Guest Reviews
- Melita (6/5): Beautiful spot set in nature with the family - Remote setting but close to town
Fireplace and open plan No firewood
Need more kitchen utensils and crockery
No heater
- Morgan (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect. Such a beautiful well put together place to stay
- Sayakhot (6/5): Nice area, needs maintenance. - Location Directions about the property were vague, as there is more then one chalet on the property, but that is not clearly stated, or the whereabouts of our particular chalet. The beds were extremely squeaky and so were the stairs. There were too many bugs and mosquitoes.
- Maria (8/5): Tranquil - Relaxed , rustic and tranquil
- Adam (8/5): Very good -
- Pritam (9/5): Superb -
- Hajime (7/5): Good -
- Ciara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (10/5): Scenic piece of natural paradise to recharge and escape the bustle. - Friendly professional hosts. The cottage was exceptional. Super clean. All the mod cons and modern kitchen amenities. Property not fenced but have accessed to walk the landscape of vast acreage. Stunning. Quiet.peacful. Comfy beds. Loads of hot water. STI es throw from everything although it feels remote. Great place to switch off although you have free wifi too. Loved every second. Have already recommended to many friends. Stunning. Nil
- Marty (7/5): Calm peaceful spot - Location, tranquillity, wildlife The main bedroom mattress was horrible, it was really disappointing to sleep on such a worn out mattress.
- Michelle (7/5): Great location, dog friendly but some updating needed if charging premium prices - This is our third trip to these cottages and we love the grounds and the location. Our dog always has the best time here. Plus it’s close to both Dunsborough and Yallingup. No wood was provided as in previous years and they were changing $35 a bag. ($18 BP garage) wish this had been specified before we left and no tools for the use of the fire either. The bed in the master was also pretty uncomfortable, uncovered duvet and itchy sheets. The TV also needs updating, be nice to watch a movie on Netflix on an evening and not an old dvd player with no sound. For the price they charge at peak times, these small things do make a big difference.
- Andries (8/5): Very nice - Nice little house. Water was brownish; didn't think one could drink it or use it for coffee. We were not told of this beforehand.
- Mirjana (10/5): Beautiful property located just minutes away from the town - Location and tranquility
- Annemarie (1/5): Horrendous!!!!! In the Future, it’s not Rocket science, if there’s a water issue, DONT HIRE OUT COTTAGES!!!! SIMPLE - Mark the Maintenance guy, who tried to help us out as much as he could
the location, being in the bush it was peaceful and that’s it NOTHING ELSE!
The 1st night …… and that’s where it stopped It had NO WATER
It wasn’t very clean
No WIFI
No working Toilet coz NO WATER!!
Michael the go to, never responded to ph calls or messages or deflected to someone else
to busy at his triathlon
- Rachael (9/5): Peaceful and quite - Beautiful and quite location with lots of wildlife around. We arrived earlier than normal check-in and they accommodated us with early check-in for this. I cant really fault anything.
- Graham (6/5): Pleasant - Wi-Fi bad on 1st night.
Large spider on 2nd bedroom wall, had to move to sitting room.
- Mirjana (10/5): Perfect stay for family, couples or groups. Loved everything about it. Location, cleanliness, comfort and kangaroos ever - Beautiful property secluded and peaceful, yet so close to Dunsborough town
- Markd (7/5): Good -
- Ozzy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicholas (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sarah (9/5): Beautiful location and excellent amenities. - Kitchen well equipped, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Beautiful outlook. I didn’t like the other cottage occupants dogs running up to us. Not everyone likes dogs.
- Doug (8/5): Very good -
- Mike (10/5): As a regular visitor to the Margaret River region we have stumbled upon an absolute gem of accomodation. Location is not - We loved the location, we were super close to Dunsborough but felt like we were away from it all. The cottage was lovely, very comfortable beds and had everything we needed on hand. Nothing, we were absolutely delighted with the cottage.
- Louise (10/5): A great spot for a relaxed stay close to Dunsborough - You can’t ask for more beautiful view. Chose this property because of the wood burner, thought it would be lovely on a cold night. But only one small log and a small handful of kindling it wasn’t worth the effort. Enough for one night would’ve satisfied us.
- Angela (8/5): Very good -
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Hans (3/5): Great location, dirty cottage - Great location not too far from Dunsborough. The cottage was found in a very dirty state. All cutlery and crockery had to be cleaned first to remove the food from previous guests.
The entire cottage had cobwebs and large spiderwebs everywhere spooking my wife.
Charging a $240 cleaning fee and arriving at the cottage like this will not make us book again.
A response from the agent is still to be received.
- Tobias (6/5): Pleasant - Nice holiday home in a quiet area. Poor check-in due to missing key. There was no key, when we arrived at 21 pm. No one could be reached by phone. Luckily a window was open so we could go inside. There was only a brief apology the next day.
- Sarah (10/5): Will definitely be back! - An amazing stay! An absolute oasis in the middle of Easter - was so lovely seeing all the Kangaroos (so many!), birds (and donkeys!) and nature every day - our little girl loved it! Close to everything, but just enough away from the townships not to get caught up in crowds:) Although there are other cabins on the property, the accommodation was very smartly built so that no windows in any of the cabins were looking directly at each other! All kitchen appliances and cutlery, glasses etc were available to use and nothing missing - it even had a coffee plunger which was excellent. We also loved having the fire during the chilly evenings. Will definitely stay again! We did not realise that there were other cabins on the property, and so when driving in for the first time we didn't really know which cabin was the one we booked - then we realised there were names on the sides of them:) Perhaps some clearer instructions on which cabin is which (or a map) would be useful, but other than that all was amazing - thankyou!
- Jessica (7/5): Serenity, wildlife & great WIFI - The Woodstone estate property is beautiful, very serene. We loved the wildlife and the view over the dam. The wood fire was lovely and kept the cottage nice and warm. We also loved that we could take our dogs! Kitchen and bathroom were completely functional, although the bathroom is a bit outdated. The wifi was great and so was the location only 5 mins to Dunsborough town. We felt the property was slightly overpriced for what we needed. We booked last minute and needed dog friendly but it was unclear if this was the only dog friendly cottage on the estate or not, if there was another we would have picked a single level cottage for a cheaper price, as we didnt use the loft and extra beds upstairs. A couple of little things that are a simple fix - the couch was full of sand even though the cleaners had been, some of the fly screens are hanging off which will allow creepy crawlies in, we thought a stick vaccum would have been useful as it is on a property and had a fire which can be quite messy, although there was a brush and dustpan. All little things, but for the price should be rectified.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lavinia (6/5): Pleasant - I loved location.
kitchen utensils and appliances were spot on The only thing that I disliked is that a deap clean is needed in the cottages. Especially that it’s located in the forest, i didn’t feel too comfortable with the spider webs/ dust of the floor in the bedrooms / dead flies in the window gaps/ floors not vacuumed and washed. Those are the only things unfortunately otherwise everything else was awesome
Thanks
- Birgit (10/5): we loved it - it was everything what we had expected! very nice and cosy place maybe a exhaust hood on top of the stove would have been brilliant.
- Spencer (8/5): Very good -
- Sabina (8/5): Very good -
