• Clodoaldo (1/5): Misleading Property with Poor Conditions - This property is a complete lie. It is full of rules that they only tell you about when you are about to arrive, and there is almost nothing you are allowed to do. In our case, we asked Booking to cancel and refund our stay so we could go to a suitable hotel instead. A few hours before arrival, they sent us a WhatsApp message with more than 50 rules. When we arrived at the property, there was a filthy entrance door with a slippery floor, everything was disorganised, and in the room the lack of care and cleanliness was clearly evident.

• Von Unruh (4/5): Disappointing and false advertising, dirty dishes - The design was nice, very minimalistic. Rooms also very minimalistic, not even a lamp on the bed or anything, just dead space. They advertise with breakfast included, which just is not true. There is 30ct instant noodles, that’s it, but that’s no breakfast. They advertise with cereals, milk etc, but nothing there, not even kitchen towels. Also, there were 2 plates and cutlery, which was already dirty in the drawers, didn’t want to eat there at all. After I contacted the manager and said it’s a scam to advertise this as breakfast, she said I was threatening her family (told her I will leave a negative review, that was my “threat“) and wanted to throw me out. Of course I did not threaten anyone, I just wanted the breakfast I booked this place for. This is not how you handle guests with a complaint, very rude and unprofessional. I was in touch with the platform support on this, they confirmed this behavior is wrong and not according to the standards, offered a refund. (She will probably answer this is not true, as she did with previous negative reviews, but it is, screenshots of all the conversation exist.) Also, there is an empty aquarium with some big fish in there, nothing else, which I’d consider animal cruelty. Just a glass bucket of water. All in all, the room was similar to the aquarium, pretty empty and not cozy at all.

• BEATRIZ (8/5): Very nice but cold room - The place is very clean, the location of the place The room is nice but heating did not heat the bedroom so it is very cold and only has one blanquet, if you go in winter it is not recommended because the room will be very cold, I recommend that it has more blanquet and a small heating for guests

Poor kitchen facilities, minimal lighting in the room, seating in room was one folding chair, two bath towels for two people for entire stay, decor was very cold and sterile, construction crews that started working early in the morning, house rules not easily found on rental website and there were plenty. We didn't take any photos, they would not have helped anyone. Construction is cutting all of the rooms to much smaller spaces turning the home into a hostel.

• Deb (2/5): Definitely did not meet my expectations. I wouldn’t stay there again or recommend it. - Tracy was a very pleasant host. The house in a terrific location. Appreciated the mall and Fortinos being just a short walk away. The furnishings were very sparse. Our room had a bed, a table with one folding chair and a small dresser. Not having a nightstand by the bed meant there was no place for a lamp or to put our eyeglasses. I expected a family home to be decorated (pictures on the walls, something other than plain white walls, baseboards, etc.) Unfortunately that made it noisier than it would have been otherwise. The house didn’t appear to be clean. We were given 2 bath towels. When we requested hand towels and face cloths, we were given one more bath towel. Breakfast was supposed to be included. We were told that there would be oatmeal but we couldn’t even locate that.

• Alissa (6/5): Ok for the price. - Very good placement, spacious room. A few things noticed while staying in our room: - No insulation. You could hear other guests and people in the house. Noises as small as sneezes could be heard. - Cleanliness. The shower head and other areas in the shower we're moldy, there was a shattered mirror in the closet, dust in most corners. It just didn't look like the cleaning was done very often. - Showering was limited to 5 to 10 minutes and we were only given a single towel each. - Breakfast was not an actual full breakfast as listed. Instant noodles were the only breakfast option.

A 3- minute walk to Lawrence Allen Center and less than 15 minutes walk to Yorkdale Mall and Bus Terminus. Open kitchen for guests. Quite neighborhood. Thank You Tracy for accommodating my requests and being patience. As I was arriving late at night, she waited for me to make sure I arrived safely. Will recommend it and will stay here again!

