Guest Reviews
- Mikołaj (10/5): One of my greatest travels; to one of the best places on Earth. - Lucas, the owner, promised me an adventure and I had one:) The camper was clean, comfortable, worth its price. Even when something wasn't working perfectly, it was an interesting experience to find solutions. Sompasauna is a place that has really great, almost family atmosphere. Staying at campers is the best possible way to feel the whole magic of it. I've learnt more about local people, their everyday habits and culture than at any hotel ever before. I honestly recommend planning travels to Helsinki and renting a camper from Lucas. And I have to admit that his attitude was incredibly helpful in many situations. After that short trip Finland became one of my favourite places on Earth.
- Aneta (8/5): Very good - If you've never stayed in a caravan before, be prepared for an adventure. You have to do everything by yourself but don't worry, the caravan owner will show you how to do it. Also if there is any problem, you can always text him. It was difficult at the beginning but it was a fun experience. And a little advice: if it's raining during your stay, maybe don't park the caravan too close to the sea 😉
- Marc (9/5): Very nice adventure in Helsinki - The owner, Lucas, is very friendly and does everything to make you feel comfortable. He let's you choose (!!!) where to place the camper in or around Helsinki. And he knows nice spots! The bycicle, which is 'included' is ideal to explore Helsinki. The traffic is relaxed and very bycicle friendly.
Everything functions but offcourse a camper is not a luxury hotel room. The inventaris is complete and clean. You can cook, sleep, make food etc. Lucas is organizing everything well and askes during your stay several times if you are okay and need anything.
And, compared to a lot of other places in Helsinki the price is very reasonable!
If you like a little adventure this is really the perfect (movable!!!) place to stay!! Recommended. I arrived really late at night and had to find out everything myself. This was a bit difficult. But normally Lucas will go to the camper when you arrive and explaines everything. That is important. So try to arrive during daytime.
- Hilda (4/5): Check in, toilet, water, needs practice - Great location, the charger cable worked. In the check in I was waiting about 90 mins. Lucas, the host, left. It was drizzling and sunny, I burned.
The toilet was full, I mentioned it on Friday, that the toilet was getting red. Till Monday I went to the mall (Redi), Sompasauna has a toilet and found another option. I asked people, where to empty the toilet, there was no special place for that.
For taking water outdoors (please show the place exactly), I got diarrhea, in Finland seldom (I am Finnish), first time. Better drink bottle water and use it for toilet and washing. So 2 big canisters.
Lucas brought a cable for charging the mobile, this worked. The other cable was incompatible with Samsung.
The location is great, nice people. I already stayed at a camper.
