• Georg (8/5): Schöner ruhiger Aufenthalt auf Elephantine/Assuan - Wir hatten nur die Unterkunft gemietet, Frühstücken konnte man in der Nähe. Der junge Mann, der das Gästehaus für seinen Cousin gemanagt hat, war sehr freundlich und clever. Er hat auch Ausflüge für uns organisiert und dafür sehr zuverlässige Fahrer ausgesucht zu fairen Preisen. Alles war wunderbar.
• Krzysztof (10/5): Spędziliśmy cudownych sześć dni. - Obiekt znajduje się na wyspie Elefantyna, co zapewnia spokój i ciszę oraz wyjątkowy klimat. Pokój średniej wielkości, jednak trochę musieliśmy wykazać się kreatywnością w rozlokowaniu naszych rzeczy. Pokój, pościel i łazienka - czyste. Łóżka bardzo wygodne, twarde materace. Pokój wyposażony w klimatyzację, wiatrak, lodówkę i czajnik. Gospodarz z rodziną mieszka na dole i w razie potrzeby służy pomocą. Śniadania były poza obiektem. W okolicy jest kilka restauracji, w tym jedna (bardzo dobra) w budynku obok. Dużym atutem jest wsparcie w organizacji transportu i wycieczek ze strony Baky-ego. Oferowane usługi są na wysokim poziomie, dostosowane do potrzeb i w dobrych cenach. Spędziliśmy cudownych sześć dni.

• Emeline ANTOINE (10/5): - Excellent séjour à King Mina. La chambre est confortable, climatisation fonctionnelle, petit frigo. Belle vue au rooftop. Calme. Plusieurs restaurant aux alentours. Proche du ferry public (5-10mn à pied, 15 LE). Baky, le gérant, est très sympa et arrangeant. Propositions d'excursions et transports. Nous sommes arrivés de la gare et avons pris taxi + bateau privé pour rejoindre directement l'hôtel pour 6$ et retour offert. Nous recommandons car l'hôtel peut être difficile à trouver autrement, et le prix nous semble très correct pour plus de simplicité. Nous avons aussi pris sur place 3 excursions organisés par Baky et son équipe de qualité (Abu Simbel, Philae et un tour privé de la côte ouest). L'organisation et communication est fluide. Nous recommandons fortement
• Simon (8/5): Bon séjour - On a apprécié d'être accueilli à 00h30 sur la rive d'Assouan pour nous amener en bateau sur l'île elephantine. Les chambres sont propres, literie confortable, un joli rooftop avec accès à des bouteilles d'eau. Prise en charge des bagages le matin du départ au petit déjeuner. Petit déjeuner correct pour 3€/personne à 300m de la guest house. Personnel très aimable et attentionné. Peut être un petit rafraîchissement (décoratif des sanitaires) mais franchement c'est propre.
• Sebastien (10/5): Havre de paix et de bons plats sur l'île Elephantine - Notre séjour à Assouan n'aurait pas été le même sans la rencontre et l'hospitalité d'Oussama. Les petits déjeuners sont copieux et parfaits pour commencer une journée de découverte, les dîners sont délicieux et variés. Oussama partage également l'histoire et la culture nubienne. Et que dire de la vue sur le Nil et les dunes !

• safiya (9/5): Special memories created - The staff at King Mina were very friendly & helpful. Any activities or transfers that we arranged through them were very good value & went smoothly. There was some construction being carried out next door, but on the whole, the location is quiet & the views from our terrace were superb. We were very glad we decided to stay on this side of the island & not at the end nearer the public ferry. There are numerous restaurants very close by & we especially recommend the closest one, Nuba Waidi restaurant & cafe. We were sad when our time staying at King Mina was over & wish we could have stayed there for even more days There were a few minor niggles, but nothing that spoiled our stay & when in Egypt it's better not to expect perfection & go with the flow

