Guest Reviews
- Stefan (2/5): Dirty at all - The money and the location, but it's not enough. You can see from the video and you can decide if it's okay for you: https://youtu.be/kMibTcsPXsU The property was dirty at all. Pet's hair all around the stair's carpet. The kitchen and the bathroom wasn't clean at all. Especially the kitchen with some smell from the fish tank which was almost empty and so dirty.
- john (5/5): -
- Joseph (1/5): i didn't sleep there thank god - fine for storing my bags and showering (if you're brave) - good location and owners picked up quickly when i called. wifi worked well. was incredibly dirty, dog hair matted on the carpet stairs, bathroom had empty toilet paper rolls sitting around, soap was watered down (yes i noticed) bathtub was gross, shower head was broken so i had to hold it by hand (although pressure and heat was good), room smelled like cigs, kitchen was disgusting, bathroom trash was overflowing. they lying in their replies saying they get it cleaned twice a week. maybe one every 10 years and that's maybe. also i found a dog hair in my bed.
- Clair (10/5): - How close it was to Archway tube station
- Camila (7/5): -
- Pablo (1/5): -
- Namrata (1/5): Not at all what I was expecting - Nothing it was very bad Everything was bad

- George (1/5): - Nothing it is a death trap It is a death trap no safety taken for people staying . I refuse to stay there. I will be looking for a refund
- Robbins (9/5): We will be back. - Incredible location, right next to the station, easy self check in with total privacy. Room was warm with a massive amount of storage, TV, fan. Wifi fantastic, kitchen had all you need in terms of facilities including laundry and a free cuppa tea. Host was polite and kind and gave us privacy. Best part of the deal was the price. I literally booked the cheapest place and it turned out perfect. The furniture etc was a bit worn but who cares at that price.
- Guest (1/5): Horrible - Dirty room, rude staff, got given a key for the front door by the guy in the shop, but he had no idea what room I was in. By chance a happened upon a guy in the kitchen that knew which room was mine, but he was rude and kept saying it was in my confirmation email and then made excuses when I showed him my confirmation email.
- Ethan (6/5): - No lock on the door from inside, had to wedge lock
- Daniel (8/5): I was pleasantly surprised. - The location was good. The host upgraded me to a better room which was much appreciated. The toilet was very hard to flush as the handle was loose and seemed ti have little effect. Please address this issue for future guests! I would have rated the stay a 10 otherwise, but this is an issue that needs to be resolved ASAP.
The property is definitely not as bad as the other reviews made it out to be and I was pleasantly surprised.
- Stephen (1/5): Very very bad - The whole thing is not fit to be called accommodation. I did pay my monry but the state of the room and all the sourrounding forced me not to stay in the room. It was full of people smoking weed. It was too bad.
- Sabrina (1/5): Glad its over - The room was mostly clean. House requires some urgent care and repair Stairway carpet was very old and worn out.
The room’s window blinds and curtains were broken and mouldy.
The metal bed frame was very noisy and loose.
Mattress was very mouldy.
Only 1 toilet to share between 5 bedrooms, very inconvenient when someone spend over an hour in the morning.
The bathroom is barely functional. Always out of toilet roll. No essential toiletries or towel hook. Floor always wet and dirty and nothing to clean with. Too many rubbish and empty containers everywhere.
A big dog stays in owners room, it’s fur was in the bedding and everywhere in the kitchen.
Kitchen was very dirty and multiple piles of dog feces right outside the kitchen window in the balcony and big flies are all over on those hips
- Andrew (1/5): I would not recommend this venue. - There was nothing I can say. Poor maintenance (in room and shared bathroom). Poor cleanliness. Awkward sharing of communal space; for example, kitchen full of unwashed dishes. Bathroom toilet and shower broken.
