Entering room into a foul drain/sewer odour spoiled everything, better but still pervasive even after reporting - sea breeze helped if balcony open, otherwise keep the bathroom door closed (obv source). TV didn't work to change from existing French channel to anything. Room phone did not work. If you wanted anything you have to go downstairs & request it - eg. beverage, ice bucket/glasses/bottle opener etc. Care factor of staff - courteous at front desk but pretty non-existent after checkin or bill paying. Bar staff better but not great.Forget about room service - there really isn't any unless midday - salad options only -until 8pm (??) & the room minibar is a fridge only (a loose term - not cold & no temp adj).
• Aldona (5/5): Good location , very formal service - Location We booked 2 separate beds firr 2 persons and it was cobfirmed that at least we will get 2 blankets but it was only obe. It was late evening and we after complain got obe extra cover but we had to nake bed byourselfs. In 4* hotel we do not expect such service. Also water in shower was going diwn so slow that 2 person could have shower only after 10-15 minutes

• FRANCISCO (8/5): Great location, good for a short stay clean rooms - The room was ok clean but small the location of the hotel could not be better, the receptionist was very attentive The hotel need renovation the rooms was to small
• Paul (4/5): Avoid. - Location Still waiting for the property to respond to my questions concerning my data that was stolen by hackers who got into their booking.com account in January. They haven’t reported the data breach which is illegal. Very rude and ignorant.
• SANJIV KUMAR (1/5): If your willing to pay for the location then go ahead. - The only good thing about the property was the location. Rooms, The rooms are small. They had paper cups to make coffee and in the toilet. The housekeeper refused to give cups the next day. We had to make multiple calls to get the room serviced. The toilet pot was stained which looked dirty. Breakfast. Very scanty layout, Raw eggs were kept which we had to boil or fry ourselves. All food being served were empty servers and we had to constantly remind to top up. The area where cutlery was kept was so dirty which wasn’t cleaned in the 6 days that we stayed.

Restaurants close by however more choice if go 1 block back. Walking distance to everything. Shower needed a good scrub and housekeeping very hit and miss.

Much bigger than what we have stayed in at other European cities. Building is starting to show its age. Still very comfortable but little things could enjoy a touch of maintenance.

We especially dealt with Charlotte and Nicolas who always spoke to us politely making us feel as if we knew them well. Nothing. The room was superb with a great balcony view of the Mediterranean Sea. It was always kept clean because of Jenny whom we got to know !

Location very good with easy access to railway station, port and airport. Nothing everything was good and a superb few days we had.

• Philippa (7/5): Lovely location, clean and nice for a short stay - I booked a sea view comfort room so it had a small terrace which was divine up on the 4th floor. Only room for one person though. Bed was comfortable but two twins together. Very clean. Reception staff like Kenza were very kind to my mother who came with me and helped answer our many questions. Richard in the restaurant was super kind to my Mum so very appreciative for the staff which really can make or break your stay. Good for adults but maybe not families. The hotel feels a little run down which is a shame as it’s a beautiful building. The breakfast is ok and would be great for more hot items. Room prices vary but worth it for the sea view

• Philippa (7/5): Great location if you want a sea view but more basic amenities - Loved the location and the room with the view. Note the terraces are on the first floor so you hear a lot of the noise from the promenade and people walking by. The reception staff are helpful and speak many languages. For €400 a night the terrace room didn’t come with any water or shampoo. It lacked comfortable chairs for the terrace and a more premium experience for the more expensive rooms. The hotel is 3 star but has such potential to be a 4 star. The bar in the lobby has garden furniture and there isn’t much space to lounge downstairs. The dinner you had to book in advance despite staying at the hotel and only had one menu option. Breakfast was ok, good pastries but pretty basic. Again another area they could really up level. so odd you have to fry or boil your own eggs. None of the tables are set so you have to bring cutlery, cups plates to the table.

Customer not treated right missing many normal room conveniences - Many missing normal conveniences for patrons not here , no bath robes , no bottled water , charged me extra above the amount paid online ! Small musty room like there was mold . Glad only stayed one nights
• Kathleen (9/5): Loved the location and the beautiful view of the Mediterranean - The location was fantastic and the front staff and breakfast staff were wonderful. Arline was very helpful and caring. The maids were not so attentive. We didn’t have towels for 2 days. We had to ask and another day our room was not cleaned nor beds made nor shower cleaned.

But it did seem to be at the discretion of who was the bartender One day shut 9.45 Next day 10.30 The closing time stated at the bar is 10.30 When asked bartender why he was shutting at 9.45 , when it says 10.30 He said don’t worry about that !!