The common spaces - bathroom and kitchen - were dirty. (The shared bathroom has never been cleaned in three days) There isn't a breakfast (just noodles and the possibility to have tea or instant coffee)
• Polite (1/5): Its a scam, Avoid this host and property — not worth the risk. - IT IS A TOTAL SCAM, Don't fall for it! Our stay with Tracy was one of the worst booking experiences we’ve ever had. 1. We booked this property for 2 nights a month before our trip, we confirmed 6 PM check-in on the date we booked and she confirmed it as well but at the last minute about 5:30 pm when we were on the way to the property, she told us we couldn’t go to the original property and sent us to another location because it was double booked— which I suspect isn’t even officially listed. We had no choice but to accept, as it was too late to find an alternative, she even asked us to go later after 7:30 pm, she mentioned she has a kid so I tried to be understanding and give her some time to prepare our room! She promised we could move to the original place the next day, but then changed her mind again the next morning to make us to stay at the same place, and she asked us to cancel the booking if we didn’t agree — knowing full well that cancelling through Booking.com would mean we lose our money. 2. The replacement property was unacceptable: The bed was broken, the room was tiny with barely any space to walk, it was unbearably hot for most of the night, and the door only locked from the inside — making it unsafe to leave our belongings. 3. Lack of accountability: Instead of owning the situation, Tracy offered only a 10% discount for a stay that was clearly not up to standard and tried to charge nearly full price. 4. Trip disruption: We lost hours trying to figure out where we’d sleep, missed plans we were excited about, and now even after the trip, we’re still dealing with Booking.com to get a refund for the second night we never stayed. This was a stressful, disappointing experience that took away from our vacation. Avoid this host and property — not worth the risk.

• Mamutova (6/5): Pleasant - The room was spacious and had not much furniture But I would add some coach or chair to have more comfort. Host is welcoming. Location is very near to yorkdale centre. Neighbourhood is calm and house by itself is big All common area was dirty, kitchen, hall, bathroom. Bathroom is shared. Also we could hear everything what is going on in the room next to us, one guy was speaking too loud! Also host asked us to leave property during our staying for few hours because they had meeting in it. This situation I didn’t like at all. We paid for all time staying and we were pushed to go out even we were too much tired from travelling

Although the host lives at the same place with kids but i don’t mind. - The property is clean, spacious and the host is very accommodating. The place is near the shopping center, grocery , walking distance to train station, bus stop and to the church. No toiletries like shampoo, conditioner and a complimentary toothpaste and toothbrush. But its not a big deal. The room key must be different from each. This is the only issue that needs improvement. Otherwise i was so comfortable with my stay.

• 김 (6/5): Not bad, but not the best. - The room itself is large, spacious and nice. It's also somewhat clean. I was wondering if someone was giving a lecture or worshiping with a microphone on in the living room at 10 a.m. on Sunday morning. I wanted to sleep in, but I couldn't sleep because it was loud. First of all, the gap between the door of the room is wide, so it's not soundproof. The windows are small, so the blinds are all small, so you can see inside, even the shower. The facilities were good, but it's a hard place to sleep in because the people are playing musical instruments and singing in the living room on Sunday morning. I really want you to make sure to note that the Sunday morning worship service is held loudly in the living room at 10 a.m. on Sunday morning. I didn't know that and I was really surprised.

They wake up around 7 a.m. There is also insufficient parking space. The “breakfast” provided is not comparable to a hotel breakfast, so it’s best not to rely on it. Additionally, the cleanliness was disappointing. Our bathroom was not properly cleaned; there was hair on the floor and even on the bed sheets from previous guests. Overall, I don’t think it’s worth the money. I’ve stayed in other houses that were cheaper but much cleaner.

• Sylvie (5/5): Clean but very noisy (and potentially Sunday mass in the linving room?!) - The house is as advertised: very big, clean (except under our bed!), enough bathrooms, clean linens and towels, big kitchen that we can use (although it's lacking a bit of dishware). The location is very convient too: by the metro, close to a mall with a Fortinos for groceries. It's nice to have access to the kitchen and the big dining table. The lady who welcomed us was very nice and helpful. She shared all the information necessary for checkin, wifi, doors, kitchen, et. The add does say it is a family homestay, but we were not expecting that many children ! When we entered the house, we saw so many shoes and coats, we thought it was a daycare. 4 kids welcomed us from the living room waving at us, that was cute. What was less cute, was that the six (we think we counted six) kids started yelling at 6:30-7am.... for most of the morning, or at least until we left to go out. So take your earplugs for sure. But we can't really blame kids for being kids.... What we can blame is the sudden mass that happened on Sunday morning at 9:30am !!! In the living room, there was a man playing piano and another man singing church songs, max volume ! There also was 2 rows of empty chairs facing them... now sure if they were rehearsing for something, or if they were inviting clients to sit and participate. Regardless, it was very loud and we left the house earlier to flee the noise...

• Sooyun (5/5): Passable - Large room, ensuite washroom, luxurious house. The kids(total 4 kids, FYI) cried loudly starting from 6:30 am, and almost every 2-3 hours thereafter. It has kept me from sleeping even after the long and exhausting trip. The shower had mould, which made me uncomfortable when I used it.
• Barrett (10/5): Incredible stay at a great price. - The house was beautiful, immaculately clean, spacious, and well furnished. The hosts were a lovely family - hospitable, inviting, and welcoming. Check in was easy and the hosts were available for questions whenever I needed them. There was parking available at no extra cost. The house is steps away from a local mall which has a grocery store and a food court for several eating options. It is also very well priced. No complaints. I would not hesitate to return.

