• Andre (10/5): Cozy night in a cozy room! - - bequemes Bett - sauberer und warmer Raum - Küchenzeile mit Mikrowelle, Kühlschrank und Wasserkocher und minimalistischem self serve Frühstück (Haferflocken etc. Nicht inkludiert, wussten wir vorher nicht, ist sehr cool, das ist einfach sehr aufmerksam von den Gastgebern) - Badezimmer sauber und mit Hygieneartikel Schrank für die Gäste (falls etwas benötigt wird z.b Frauenhygiene, Pflaster, Zahnpasta, Zahnbürste etc.) - Gastgeberin war freundlich und sie gibt euch Privatsphäre (kein unnötiger socialize Talk) - Parkplätze vor der Unterkunft - WiFi war tip-top! Schuhe bitte ausziehen beim eintreten in die Unterkunft, das Zimmer ist abschließbar und die Gäste haben einen eigenen Eingang (abends bitte anschließen wenn ihr die letzten seid!) Zuerst war die Außentür verschlossen, aber die Gastgeberin war schnell da und gab uns den Schlüssel bzw. alle Instruktionen! Wir waren an dem Abend alleine dort, was super angenehm war, denn dadurch war es echt ruhig, es gibt nur ein anderes Zimmer, wir hatten eigentlich dieses gebucht, aber die Gastgeberin meinte wir können es uns aussuchen! Also ein kleines kostenloses Upgrade bekommen sozusagen :) Vor der Unterkunft gibt es Lokale/Bars und mit dem Auto seid ihr schnell in der Stadt, bei Einkaufsläden etc. Zu Fuß können wir leider nicht bewerten! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und empfehlen diese Unterkunft 100% weiter! Der Preis ist für Kanada und speziell Vancouver Island OK, für das was man hier bekommt sowieso! Wenn ihr mit dem Auto anreist, werdet langsamer wenn ihr Richtung Einfahrt kommt, sonst verpasst ihr sie und fahrt vorbei (geht ziemlich schnell 😅) Tatsächlich nicht wirklich etwas, wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit!

• Lashley (9/5): Reasonably priced - Cozy comfort rooms was a one night layover before my medical appointment and I am happy to say it was well worth it. Nice quite comfortable and relaxing. Adequate breakfast amenities a comfortable cozy place to sleep and peace of mind. Would definitely book again.

The room was not big but clean and well prepared, and the house has a calm atmosphere, perfect for rest one or two travelers.The home is well managed with clear rules, which makes the stay comfortable and respectful for everyone. I felt safe and relaxed throughout my visit. It is a great choice for people who appreciate quiet, cleanliness, and a comfortable environment. The kitchenette has everything for quick breakfast and the restaurant was just across a road, 1 minute walk. A few beautiful parks with beach just 5-15 minutes walk, the ferry 15 minutes drive. I would stay again.

• Joanne (7/5): Cozy = Very small room but clean and meets basic needs - Great place to stay for short period of time. Clean, friendly owner. They provided everything you need as far as toiletries go. They even provided a shared small frig, microwave and basic kitchen needs. Nice touch. IN the room they have fruit and snacks. Great place to stay for short period of time but it was not clear in the listing that the bathroom is shared. I was ok with that but some people may not be. The room is very small which worked for me as single person but I'd say for 2 or more you want choose a different place.

• Calderon (1/5): Unpleasant - There is a restaurant across the street You arrive hoping to rest, and you find dirty sheets with hairs. I couldn’t even tell if they were human or animal. I even removed the duvet thinking only that was dirty, but even the pillows had hair on them. There was no way to report it because they dont tell you there is absolutely no phone signal in the area, and this wasn’t clearly disclosed beforehand. The ventilation in the room is very poor and there was so much dust that I couldn’t rest because I was sneezing all night. Even the spare sheet in the closet didn’t smell clean; this place really needs to improve its hygiene standards.

Room had extra little touches like water in the room , chocolates and granola bars. Very quiet. As well as a little kitchenette in common area with coffee and cereal ect.. available at your leisure. Location was really good as we were catching the ferry the next day and it was close. Restaurant/bar across the street. Beautiful beaches and parks within 5-10km of location. Rooms were in the basement/lower level of house. A little dated, ..hello 90's my old friend...

