• José Jorge (8/5): Would definitely stay here again - Amazing Staff, perfect location and great value. Breakfast is a typical Egyptian breakfast so no continental breakfast but still plenty of food. Everything is very clean and the free wifi was fast enough for anything we needed Noise, being in such central place you have movement all night long and the windows could do a better job

• Anas (5/5): Good in Alternative Hotel (Shams Hotel) - My reservation included a complimentary airport pickup. The hotel confirmed this service via WhatsApp before my arrival in Cairo and informed me that the driver would be waiting at the airport exit holding a sign with the hotel’s name. However, when I arrived at Cairo Airport, there was no driver waiting, and no one responded to my WhatsApp messages. As a result, I had to take a taxi to the hotel at my own expense. Upon arrival, I found that the hotel was located in an old building, on a damaged street, with a very old and unsafe elevator. The receptionist informed me that there were no available rooms and offered to show me alternative hotels nearby. Using my taxi, we first visited another hotel. Although it was nice, the rooms were very small, so I decided not to stay there. We then went to another hotel, Shams Hotel, which was very nice, had a good location, friendly staff, and offered the same rate as my original reservation. I decided to stay there. To be fair, the original property did its best to help me find alternative accommodation. However, I had to cover the taxi expenses from the airport to the city, as well as transportation between the different hotels. My advice to future guests is to make sure that the property provides clear photos of the hotel exterior and the surrounding street before confirming your reservation.

Özellikle Mahi ve Ammar ile diğer çalışanlara çok teşekkür ederim. Havaalanından alıp bıraktılar ve turlar konusunda da çok yardımcı oldular. Otelden geç ayrılmamızı ve valizleri bırakmamızı sorun etmediler. Otele ilk girişte toprak yol eski ve bakımsız izlenimi veriyor. Odada birkaç sivrisinek vardı. Banyoda demir aksamlar paslanmış. Ancak diğer olumlu yönleri sayesinde önemsiz kalıyor.

• Lisa (8/5): - The hotel is in walking distance to downtown Cairo near Talaat Harb Square. Plenty of shops, restaurants/fast food are close by. The room itself is very comfortable and spacious for solo travelers, couples, even a family of 3 (small child) is suitable for the room i stayed in as the bed is king size. Staff is friendly and helpful, if you need extra towels or toilet paper they are happy to provide more. Breakfast was included, not your typical open buffet style. You are actually served by the lady who prepares/cooks the food and its delicious. Well deserving of a tip. The view is obstructed by scaffolding so you can't see the building sign on the outside and same with the mosque and church. There's construction being done on the side road leading to the hotel...you're walking on dirt and sand...very dusty. Upon arrival, there were no towels in the bathroom, had to ask. The soap/shampoo/shower gel dispenser holder looked rusty 😳...needs to be replaced. The room is nice but missing a full length mirror, would be nice while getting dressed. Just a suggestion!

• Pasquale (1/5): Tornerò sicuramente al cairo ma non in questo hotel - La posizione molto buona lo staff molto gentile e accogliente Non è da me lasciare brutte recensioni ma Purtroppo la mia esperienza in questo hotel è stata molto deludente. Al nostro arrivo la camera per quattro persone che avevamo prenotato non era disponibile ci hanno dato una tripla aggiungendo una brandina alla quale mancavano le lenzuola, non c’era acqua disponibile in camera per lavarci più volte durante il nostro soggiorno abbiamo dovuto sollecitare la chiamata di un tecnico che riparasse quello che loro definivano un guasto momentaneo ripetutosi in più occasioni durante il soggiorno , le lenzuola non sono mai state cambiate e la pulizia della stanza è stata del tutto trascurata mancava anche la carta igienica per il bagno. Inoltre, la colazione era scarna e molto diversa rispetto a quanto descritto nelle informazioni dell’hotel . Un peccato dato che l’hotel è posizionato in una buona posizione e lo staff è veramente gentile, mi aspettavo un livello di servizio decisamente migliore.

• angel manuel (7/5): Muy buena ubicación para conocer el pulso de la ciudad, más para viajeros que para un turistas - La ubicación es excelente, en el centro de la ciudad, cerca de la Plaza Tahir y del río Nilo y su margen de oferta turística. Está al lado de la plaza Talaat Harb Squar, en una travesía enfrente de una iglesia y una mezquita, a dos pasos de diferentes restaurantes, como el Koshary Abu Tariq muy popular entre españoles; también cerca del viejo museo y de la Torre de El Cairo -andando 15-25 min-. y para las noches, un paseo de 10 min por hasta una zona de terrazas de la calle Mohammed Bek Al Alfi donde tomarte algo -si quieres cerveza, pídela, si no la tienen te la consiguen... (175libras/aprox3€) El servicio de habitaciones no cumple los estándares europeos: la limpieza no se realiza con regularidad ni profesionalidad, pues tienes que pedir un segundo juego de toallas para 2ª persona, papel de servicio, un pequeño charco de agua es constante en el servicio por fuga de cañerías que no solucionan, falta de alfombrilla para la ducha, zapatillas de baño que se ven usadas... Los parámetros egipcios no son los nuestros, pero lo ves en todo... No obstante, visto lo visto, la relación calidad/precio está ajustada.

