The staff was extremely friendly, attentive and polite during the whole stay, and they also arranged the airport transfer for us which made everything very easy. Breakfast was very good with plenty of options. The hotel is in a perfect spot in Hanoi, close to everything. Highly recommended! Nothing, everything was perfect!

• Lorraine (10/5): I have to mention Lena who was an outstanding support and asset such a lovely woman who looked after our arrangements an - The hotel is small and a lovely Indochine style with elegant lighting. It’s right in the old quarter in a great location for visiting the local sites. We stayed on 3 occasions and in 2 rooms, (a large double and honeymoon suite). We had a large furnished and Juliette balcony and we loved watching the Hanoi world below. Both rooms were so pretty and the beds so comfortable, showers powerful. Breakfast was very enjoyable. Nothing - But possible I would have liked a nightcap available like a gin n tonic but it wasn’t far to go get one across the street.

She did everything she could to help us when we wanted to change hotels due to construction noise. There was construction ongoing in the building right next to the hotel from early morning (before 8 am) to late in the evening. This made the stay quite unpleasant. However, the reception staff were nice and allowed us to cancel the rest of our stay without cost, so that we could move to a different hotel.

Centraal gelegen. Hotel ligt natuurlijk in het drukke old quarter, dus toch wat geluid op de slaapkamer. Maar geen last gehad om te slapen. Op zich is dit natuurlijk niet onverwacht gezien de locatie.

It was also surprisingly quiet considering it was in the middle of Hanoi so because of the above, were able to have a really comfortable sleep. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even after we had checked out, we got dropped off back at the hotel from Ha Long Bay and they very kindly let us store our suitcases with them until the evening which we really appreciated. Nothing

Lena was incredibly helpful during our stay; she arranged several transfers, found us a cruise on Ha Long Bay, and even looked after our luggage, which stayed at the hotel for several days while we were away from Hanoi. A huge thank you for your hospitality; we'll remember you fondly when we look back on our holiday in Vietnam.

The hotel is perfectly located in the Old Quarter, right in the heart of everything, yet the rooms are surprisingly quiet which is amazing considering how busy the area can be. The staff truly went above and beyond to make our stay special. They even prepared a birthday cake for our son, which was such a thoughtful surprise. They also helped us arrange all our activities including our Halong Bay tour, visit to the Incense Village, and both our hotel and airport transfers. Traveling with a child can be challenging, but they made everything so smooth and comfortable for us. Breakfast was delicious, and I loved that they served pho, such a nice touch. The amenities were excellent, and the toiletries were complete. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hanoi, especially families. We will definitely stay here again when we return.

Right in the perfect zone in old quarter. Would happily stay again! A little noisy from corridor and upstairs morning breakfast chairs scraping - easy solution is to add soft pads to the legs of the chairs? The pillows were a little too thick. We were in room 701 and you can quite loudly hear the next door neighbours pipes turn on with the shower which can be jarring.

The front desk person Chris (sp?) was so helpful, especially with local vegetarian restaurant ideas, transportation, and laundry. This was our first time to Hanoi, and staying at the Esplendor was a perfect introduction to this vibrant and fascinating city. I highly recommend!

• Tatiana (7/5): Good Location - The hotel has a great location, making it easy to explore the area and access key attractions. Additionally, the staff were very welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help, which we really appreciated. We noticed some cleanliness and comfort issues, as my pillowcase had visible makeup stains from a previous guest, which raised concerns about hygiene. Our room had no windows, leading to poor ventilation and an unpleasant smell.
