Guest Reviews
- Haydn (10/5): Outstanding for a family of 4 - Everything, the location was amazing, we loved the local wildlife that came to visit. Log fire kept the house toasty warm. Kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook like we were at home. We were very happy with our stay Nothing, everything was excellent.
- Moore (9/5): - The house and environment Shower in the ensuite was blocked - leaking into the bedroom. Need shelves in the bedrooms.
- Donna (9/5): - The house is situated in an idyllic bush location with easy walking access to the beach and services. The surrounds were beautiful, with the wallabies and pademelons on the grounds. The house was well appointed and the setup very accomodating for 3 couples. Unfortunately it rained most of the time we stayed there, so we weren't able to use the outdoor facilities but the well stocked wood heater kept us cosy and warm.
- Serene (9/5): Very excellent stay. Rated our best stay for our trip. Thank you - Very clean and comfortable property. A total of 3 double beds and 3 single beds in this property. Good for big family stay. The beddings were comfortable. Shower rooms were so clean and excellent water flow for showering. Black-out curtains were provided for all bedrooms. Well equipped kitchen with very good equipment such Electrolux refrigerator, dish washer, SMEG stove & hob, LG thin+ washing cum dryer machine.
Excellent sighting of wallabies, pademelon, bunnies. They were always around the backyard and garden.
The host, Sarah, is very attentive to the details. Small items such cling wrap, aluminum foil were provided. 👍🏻 The dining area may be very sunny without any provision of blind. Nevertheless is a small problem.

- Louise (10/5): - Gorgeous house in a beautiful bushland setting.
- Jodie (8/5): We had an enjoyable & comfortable stay - Very nice home, well equipped Probably a little on the expensive side
- Caroline (10/5): - Fantastic location.Beautifully designed and furnished house with everything you could need. Local wildlife visited each day.
- Tania (10/5): - Great place for family getaway
- Jess (10/5): - Stunning house absolutely beautiful, so quiet, beautiful scenery i will definitely be back No compliants

- Olivia (10/5): Fantastic location, beautiful home. Thank you - Perfect layout for a family. Excellent cooking facilities and we were warm in the depths of winter! Location was phenomenal so we could have quick morning swims in Adventure Bay moments away. Really not much - maybe the addition of some Tupperware/picnic basket?
- Hsiao-ling (10/5): Very pleasant. We really enjoyed our stay in the retreat. - We need to get food for breakfast before getting on the ferry to Bruny Probably the internet connection.
It’s quite poor and inconsistent.
However I understand the whole island has many blind spots which no internet service at all.
- Chantal (10/5): Stunning holiday house - Stunning house, so beautifully styled. Everything you need was there. Perfect location, and very private. We loved everything.
- Roland (10/5): Exceptional - Well equipped kitchen and very comfortable lounge. We all loved the fire pit with plenty of bench seats and space for the kids to run, play soccer or explore their way down to the beach.
Also loved being able to fit both our families with the 5 kids. The single bunk was very squeaky, maybe the bolts need tightening. We chose to put the bottom mattress on the floor which helped.
- Lynette (10/5): Quiet serenity - Best hidden gem in adventure bay
- Damian (9/5): Would definitely visit again perfect property for larger group. - Excellent location. Exactly what expected aa advertised. Great facilities had most things we needed. Only thing to improve was it needs more mirrors. Full length ones in main bedrooms would be good improvement 👌
- Shannon (10/5): We had an amazing time and will be sure to come back - Shower drain was full of hair and blocked up and nearly flooded the bathroom if we didn’t pay attention but other then that the house was perfect
- Phillip (9/5): Superb - The quietness.
It was a lovely plush house.
The aspect was beautiful.
It felt modern and clean. I needed a map (even a rough mud map) of the road access to find the property.
I didn't find time to look at the TV as we were so busy exploring the island.
The house didn't have a name. Eg Kirra or Troon.
There was nowhere easy to leave your shoes.
- Sarah (10/5): Perfection! -
- Joanna (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - The location was beautiful and private, with lots of bush surrounding the house. Loved the fire pit and visiting wallabies. We didn't see the switch for the oven until the second night so that was a little frustrating.
- Sam (9/5): Superb -
- Dylan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tham (9/5): Superb -
- Jodie (9/5): Hidden gem. Loved being so remote, but still a few minutes away from a little store. - Needs more curtains or blinds, just for night time.
- Amy (7/5): Relaxing! - The cleanliness, well kept area, modern architecture and proximity to the beach! Not enough cutlery for 10 people, basic cupboard essentials lacking
- Agnes (10/5): Perfect Bush and Beach Experience! - Everything was perfect! The location, facilities (especially the heated tiles in the bathroom 😊), and the delightful morning greetings from the wallabies. Sarah was incredibly helpful and always quick to respond to our queries. I've already started recommending this place to our friends. Nothing.
- Joanna (10/5): Idyllic private retreat only a few hundred metres from the beach in Adventure Bay - Bush setting only a few hundred metres from the beach. Privacy. Perfect set up inside and out for a group or family stay
- Caroline (10/5): Perfect for two families, great location -
- Jo-anne (8/5): Very good -
- Dianne (9/5): Superb -
- Lynne (9/5): Lovely property that lacks a few general amenities - Location was great- private but close to beach. There was no wardrobe for hanging in the main and third bedroom. Had to live out of our cases.
Kitchen had basic supply of equipment. Wrinkled melamine plates x 3 were the main serving options.
When you are in a remote location a well equipped kitchen is appreciated. This kitchen was equipped with the very basics. No containers for storage.
- Miranda (8/5): Very good -
- Lauren (10/5): Private & cute place to stay. Fire pit was a hit, nice & relaxing - It’s was so private which was lovely Bedrooms so close to lounge room
- Crosland (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sam (9/5): Well appointed accommodation in a great location - highly recommended - Clean and well appointed accommodation Beds were too soft
- Shereen (10/5): Perfect stay in Adventure Bay - - Location (right in the heart of Adventure Bay) and secluded from other neighboring properties.
- Waking up to wild wallabies roaming around the property. Amazing!
- Perfect size for families.
- Clean and tidy, with modern furniture and fittings.
- Cones with all necessary amenities including board games, DVDs, coffee machine, hairdryer etc.
- The awesome fireplace! there was even extra chopped up wood outside.
- Izaac (10/5): Beautiful family bush to beach holiday house - Beautiful holiday house that is a quick stroll to the beach and also located in the Bush. House was very clean and tidy. Our 3 children and ourselves had a wonderful stay and will be back in the near future. Only fault I can pick is the oven, had no idea how to use it. Stove worked great but oven wouldn't.
