• Uliana (7/5): Nice location but beware of cockroaches - The location of the apartment is great, beautiful beaches nearby. The host was polite, even though couldn’t solve all issues. There are huge cockroaches that walk in from ground floor and terrace. The terrace was dirty when we arrived and wasn’t cleaned even though we asked for it. Only one set of keys was available(even though we asked for 2) and as the complex has many internal gates, it was impossible get in/out separately from my roomate. There was a reconstruction of the cafe nearby and it was very noisy ( drilling, hammering etc) from early morning and during the day.

• Karen (9/5): Excellent location clean and tidy when we needed anything victor was fast to act - Really close to the beach. Perfect area. Everything was perfect.
• Chris (9/5): Winter sunshine in a beautiful setting - We booked this apartment for the location, having stayed in the same vicinity many times before. Altamira has a good pool lounging area and is located a few steps away from the Playa del Duque, a beautiful sandy beach. The apartment is very spacious and well equipped with a terrace facing the ocean, ideal for lunch and enjoying the evening sunset setting. Victor is very clear with his communication, making check in and check out very easy. The minibus shuttle from the airport was a bonus A spare set of sheets and towels for stays of a week or more would be useful, although there is a washing machine which we used. A second set of keys would also help for use in and out of the outer complex
• N5Traveller (9/5): Excellent apartment in fab location - Fantastic location and comfortable apartment. The terrace is a lovely place to sit and pass the time. Pool is good and beach is close. Victor is very helpful and responds quickly. Would highly recommend staying here. Could have done with more bedding.
• Alina (7/5): - Location close to restaurants and the beach, nice terrace, apartment well equipped, and has good air conditioning . Entrance instructions were clear and the owner very helpful. Two beds, but only one set of sheets was provided, and they did not seem clean. In first day, there was a strong smell of chlorine in the apartment, which was probably from cleaning profucts. Overall, more attention is needed for the cleaning part.

Bad value for expensive price - ****NOT RECOMMENDED **** ***if you are allergic to cats, do not rent this property*** If you are interested in finding out why, please read more The listing for this property is very misleading. The pictures embellish the reality that this is a very used and not well maintained property in a building that was under constant repairs. First, we booked the property for 3 people but found sheets and towels for 2. When requesting the 3rd set we were entitled two, the proprietor asked for 20 EUR additional charge for each, plus an addition and ambiguous 100 EUR charge! But after pointing out we booked for 3, he acquiesced. Then we noticed there was 4 35 ml bottles of gel, shampoo, hand, and body lotion (why a bottle dedicated for each is a mystery). I once again had to negotiate that this is not enough shampoo and shower gel for 3 people for 7 days. His response was they provide the minimum that is required for authorities, whatever that means. He then offered that we buy our own toiletries and he would reimburse. In the end, we bought our own soap and toilet paper as one used roll was not sufficient for 3 people for 7 days! For what we paid 390 EUR per night, I think the clients earned the right not to think about basic hygiene during their stay! I asked prior to the stay by WhatsApp whether toiletries are supplied, and he confirmed, neglecting to say these are provided in homeopathic amounts (at least we had 2 bottles of lotion LOL). I asked whether we could have late checkout to compensate for these negotiations during our holiday, and he said we can book an extra 2 hours for over 110 euros! He explained that this was to compensate for an extra cleaner that would be needed to clean the room in time! Wow, can you hire me to clean a room for 50 euros an hour so I can live in beautiful Tenerife!? Among the instructions we got prior to the stay was a warning that there are stray cats roaming the grounds on the property and that they are trying to do something about this. Indeed, the lawn furniture you see invitingly in the pictures were covered with disgusting cat hair, we didn’t use them in the end! We tried to cover the furniture with the rolled up blanket seen among the listing’s pictures, placed nicely inside a basket. Like the furniture, it has seen better days as it was tattered. The proprietor is aware of the problem with the cats. The simple solution is to buy a cover to protect them and ask the tenants to place back when not in use, instead of making the unbelievable claim they are doing something about it! Like many warm places, the island is infested with stray cats. They are harmless, just a nuisance, and it is wiser for the property owners to adapt to their presence. From these experiences, I feel the proprietor is let’s say frugal. Inadequate supplies, unwillingness to pay for a furniture cover and asking for extra money for basic services. This type of behavior is not what one expects when they book something ‘luxury’. The property had stains on the walls and floors. The furniture was chipped and scratched. We were asked to pay a 300 EURO deposit, which we could choose to bypass with a 30 euro fee, the latter of which I paid as it seemed reasonable to pay 10 times less and not worry that a deposit will be returned. I imagine the proprietor has accrued a lot of money from this policy, which could be used to pay for the described damages, furniture cover, get some extra toilet paper. But alas no. The proprietor also sells real estate in the area. This property definitely is not a good advertisement for his services. Oh, did I mention that the property was being repaired in the entrance hall outside. We heard the relaxing sounds of drilling and hammering outside in the morning. Luckily they were finishing up just as we checked out LOL! We still had a great holiday despite this opposite of luxurious apartment. Nice location near the beach. Not on it. You cannot see or hear the sea or pool as claimed.