No Thanks! - It was relatively clean and walking distance to the subway stop The owner refused to just tell me how to get into the property unless I had whatsapp. Then had a list of excuses about why she was away or couldn't pick up my long distance calls. It wasn't an executive suite and DEFINITELY not a family room. With no locks on the bathroom and web cams staring at you wherever you walked, we were VERY uncomfortable. Despite a mixup with number of people staying, the host refused even giving us an extra pillow or blanket, even from the unused furniture strewn all over the new build house. Breakfast is insta soup, so we went to tim hortons around the corner. Not as advertised, not welcoming nor comfortable.
• Katlyn (7/5): Good - The host Tracy was very accommodating and great to deal with. Instructions on how to enter / where our room was was very easy to follow and navigate. Location of the house was perfect for where we needed to go. She allowed us to go hours early and drop off our luggage so we didn't have to keep it in the car while we attended a wedding which we appreciated very much. Very nice to have our own bathroom inside our room. The house itself is gorgeous! There was no TV, lounge chair, lamp or bedside tables in our massive room other than a bed and a small desk with a folding chair. We knew there would be children at some point as it was listed in the advertisement that its a families home, however we didn't expect what seemed like a daycare to be run and someone on a microphone singing and talking very loudly for a majority of the morning on a Sunday. The cleanliness of our room and bathroom also could have been better. The ad said breakfast was included, but there was no instructions on how to access it and there was nothing in the kitchen either morning to suggest that there was breakfast for the guests.
• Richelle (9/5): Superb - My daughter and I loved this home. It was beautiful. Lots of rooms were rented during our stay but it was still a peaceful and pleasantly quiet stay. I loved the free laundry access. The home owners were super nice, always friendly and helpful. Grocery shopping was a 3 min walk with a store that offered a vast variety of ready to eats foods which was perfect for us. We did have access to cook in a beautiful and well equipped kitchen but choice not to due to time spent outdoors at various activities. I was able to keep foods in the guest refrigerator which was great. I would love to visit again. Thanks for a great stay!

• Khaled (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Toronto - It was enjoyable experience staying there, Stacy the host is amazing person with excellent communication. The location is perfect which is 5 min walk to the subway and 2 min walk to big shopping center which has restaurants, cafe, super market and many shops. Also 7 min drive to Yorkdale which the biggest shopping mall in Toronto. The house is 2 floor villa and our room was in the 2nd floor. The villa is very well designed and spacious. Our room has bathroom inside, large and comfy bed and most important quiet. Room was super clean with fine toiletries and towels. Coffee and tea was available and you can use the kitchen as well. Highly recommended if you plan to go to Toronto Breakfast was chicken noodles which may not suit the taste of everyone. No issue at all, we used to go to the nearby shopping mall and enjoy the fresh bakery

• Petra (3/5): I would not recommend it. - The house is located near subway. Rooms are not sound proof, breakfast is provided-cereal and instant coffee but not milk. Shared fridge with other guests is not kept clean. The description on booking to me is not clear. I did not know that I will be living with multi-generation family and children and shared kitchen and be corrected which salt and glass I can use and which I cannot. The house is listed for sale. We had to leave early one day for showing and keep our room unlocked. The host apologized but it was very inconvenient since I was sick that day with migraine and wanted sleep in. On Sunday in the morning in the LIVING room above guest rooms there was electric piano and singing in microphone and Christian church service going on. It was the most interesting stay I ever experienced.

• Donald (7/5): This place defies all conventional expectations as you share in the domestic space of a large family - Totally unexpected. A large room in a large family home, super clean, minimal but essential furnishings, shiny new bathroom, firm beds, a writing desk and two plants. That's it. Overhead spots in a stark white room with Guantanamo intensity! In the family quarters a corner of the kitchen is reserved for guests with an array of breakfast foods and the end of the kitchen island for eating as the kids play--sometimes vigorously as the whole extended family gets on with their day and chores! Check food for expiry dates; the fresh and the stale are side by side! But on the second morning there was a mountain of fresh new pastries, including some for the road. It's all a weird arrangement, but we got into the spirit, loved it, and would go back. You're in Toronto just off the 401 for a non-Toronto price! Parking is in the driveway since there is none on the street, but cars get moved around to accommodate. The ad hoc spirit rules. Some may find the domestic arrangement rather unsettling, but it can be fun to be a passing part of it all despite the decibels, welcomed and left to your own devices at the same time. The liking and disliking will be entirely in the eye of the beholder.