- Anonymous (1/5): wouldn’t recommend - wasn’t anything like the pictures, not clean nor homely. made out to have a lovely flat but all you get is just a small box room. bathroom is dirty and broken
- Vicky (1/5): Awful - Nothing it was awful, didnt feel safe, some one walked into my room, random man walking around in pants
No locks on the doors, smelt of smoke, dirty, bathroom filthy - feaces left in toilet, broken window so it couldnt be shut, soneone walkes into our room
- Marilia (1/5): Bad - nothing It was dirty, especially the bathroom, but the real problem has been the male owner refusing to help the customer (a young girl) find a safe accommodation until the middle of the night since her room could NOT be locked, and refused to talk further with her only insisting that the place (share house with the owner living in there) was safe, as if his word could count against the safety of a young girl. Absolutely unacceptable.
- Khudabakhsh (5/5): Passable -
- Jekaterina (1/5): If you want to experience living in a favela, this is the place. - N/a There were no towels, no hot water, and the shower was broken and extremely dirty. The toilet seat was broken, and everything in the apartment was falling apart. The kitchen sink was full of dirty dishes.
There was even a dead fish tank in the kitchen — no fish could survive in that level of filth. Additionally, a poor dog lives in the apartment, most likely left alone behind closed doors for long periods.
This was a shocking experience. No person or animal should have to stay in a place like this.
- Soumil (1/5): Bad -
- Johnny (8/5): Very good -
- Charvátová (5/5): It was okay overall for three day stay. - Location The bathroom was not comfortable to use at all, toliet paper was missing, the place also did not smell that good
- Oliver (1/5): Bad - The kitchen seemed decent enough but we didn't use it as we feared it would be as rickety as the rest of the place, so we decided to eat out. The bedroom wasn't the one shown in the multiple pictures, there was dog poo on the floor on the patio and it stank, the shower was out of order, the toilet wouldn't flush properly, noisy dog in next door flat, smell of smoke and cannabis everywhere, electric socket hanging off the wall, shower and bathroom fixtures hanging off the wall, we weren't given any WiFi instructions, the door lock was just a padlock on the outside with a flimsy hinge affair and not very safe, I appreciate it's cheap but I expected at least something better than something falling apart.
- Leighton (3/5): Ok but tired and broken - Location was good - super close to the tube. I don't want to list everything but it was a little disappointing. It was clean but everything is tired or broken. It just needs a little care, toilet seat broken, shower cubicle out of order, lock on my door broken (as a solo traveller this is not good), bed really uncomfortable. For one night it was just about fine, I won't be rushing back book again.
- Aggarwal (6/5): Pleasant -
- Claire (1/5): Avoid. - Nothing. Was unable to access the room due to a padlock on the door and no response from the host.
- Zaxo (9/5): Superb - Everything was very good
- Orsolya (9/5): Superb -
- Jocelyn (1/5): Bad -
- Georgia (1/5): Unsafe and unhygienic - Nothing aside from proximity to work Everything it felt unsafe and dirty and I don’t think it should be on booking.com. I didn’t stay my second night it was that bad.
- Claudia (5/5): Could not sleep… - Convenient location for the purpose of the stay.
Cordial and helpful contact people. Discrete guests. Property somewhat dilapidated and unkempt. Cleanliness issues, particularly in the common spaces.
Tiny single room. Unable to fall sleep. Traffic and street noise coming from open window, didn’t help; the window had to remain open due to heatwave. No fan available.
- Michelle (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (5/5): Price good, location good. Otherwise a bit of a letdown - Price and location Bit run down. Dog poo all over outside space
- Kinga (4/5): Not worth the price or the stress - location We didn’t expect much for £50 – just a clean bed for one night. Unfortunately, what we got was far worse than anything we’ve experienced before.
First of all, the front door to the building was wide open – anyone from the street could walk in. There is no reception, no signage, no instructions. We only got the key by chance from a man working in the shop downstairs after asking where to go - and he handed it over without checking our ID or anything. The accommodation door was already unlocked when we arrived.
The room smelled bad immediately. The bedding was covered in dog hair, and there was no way to air out the room – the only window was locked and led directly into a kitchen. We only realized that later at night, when someone was walking around with dogs until 3AM, making the floors creak loudly. When they turned on the kitchen light, our room lit up too. The walls were paper-thin – we heard everything from both the street and inside the property. We could also smell weed coming into our room at night. I had to wear headphones just to fall asleep.
