Guest Reviews
- Matthew (5/5): Great location, OK accomodation. - Superb location, with so many great cafes nearby. Easy access to public transport. A few minor things:
- Found a cockroach in the room. Understand this can be common in Sydney, but still not great.
- Pillows were way too firm and loft. Recommend one much less “high” pillow for sleeping, and one “higher” pillow for reading.
- The bed sheets situation was really weird. They didn’t have any fitted sheets. Essentially was just a single sheet on bottom, then a single sheet below doona and above doona. This really didn’t work because the moment you roll over in bed, the sheets move and suddenly you’re sleeping on the bare mattress and with the bare doona.
- Tracey (8/5): Very convenient - Great location
Ideal studio Had to keep the shutters down to prevent neighbours from seeing in. This was always a concern as it was a studio, so bed in lounge/kitchen area.
There was a lot of noisy building work going on that started very early in the road overlooking the apartment.
Quite expensive.
Stayed in a one bedroom apartment there last year that was perfect. Could not afford it this year as prices seemed to have risen considerably.
- Mark (6/5): - Location was perfect. Right on light rail city access. Price was relatively good (for Sydney). Shower plug was partially blocked - so water flowed over the bathroom. Had to have short quick showers. This should have been sorted before we arrived. Couldn't get dishwasher to work.
We were told we had to complete an online form as part of our booking; but we were not told that this would require ID verification that needed a smartphone and biometric analysis. In my opinion this was over the top and unsettling.
No smart phone, No access - this was NOT detailed prior to booking or on conditions!!!
No access to assistance, except by phone.

- Paul (6/5): Netheid op de grens van onacceptabel - Ruimte en ligging Was niet echt schoon en veel kakkerlakken, soms wel 5 per dag.
- Andy (3/5): Lovely apartment but close to the tram so not for light sleepers - Fitted with all the key components for a self catered apartment; good location in Surry Hills The air conditioning system didn’t work properly and in spite of our complaints it was not fixed during the 2 week stay. The place also had a problem with cockroaches and it only was resolved after a visit from a pest control company. Finally the building has not been built with triple glazing and so you hear the trams running through the night.
- Ron (8/5): Very good -
- Liz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charles (9/5): Great neighbourhood location if you want to live like a local - Location of this place is great! I can’t emphasize that the location of this place is great! I instantly became a neighbourhood snob and had no desire to explore outside the area. Everything around was close and convenient. From bars to grocery stores to pharmacists. Nothing in Sydney was far away except the beach.
I would definitely stay again. I didn’t realize the magic of laundry on premises while on long duration travel until I had it. A few minor things but nothing to not stay again would deter. The shower pressure was god awful at times and inconsistent. Not sure if this was due to high water use throughout the building. Also the bathroom sink interface was not conducive to brushing one’s teeth or having to bend over to expectorate.
The tram will be a disturbance for a light sleeper, but nothing that ear plugs couldn’t overcome. Seems like better sound insulation for the main room could have solved the problem.
