• Neville (7/5): Amazing location and balcony in the perfect location, but tired inside and in need of a new bed. - Perfect location, right in the heart of the charming old town. We loved spending time on the tiny balcony watching the world go by each evening. It was a little tired inside - could do with a little TLC. Water pressure poor, but guess that’s to be expected in such an old building. The double bed was dipping the middle, so was a quite uncomfortable.

Die Wohnung ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, für uns hat alles perfekt gepasst. In der Dusche kommt nicht so viel Wasser, aber nach unseren Erfahrungen ist das normal in Spanien.

• Natalia (10/5): Это было великолепно! - Понравилось месторасположение- это просто супер, все рядом, в пешей доступности, быстрое заселение, связь с хозяином, большое ему спасибо, нам позволили заселиться пораньше, на кухне есть все необходимое, даже минимальный набор продуктов: молоко, чай, кофе, какао, кексы, масло растительное. Квартира очень уютная , чистая и красивая, обязательно остановимся еще, рекомендую! Такого нет, ну может я бы добавила полотенце для ног, но это не критично!

• Damian (10/5): A cosy flat in the old town - A cosy flat in Bilbao's old town. We booked it because it offered good value for money. We were only there for two nights, so we mostly ate out. But I saw that the kitchen was well equipped. If you are not travelling with family or friends, it is worth remembering that the two bedrooms are connected. There is no separate door. The furniture is quite old and not to my taste, but it was clean. The beds were comfortable. Overall, it was warm, but it would be worth checking the radiator in the smaller bedroom. It was making strange noises, probably due to a problem with the electrical connection.

Muy completo en utensilios y comodidad El agua de la ducha sale sin presión y no se puede regular temperatura, más bien tirando a fría. Teniendo en cuenta el tiempo habitual de la ciudad es un inconveniente no poder ducharse en condiciones.

• Christian (8/5): - Wir konnten bereits früher in die Wohnung, was sehr hilfreich und angenehm war. In der Beschreibung war es zu lesen, dass die 3 Betten auf 2 Zimmer verteilt sind, was aber so nicht stimmt, das 3. Bett war in einem durch Vorhang getrennten Anbau.

• Jan (7/5): - - It has the atmosphere of a flat in Bilbao Old Town. It is well equipped, and quiet at night. The Interieur is funny. Bilbao is great! We liked it very much! The flat is next to the cathedral and the river with all it has. It is too expensive for what it is - it is okay, but not worth the lots of money. It is very dark, unfortunately especially at those places for sitting and eating: You can't spend an afternoon or evening there. You can sleep quite well there, but be careful! the third bed is not in an extra room, but in a kind of niche. And no one knows what the mini rococo-imitation furniture is supposed to be.

Wij hadden voor 4 nachten geboekt en twee nachten hebben wij niet goed kunnen slapen wegens lawaai en ruzie van de bovenburen die zelfs om half twee s'nacht op ons bel kwamen drukken . Dan de badkamer is klein maar de douche is echt niet goed er komt bijna geen water uit de sproeier en wat echt gevaarlijk is , de kraan wordt gloeiend heet mijn heeft zich zo bijna verbrand , ook geen badkamer mat aanwezig je moet dan een handdoek gebruiken want de vloer is zeer glad en je hebt maar een kleine en grote handdoek per persoon .

• Michael (8/5): For us it worked ok - The location was great. In the middle of the pedestrianised old town, so quiet at night and only twenty five minutes walk to the Guggenheim. The accommodation was very clean and well presented and everything worked well, but people should be aware that there are windows only at the back and front of the apartment. In the kitchen and bathroom, the windows let in only little light as the next building is very high and only about three or four metres away. At the front the windows do look out onto the street, but this is from the bedroom! So the sitting areas have no windows. The other thing is that it is misleading to describe the apartment as having two bedrooms. There is in fact only one door into a large bedroom, with another bed in a kind of annexe with only a curtain to separate the two areas. Two bedrooms means two rooms with their own doors.