The host is very quick to respond to our requests and accommodate our needs. The location is very accessible, short drive to must see attractions in Nanaimo.

Nous étions en transit dans la région et avons profité d’une belle randonnée au bord de l’eau et du pub délicieux à proximité. Merci Mila Jacinthe et Alain Le partage de la salle de bain avec un autre visiteur était pour nous un gros compromis connu. Mais finalement, tout s’est bien déroulé dans le respect et la discretion, car les instsllations de Mila sont parfaites.

They provide everything needed, shower products, coffee, tea, water, and even 2 cereal bars. The only downpart is the location, it's a little outside from the downtown area, and there are 2 buses going downtown, which one is not frequent.

• Va7cww (10/5): Welcoming - The hosts had clearly put a lot of care and attention into welcoming visitors. I was greeted at the door after 10:00 p.m. with a handshake and a welcome. There were several food items such as a banana, granola bar, coffees, teas and water bottles The shared bathroom was a slight inconvenience but I knew about it up front going into it. I do not fault the hosts for this. Everything was excellent.

• Lucy (9/5): Superb - Nice stay in a friendly neighbourhood with a little trail just a few streets afar. Very comfortable bed and the room was clean however a little bit small. For one night I had nothing more to ask for. The hosts were so kind, they even helped me with my baggage twice and accompanied me to the bus station. Thanks a lot for that again.
• Cherissa (2/5): Would not stay again, would not recommend. - The room is VERY small. We could practically reach the door handle from the bed. We had to move around the bed single file. We did not feel safe, some of the house accesses were exposed while the main entrance was locked with no instruction as to how to enter. There was limited-to NO cell service. The bathroom is shared. This was either missed by us or not highlighted in the description of the room, it was an unpleasant surprise. We could hear the person in the room next to us blowing their nose. The curtains were awful, the "room darkening curtain" let a ton of bright light in. There was no lamp in the room. The single bright light in the room would be sufficient if you were performing minor day surgery.

• Rookyard (7/5): This room was exactly what I needed for my weekend sleeps - I liked how clean it was. There were nice snacks and tea for me. Parking was easy. There is a huge wreath on the entrance door which got in the way every time I went in and out - but I got around it :)

Place is located in the area with poor cellular reception but the room has strong wifi!

The host did exactly what he needed to do and then let us have our space, there isn’t much I would really change honestly. We spent one night there and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Water bottles and mini chocolates were also provided.
• Sandra (9/5): A last minute booking that was of high quality. - Our hosts have a lovely home that is exceptionally clean … with thick bathrobes and towels and a VERY comfortable bed. There is a small kitchen area outside of the small bedroom in the hallway with a microwave, fridge, toaster, etc. They generously offer coffee, tea and even morning breakfast treats. The “care cupboard” in the bathroom was a delightful surprise… all the first aid items you might need unexpectedly! Very thoughtful. So much care and attention has gone into providing a lovely stay. Much appreciated! The location is a wee bit tricky as it is on a small frontage road. Make sure you check your google maps for the address and magnify it to see exactly how to find the home. Once you know, it’s easy to find!

Unfortunately perfumed fabric softener is used on the linen. I have a severe to the artificial perfumes and spent the night with a severe headache and blocked breathing.

• Donnalee (8/5): Good job of accommodating the needs of your guests,I would recommend this home stay, - Restaurant right across the street, great beach and tourist attraction 5 min away. Parking was available off the street Very Clean only 8 stairs into the level entry rooms. Easy access coffee station/fridge/microwave as well as a private coffee pot in the bedroom. Bathrobe, exra blanket and a bit of fresh fruit and snacks in the bedroom. A small table as well as a few dishes/ cutlery and games provided in the bedroom. Quiet in the bedroom. Toilet seat covers and a few personal care items in the bathroom A private bathroom My room was missing a washcloth and could have used another hand towel and a hair towel. A full length mirror in the bedroom would be helpful A nightlight would also be helpful. ( I carry my own) I would suggest a reflective white strip on the top stair leaving the entrance. ( It is hard to define if a person is wearing progressive lense glasses or bifocal glasses ) wouldn’t want anone to miss that step. 🙂 I did not see a hair blower but I may have missed it? A hook to hang the bath robe on would be very helpful in the bathroom.