The room was dirty, and during the night the power outlets stopped working – in the morning we realized none of our devices had charged. There were no towels, even though they were listed in the description.
The shared bathroom was in poor condition – dirty, with an out-of-service shower, and a broken bathtub showerhead with no pressure, leaking everywhere.
Even if your expectations are low and you only need a place to sleep, this might still disappoint you. I cannot recommend this place to anyone.
- Anonymous (1/5): Stay well away! this is a scam! - Disgusting from A to Z. Room had not been cleaned in a very long time. Odd furniture making the room look like a junk store. There were hairs , stains on the floor, cobwebs above the bed. The bed was not changed after the previous person! No towel. Shower was hideously dirty. Bathroom dirty. Same with kitchen. I did not want to touch anything. Diego promised that he will clean the room and change the bedsheets in about 3 hours time. When he did arrive, he just hid in his room and stopped pickong up my calls. I could not go to sleep in this horror and filth, bed snelling of someone's else's body odour! I booked and stated at another hotel. This is outrages. I have never heard if anyone doing this sort of things.
- Anonymous (3/5): Wasn.t a nice place,was happy when we left - Was close to venue It was unclean,shower broken,quite smelly,dodgy plug shockets,tv didn.t work
- Anonymous (1/5): Bad - I wasn't sent full address and access information.
I tried to contact host before leaving for a funeral in London. I kept checking. but no response by the time I arrived in London. I was very anxious as I was stranded in London and got no response from the host! My daughter also tried to contact the host. the information was eventually sent to her 20 minutes later and not to me!, by which time I had booked alternative accomodation . I want my money back
- Samuel (1/5): Disgusting 🤢 - The location Everything from the flys the stench the dirt the broken shower the unclean room that wasn't ready at 4pm
It was trainspotting in archway once I seen in the owners room ,he left the door open an what I witnessed was crazy,,I reread the reviews when I left thinking I must not have or misread but the reviews are fine so I'm not sure what but I'm as honest as the day is light an I travel a lot an I'm easy pleased I dint expect grandeur or perfection but I do expect cleanliness ,we were in a room with no window as it was onto the kitchen that didn't open so we sheltered in a dirty room with thr kitchen lights in an off until 3 I'm morning a dog barking an every floor board that creaked ,outside was discussing the stench was awfull ,it was just horrendous, no shower that worked sn it was manky ,no towels were provided, no WiFi code was given, honestly it was bad the description was the whole opposite it was not clean an homely
- Joseph (1/5): Bad -
- Melissa (1/5): Sleep? What even is that?! - The owner seemed lovely to talk to so thought was going to be a good stay. Room wasnt ready by check in, no bedding on.
Place stunk of weed on arrival.
Dog poo in garden.
Dog barking and running around all night, assumed friendly but barked at us and my daughter was on crutches so was worried about being knocked over.
No mention of a dog and was worried incase not friendly as it roamed. Seems we shared the kitchen, garden and bathroom with the owners who were in a room against our bedroom, and had to pass our room to go to the kitchen, toilet or garden.
Loud music, voices, banging around, doors opening and closing, and the obvious noises we didnt want to hear ALL night. Got no sleep.
Had my daughter with me, awkward and embarrassing.
Def wont be going back!
- Luann (3/5): Disappointing. - Nothing Everything, the place is very untidy, the bathroom the house the kitchen 🙄🙄🙄 by the time you enter the house you're smelling the scent of dog ,,,, disgusting 🤢 couldn't even take a bath in the bathroom it was disgusting.
- Bridget (2/5): Very poor - Nothing The room was shabby, television didn't work. There were flies in the kitchen, there was dogs poo outside the kitchen door. There was no toilet paper in the toilet. There dogs barking in the room next door. It was disgusting. I didn't stay there the second night.
- Sampath (4/5): Things to improve. - It's great location It is unclean and unhygienic. The kitchen and the washroom was not cleaned for ages. There are 2 dogs and their fur is everywhere.
The care taker is flexible and friendly.
