• Carl (1/5): Unsanitary and Unsafe Apartment, Bad Host - Not much; location only redeeming factor. Absolutely filthy and a health hazard. Pictures will show the state of the apartment which was horrible. Past reviews (not many reviews for years of renting) may be favourable, but the apartment is nothing like the rental pictures on various sites. The host was terrible and when we complained about the unsanitary conditions, she said she wanted us to leave and that we were not welcome. Denied there was a problem and tried to keep our full payment (about $1,500). Thankfully booking.com stepped in and got us a full refund for which we are very grateful. Grime and mold in the showers, other people’s footprints all over bathroom floors, used soap, dirty bathmat, old food and even a frozen bug in the fridge and freezer, filthy stained chairs and sofa, dirty kitchen everything, construction materials, dirty front mat and door - just unliveable. Do not book here if you value cleanliness or having a good host.

• Gaynor (10/5): A lovely apartment in a great location Would highly recommend - Excellent location views of Christ the redeemer were amazing . Accurate photos of the apartment . 3 mins walk to Catete metro so easy access to all the city sights . Nothing

• Sarita Mota (10/5): - Apartamento amplo, bem ventilado, bem localizado, com vista lateral para o mar, e vista da cidade. Equipamentos funcionando muito bem. Check-in e check-out autônomos e com excelente horário. É preciso subir um lance de escadas e, com malas, foi um pouco difícil.
• Sarah (8/5): - Very good, safe location; fantastic view. The apartment is spacious and recently renovated. Having these two balconies is a real plus. Despite the space, there are only 2 beds. I think it would be great if one of the many sofas were a sofa bed, especially as the place has 4 bathrooms! Some renovation flaws as well, and it lacks some charm