• Shawna (8/5): Excellent customer service with a decent home stay. - The stellar aspect of this property was the service from Baky who went above and beyond with organizing boat pick ups, a trip to the Nubian village and the beach, even accompanying me to the best restaurants on the island. The room was simple, but did have air conditioning and a window that opened for fresh air. Also hot water in the shower and a mini fridge. The space could use some attention. It’s a little small and the Wi-Fi never did work properly for me even when I was connected. There were no hangers in the closet and there was an ant infestation. The bed was quite hard and I wasn’t sure if the bedspread was clean.
• Victoria (10/5): Гостевой дом в нубийском стиле с шикарным видом на голубой Нил - Выбрали это жилье из любопытства - хотелось пожить в традиционном нубийском доме, раз уж мы в Нубии. Было здорово, очень колоритно! Удобные кровати, довольно большой номер, есть кондиционер, но мы его не включали, т.к. не было необходимости. Вай-фай работал. Гостевой дом маленький и уютный - всего 3 номера. Перед ними терраса с обалденным видом на Нил - завтракали и ужинали там. Все как на фото. Очень любезный и дружелюбный хозяин Осама, который от души старался, чтобы нам было хорошо, кормил нас потрясающими ужинами в национальном стиле, даже нильского окуня попробовали. Завтрак тоже был в виде национальной кухни, так что у нас было полное погружение)) Осама организовал нам по вполне умеренным ценам трансфер с вокзала и в аэропорт (мы летали в Абу-Симбел), а также водителя в Луксор, куда мы двинулись дальше. Также ездили с его водителем на Асуанскую плотину и остров Филе. Гостевой дом находится в нубийской деревне, вокруг обычная жизнь, очень самобытная - непривычно для нас, жителей мегаполиса. До причала паромов на "большую землю" идти через деревню минут 7 (стоимость парома 15 фунтов с человека, ходят часто и допоздна) Внизу течет голубой Нил, в Асуане он очень красивый, вода чистая, мы даже искупались, т.к. днем было жарко, но холодная) В городе погуляли на набережной, посмотрели местный христианский собор, зашли в знаменитый отель Олд Катаракт - очень красиво, особенно вечером. В целом своим выбором очень довольны, все понравилось, впечатлений масса - мы здесь были впервые, надеюсь, что получится приехать еще - не все успели посмотреть! 2 дня очень мало. Не хватало большого зеркала - девочкам без него тяжело) Оно как раз на стену хорошо впишется. И пару плечиков для одежды не помешало бы
• Letizia (9/5): - The location is out of the huddle and bustle of the city center, that can be reached with a quick boat crossing ride. The rooms are clean, spacious and new. The bathroom is tiny but with hot and good pressure of water. The view from the terrace is amazing. The contact via whatsapp with the manager has been smooth he arranged breakfast for us. Overall the quality/price ratio is great.
• Yi-Jui (10/5): - I highly recommend this hotel. The owner was incredibly helpful. After visiting the temple, we took a boat back through the gate. Suddenly, I realized my phone was missing. Just a minute earlier, I had been sharing photos on the boat. Back at the hotel, I used my iPad to check Find My iPhone. After hearing what happened, the hotel owner immediately drove me to the location shown on the map. Honestly, I didn’t expect to get it back—I even thought it might be a good excuse to buy a new phone. The location pointed to a four-story apartment building. The hotel owner called some friends, and local residents also joined the search. Soon more than ten people were helping me look for my phone. After about half an hour, there was still no result, but the Find My location updated right when we arrived, making everyone believe the phone was inside the building. Since it was a private residence, the hotel owner called the local Egyptian police. To my surprise, two police cars arrived, and the officers were carrying assault rifles. Soon the whole neighborhood gathered. The police wanted to search the building, but the residents strongly objected, saying there was no thief there. Around thirty people were arguing and pushing each other, and the situation looked tense. After more than an hour of chaos, just when I was about to give up, the hotel owner told me the police might still recover the phone—and they actually did. Later I learned that they contacted someone locally and said they only wanted the phone back without punishing anyone. In the end, a boy came forward and said he had found it on the ground nearby. That evening, the hotel owner’s friend invited us to his home for iftar during Ramadan. From sunrise to sunset, people don’t even drink water. Like many Middle Eastern homes, the outside looked ordinary, but the inside was beautifully decorated and full of character.

• Yoko (10/5): 島とボートの滞在が楽しいアスワンの静かな宿 - 屋上からの砂漠の景色とナイルの風は最高に気持ち良かった。 また、Bakyはアスワンからアブシンベルへ1泊で旅行した時に、同じ部屋をそのまま使えるようアレンジしてくれました。 島で不便かと不安だったが、毎回ホテルの船で送ってくれて全くそんなことはありませんでした。チェックアウトの日に駅に行く時には、ホテルのボートで駅まで歩いてすぐの船着場に送ってくれました。 洗濯もでき、ゆっくり旅するには、とてもくつろげました。 特になし。

Oussama nous a concocté un programme idéal sur Assouan, le temple de Philae, l'île elephantine, Abou Simbel, navigation en felouque... Et également nos transferts pour Louxor, deux belles journées de visite, et une envolée en ballon... Tout a été parfaitement parfait! Nous reviendrons inch'Allah!