- Jayden (1/5): Bad -
- A (10/5): Exceptional -
- Spritc (1/5): Always double-check, even on Booking.com they cheat - nothing All was confirmed, money was paid and in the end, we were told, that they did not rent an apartment. We were just left on the street. The owner said, that he didn't know anything, just closed the door.
- Robert (1/5): For refugees only. - Leaving. Staying.
- Ashley (9/5): Superb -
- Roop (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marley (5/5): Passable -
- Younes (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joe (2/5): Very poor - Nice location
- Joseph (7/5): Fair for price - Easy Tv didn’t work
- Sanni (8/5): Very good -
- Tom (8/5): Very good -
- Money (10/5): Excellent I love it - Everything Nothing
- Analysis (10/5): Exceptional - Diego the host was wonderful, very kind, helpful and even accomodating of our request to help keep our bags for some extra hours!
The location was great too with restaurants and cafes just a stone throw away. Great value for money!
- Litchidu54 (10/5): Exceptional - Diego and his very nice ''husky receptionist'' 🙂🐶are the best hosts ever. Smiling, helpful.... We'll come back!
My best friend and I enjoyed the location, close to all practical shops at all times, close to the underground. A nice area! No noise at night. This stop on the northen line is a bit far from the center but it is worth discovering, a multicultural London, a haunted pub, Highgate Cemetery, a wonderful park....
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marlborored (10/5): Price-Quality - The price is fully consistent with the quality, an excellent and friendly owner, of course, his beautiful and calm husky. Just please add more toilet rolls, of course it would be lovely to make better sockets
- Sumaiya (4/5): Disappointing -
- Lauren (10/5): Room was clean! Shower/bath available, host very friendly, easy to find and access, :) - Clean, pleasant, lots of amenities Two flights of stairs to my room but I had a case the size of a house so my own fault.
- Benjamin (8/5): Very good -
- Mathew (9/5): Superb -
- Kelvin (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lani (8/5): Very good - The owners husky is so cute!! Favourite part of the stay😂 everyone’s really nice, the people who were staying at the same time as my friend and I were friendly and so were the staff. The kettle needs descaling.
- Grace (4/5): A good place to stay if you were getting your head down, and the price was unbelievable. - Property was not easy to find, number not on the front door. The light in the stairs was flickering. The bathroom was the cleanest.
- Saffron (6/5): Cheap and did the job - nice host - The host was really nice and helpful It was just an average property but it was cheap for London so got what you excepted! Although I do think the bathroom could of been a little cleaner and we couldn’t find a bin anywhere in the rooms/bathroom, could be wrong though and might not of found it
- Janusz (1/5): These types of apartments or rooms for rent should not be listed on booking because not every guest can check the apartm - The one positive thing about the room I rented was a good location, close to the undergrand, so you could quickly get to the center of London and have access to shops, cafes and restaurants. which were within 5 minutes of my Property. The apartment was very dirty, the room was very small, not 20 m2 as described, but large enough to accommodate a bed and a small cabinet with a TV on it. The kitchen was large, but they also remember the 1980s, a small terrace where you could eat breakfast or smoke cigarettes, but everything looked hideous. The bathroom was dirty and moldy. Heavy walls and ceiling meant that all the noise came from other rooms, which made it difficult to fall asleep. I was supposed to live there for five nights, but I gave up after the first night when I realized how bad the living conditions were. Overall, I don't recommend it. this apartment.
- Alonso (2/5): Host friendly, bathroom dirty - Location cleanliness
- Martins (8/5): Very good - The owner very helpfull
- Abiodun (6/5): Pleasant -
- Patricia (4/5): Disappointing - The location was good, near shops and transport Mould in bathroom sometimes no paper for toilet. Stairs dirty no coffee facilities other than shared kitchen. Doors locked with padlock when you are out and a bolt when in. Pictures taken a long time ago, don't show the deterioration that has occurred. For the money a great disappointment therefore I cancelled second booking.
- Dominika (7/5): Overall what I was expecting and happy with my stay:-) - Great value for money, for this price I was shocked that the flat was just 2 minutes from Archway station!
The bed very comfy, there were clean towels provided.
The host super friendly and helpful. Key from a lockbox - super convenient. We had a very quiet room ( window to the kitchen, not to the street). The common areas could use some extra cleaning care to be more welcoming and cosy.