• Xenia (9/5): Superb - Ideal location if you want to stay in the historical centre: a 3-4 minute walk to the metro station, located in a quiet, yet central street, and a great chocolate shop just opposite the building for coffee and traditional sweet snacks. The extra room is perfect for a child and ok for an easy-going adult. The owner provides helpful information and is really quick at answering requests. Water flow in the bathroom was rather poor but again we guess that must be the case in the old district.

• Stan (10/5): Fabulous Apartment in Casco Viejo. - The hostess was the nicest person. I didn’t meet her personally but she replied via WhatsApp. She was very helpful in every respect. The day I arrived from Santiago de Compostela. My flight was at 8:00 am. I didn’t sleep that night. The owner let me checked in before the due time. One way I had medical emergency and needed to visit an Emergency Room for advice if I can continue the trip. The owner gave me the name of a hospital and asked me if I needed a taxi and checked up on me via WhatsApp. The apartment is located in the best neighborhood. My sister and I were able to live as citizen as there were fruit stores, small meat markets, bakery, everything. This neighborhood prohibit car . There are service vehicles in the morning and noise of garbage truck but it never was a problem. The apartment is only 5 minutes away from the Metro Station. It is 2 stops to the center of the city and 4 stops to the bus station. Within zone 1 ( I think the hospital is still in zone 1 ), each ride costs something like 0.48 Euros. The owner suggested buying a transport card which can be used for multiple persons. That was a good advice. The card costs 3 euros. I paid 20 Euros for 8 nights stay and when we left, we had like 0.22 euros. The card offers a big discount so thanks to the owner for the advice. Many museums offer senior discount for those 65 and over. We got discount for the cathedral near the apartment , Guggenheim museum, etc. The kitchen is well equipped with the basic to cook meals. We cooked all our dinners there. The bathroom water is a bit slow but no problem. The lighting of the apartment is very well lit. The WiFi strong. There is a washer and a place to hang it. We did laundry a couple of times. On the day of departure, the owner offered us the option to keep our luggage at her store a few meters away which was very nice of her. The apartment is on the first floor but there is an elevator. Being an apartment, there is no housekeeping. You are responsible for throwing the garbage and washing the towels. We stayed 8 nights. I feel that if an extra set of towels are available it would be nice because there is no dryer and once the towel is washed, it won’t dried over night. I could have asked the owner about it but I didn’t. I am sure the owner will offer a solution or maybe there is a set of towels somewhere in the apartment ???? The owner operate her business well. this apartment is highly recommended. One shouldn’t be too nitpicking about little things. If you count all these good little and big things, then you realize how insignificant the little not so good things are. I stayed in an apartment in Pamplona. It was managed by a company. The response is almost nil.

The main train station and the theatre are also close. The host was very helpful and answered any of my queries immediately. The water pressure in the shower is very low. There is some outside noise when people walk home from the bars late at night.

• Dan (5/5): If your apartment only has one bedroom, please don't list it as a two bedroom apartment. - The apartment was a lovely clean apartment in the centre of Bilbao Old Town - very convenient location. The apartment is explicitly listed as a "2-bedroom apartment". It is a ONE bedroom apartment. It is a very large bedroom, with a small side dressing area with a single bed in it, but this is NOT a separate bedroom. It simply cannot be described as a second bedroom, and it is very misleading to do this. Most of the excellent reviews are from couples who have stayed here, and indeed the bedroom is large and lovely and would be a perfect room for a couple. We were NOT a couple (older uncle and young neice) and needed a two bedroom apartment for our privacy, and found this apartment very awkward and uncomfortable. I had to use the sofa bed in the cramped living room which meant my neice had to squeeze past my bed to get to the bathroom. This was a super little apartment in many ways, but it simply should not be described as a "Two Bedroom" apartment when it only has one bedroom. Couples looking for a wonderful one-bedroom apartment in Bilbao should really consider this listing. Anyone requiring two bedrooms should really consider other places. Such a shame.