El hotel queda en el tercer piso de un edificio muy antiguo, cuya entrada no es muy acogedora. La verdad me asuste un poco cuando llegue, pero una vez subí al tercer piso y llegué al hotel me tranquilize.

• Shahbeana (6/5): Great location only positive!! - Location was perfect. Close to El -Tahrir square, metro and 30 min walk to market. Room was spacious and shower was good. Lift in working order. Breakfast was delicious and restaurant staff very friendly. Upon arrival staff were very friendly, however this very quickly changed when they realised we had pre-booked attractions. Before travel I had customised the room to have 1 double bed, but this had been ignored and the room had 3 single beds, after requesting on 4 different occasions to have a double bed this still was not done and excuses were made why it couldn’t be done today!! So gave up asking. The coffee/tea maker is just a kettle with no cups or sachets. The room was cleaned on request rather than the advertised daily housekeeping. The room was clean on the surface however under the covers the mattresses were heavily stained.

• Jaquelina (7/5): Good option for few days - At first, you're startled by the entrance and think it's a scam. The building is under construction, and nothing suggests it's the hotel seen in the pictures. Upon ascending in the rather quirky elevator, you'll find the hotel as you thought it would be. Clean and the rooms quite spacious and comfortable. The entrance is quite sinister. And its very noisy due to the construction work on the building.

We have all we need: comfortable beds, air conditioning, hot water and wifi. The staff was very polite and helped us to get to the airport on time. • Roman (7/5): Bene, ma si potrebbe fare meglio. - Complessivamente bene. La colazione era buona e sostanziosa, le signore in cucina molto gentili e disponibili, così come tutto lo staff. La struttura interna dell'hotel è abbastanza recente e rinnovata, cosa che non si può dire del palazzo e l'ingresso del condominio (l'hotel si trova al terzo piano del palazzo, ed è fornito di ascensore). La posizione è buona, abbastanza centrale e tranquilla (per gli standard egiziani a Cairo). Forse manca un po' di cura al dettaglio: al check-in nella stanza mancavano gli asciugamani e bicchiere per gli spazzolini, la carta igienica era di bassa qualità e finiva dopo pochi strappi (la dovevamo sempre chiedere), la doccia giù non filtrava bene l'acqua ecc. La connessione WiFi non era stabile, si disconnetteva in continuazione. Inoltre, ho sostenuto il 2.5% di commissioni per la transazione con carta (cosa non preventivata al momento della prenotazione), in totale circa 10€ in più sul totale dovuto.

• Marcin (1/5): Hotel SCAM! - I only liked the fact me and my partner had somewhere to stay after getting there in the middle of the night We requested pick up from the airport. Driver took us to where hotel was to tell us that it is closed!!! He let me talk to someone on the phone and I had no choice but to go with the driver to another hotel!!! Hotel probably is still closed with scaffolding around it!!

• Piotr (1/5): - This was the worst possible hotel choice in all of Cairo. After paying for the hotel, I was transferred to another hotel nearby. The hotel was dingy and looked terrible. The room amenities left much to be desired. The hotel staff were rude, overbearing, and pressured me to pay for optional excursions and everything in cash. A terrible experience, I do not recommend it. The breakfast at the hotel I was transferred to was terrible. I was also charged for it, even though I had already paid for it when booking. The Wi-Fi was terrible—you couldn't use the internet at all and had to buy a SIM card. The rooms weren't cleaned daily. Furthermore, the photos of the hotel view were downloaded from the internet—there are no views of the pyramids. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STAY.

• 범녕 (1/5): 최악입니다. - 위치하나 보고 예약했는데 도착해서 체크인하려니 당신이 부킹닷컴 지니어스 등급이라 숙소를 업그레이드 해준다며 다른 호텔로 일방적으로 이동시킵니다. 어떠한 사전동의도 없었고, 취소시 환불불가로 예약이 되어있었기에 취소도 불가능한 어처구니 없는 상황이었네요. 어쩔 수 없이 제돈 다주고 소개시켜주는 다른 호텔에서 묵었는데 형편없었습니다. 확인해보니 호텔측에서 오버부킹해놓고 자리 없으니 이동시켰던데, 여행 마지막 날 조졌네요. 리셉션 직원은 이에 대해 어떠한 사과도 없었습니다. 이딴식으로 장사하지 마세요.

L’edificio da fuori è in ristrutturazione (più di metà è concluso), ma gli interni sono a dir poco fatiscenti: il palazzo è sporco e completamente abbandonato a se stesso. Quando si arriva al terzo piano l’albergo invece è tutt’altro,per fortuna, però l’impatto nel palazzo non è dei migliori. Poca disponibilità nell’avere asciugamani (nella stanza ne abbiamo trovato solo uno, e due giorni dopo a seguito di pulizia di camera non ne avevano messo nessuno) La mattina all’alba si sente il megafono della moschea, può svegliare i turisti non abituati a suoni così forti