- Teoh (8/5): Overall love the apartment nesr Archway station but the room is small for a big bed, i can’t place properly my luggage, - Location near to London Bridge and Emmirate stadium
And near convenience store Small space but for single travellers
Kitchen set need to be tidy up and clean
- Elenacupidio (8/5): Very good -
- Emily (5/5): Passable -
- Puckett (9/5): A stopover - Great location very close to Archway tube station, fantastic host, friendly and accommodating, great energy of the place, nice terrace although the floor was wet, it didn't matter. Great facilities in the kitchen. Possibly a tad little heating as it was cold although it's June, the weather is still playing up.
- Holly (8/5): Very good - The room was perfect, so clean and very comfortable. Diego is really nice and he has a lovely husky who is so cute and friendly. The house is in a great location and has lots of space including a big kitchen and roof terrace. I will definitely return!
- Kaitlin (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sue (3/5): Cheap - Great location near where I needed to be Near shops on bus route and near tube Well I’ve got to be honest it was cheap for London so I should of known but I gave it a try as all I needed was place to stay whilst worked and though basic my room was fine , but to describe it as beautiful and homely is not really true . It’s old and worn and I’m sorry dirty . The windows are rotten and as your on a Main Street so noisey I mean all night traffic , police sirens , really hard to sleep no especially with 1 flat pillow . Bedding was clean new towel as still had tag on so that was fine . Bathroom shared basic but ok , kitchen well I’m sorry first day I went down to get a cup was messy and ants were on the side so to be truthful all I did was eat and sleep in my room think if your young want somewhere cheap not looking to hard at things and don’t mind noise this ideal for us older ones maybe not so
- Olena (10/5): All is nice with a good price! - Very good owner Diego with a nice dog!
We called at morning for asking to leave our baggage before check-in and he even opened our room at noon instead 4 p.m. and was helpful and friendly.
The room was enough comfortable, very safe and calm for restful time.
Good kitchen for cooking with big fridge, free cafe, tea, sugar and salt etc. We spent time in the kitchen also after check-out.
Location is perfect near tube station Archway and 1 minute walk to the cheap supermarket Aldi.
We wish all the best for Diego and will return here next time.
Highly recommend this accommodation! Nothing serious...
At first moment we found only hot water in shower but Diego easily helped us with a special setting.
- Trevor (7/5): Good - I urgently needed somewhere to lay my head for the night before a journey on Eurostar and this fitted the bill excellently! I was walking into St Pancras within 15 minutes of my leaving in the morning. The bed was very comfortable and the host very tolerant and helpful in the face of my habit of leaving things behind! The stairs are steep!
- Arturas (8/5): Very good -
- Joanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (7/5): Good - very nice view, close to the tube station, good communication with the friendly host, cute dog the toilet still needs to be fixed/overhauled, it works too unreliably and flushes weakly; busy noisy street at night
- David (7/5): Good - Was close to train stations. Was only a one night stay and after checking in did not get back till late so not enough time spent there to evaluate.
- Joseph (7/5): Good - Nice friendly owner and dog No inner lock on bedroom door
- Emy (5/5): It'll do in a pinch - Useful location. Shared bathroom is not clean! And there was no way to access the third floor room other than stairs. Not ideal with arthritis. Room is not lockable from the inside, so you sleep with one eye open.
- Maria (4/5): Disappointing -
- Vanessa (1/5): Avoid this place -
- Allaster (7/5): Good -
- Dorotea (4/5): Great host but sketchy place overall - Very responsive host, they also allowed us to store the luggage before check in. Location is great, easily accessible by bus. Bedroom door could not be locked from the inside. Access to the facilities (bathroom, kitchen) was unclear. Lots of coming and going throughout the night. At some point there was a free roaming dog outside our room with no warning about it. Overall sketchy feeling, though not too untypical for London. The address indicated in the listing is not 100% accurate (same street but around 25 min from where indicated).
- Chloe (8/5): Very good - great value for money, close to station, lovely host and great wifi poor ventilation in rooms so a bit stuffy