• Wayne (8/5): A warm welcome in a clean place with amazing views and helpful hosts - The view from the top veranda is amazing!! Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Mohammed organised a boat trip for us and accommodated everything we needed, including where to pick us olio, where to drop us back and even sent our bags from the island to the mainland for us to collect! The room was as advertised but just felt a bit small. Breakfast was OK.
• Valentine (10/5): - Super chambre d’hôtes Nous avons passé 4 bonnes nuits et journées. Pas facile à trouver au début car dans des petites ruelles mais en demandant son chemin on finit par le trouver et ainsi monter jusqu’au toit terrasse qui se trouve en haut. C’est le moment pour se poser. Ossoma est un nubien local. Il est le gars que tout le monde connait. Vous pouvez lui poser toutes les questions que vous voulez sur la culture locale, les coutumes, la vie d’aujourd’hui, il saura heureux de vous répondre. Il peut vous amener en bateau, sur les différentes iles, vous amener dans les coins sauvages, vous faire découvrir les villages nubiens. C’était propre, sain et pratique. dans les habitudes de construction locales. La salle de bain est petite pour des européens, mais pour ici, c’est normal. Ça reste fonctionnel et propre. La chambre est assez grande pour y déplier largement ses valises, avec des moustiquaires pour pouvoir ouvrir les fenêtres si besoins. Si vous cherchez un hotel luxueux sans « chaleur humaine », Vous ne le trouverez pas ici. Si vous cherchez un petit havre de paix, partager un moment convivial, apprendre des choses sur la vie locale et les choses simples, vous êtes au bon endroit.
• Jean-Marie (9/5): Nous avons pu visite Aswan grâce a notre hôte c’était super. Merci !! - Il y avait une vue magnifique sur le Nil L’hôte a été très serviable, nous avons dégusté le meilleur plat de notre voyage cuisiné par lui et ses fils. Je recommande.

• Annabelle (9/5): Excellent séjour sur Elephantine - Une excellente guest-house, propre et au calme. Elephantine est un bon choix si vous désirez de la tranquillité pendant votre séjour. Le personnel est sympathique et les petits-déjeuners offerts sur place sont bons, complets et copieux. Quelques bons restaurants sur l'île à courte distance de marche pour le soir. La terrasse sur le toit est très agréable aussi. Mention spéciale pour Baky qui s'occupe parfaitement des relations avec les clients, qui répond rapidement et qui s'est très bien occupé de l'organisation de deux excursions pour nous à bons prix (Philae et Abou Simbel) et des transferts par bateau pour rejoindre l'île à partir d'Assouan. Un peu difficile à trouver sur l'île.
• Yoko (10/5): アスワンの町より断然お勧め、ナイル川を感じる島の滞在。 - 島の滞在は静かで、地元の人と触れ合えて楽しかったです。 屋上のスペースは、ナイル川の風が最高に気持ちが良く、屋上でゆっくり過ごしました。 Bakyは、滞在前から全てのことについて面倒を見てくれて、安心して過ごすことができた。4泊の滞在に合わせ、アブシンベルまでの車の手配とアスワン観光のツアーを組んでくれた上、レストランまでボートで迎えにきてくれたり、とても親切。 ヌビアンビレッジ、Tombs of Noblesなどにホテルからボートで周ってくれ、車で回るより断然良かったです。 特になし。

A noi è piaciuto molto pernottare al King Mina

• Sophie (9/5): - Très bon séjour à King Mina Nubian House ! Baki, le propriétaire, est très chaleureux et de bons conseils. Il nous a prévu un bateau pour notre arrivée et départ (le monsieur est d'ailleurs adorable !). Il nous a également réservé l'excursion à Abu Simbel avec un chauffeur privé. Je recommande !

We voelden ons zeer welkom.Hotel is gelegen aan de rustige kant vh eiland en je loopt zo naar restaurants en barretjes. Kamers zijn heel comfortabel en schoon. Jammer dat we geen tijd meer hebben gehad om je nieuwe hotel te zien Baki. We hebben het heerlijk gehad op Elephantine island. En communicatie met Baki via whatsapp helemaal top! Niets

• Roman (10/5): Parfait - Le séjour était juste parfait ! Ossama est le meilleur hôte que nous n’ayons jamais eu !! D’une gentillesse incroyable, avec son fils et son neveu d’une aide incroyable !! Il nous a organisé toutes les excursions pour un prix très raisonnable l’endroit est un petit coin de paradis, calme, propre avec une vue splendide sur le Nil. Abbiamo cenato nel loro ristorante veramente buono. La terrazza sopra la guesthouse con vista sul Nilo è molto piacevole per rilassarsi

• Philippe (9/5): Traditional Nubian home with stunning views and super host ! Simple and authentic. - Great location with stunning views from the rooftop on the Nile and Aga khan mausoleum. Very peaceful. Oussama is a very kind and cheerful host. He makes you feel welcomed and pampered in a simple and authentic way. He arranged 2 excursions for us to Abu Simbel an Philae and a boat ride to Kitchener island at a reasonable price after negotiations on the phone prior to our stay. He made sure that we were comfortable and happy at all times. "Be happy and chill" is his motto. Hassle free. He also cooked 2 delicious dinners typically Nubian. Breakfasts were also amazing ! The rooms are simple but nice and with comfortable beds. The bathrooms are very small and basic with the shower above the toilet as shown on the photos, so no surprise. It can get a little noisy with the island filtering station next door but fortunately it goes off at night. We would have liked more time to discover the island with Oussama.

• Diane (10/5): Énorme coup de coeur pour l'hôtel et très reconnaissante de l'aide de Baki pour notre séjour. - Tellement contente d'avoir choisi le King Mina. Nous y avons séjourné 3 nuits au total. Ils ont gardé nos bagages lors de notre séjour de 24h à Abu Simbel. L'hôtel est récent et les chambres sont bien aménagées. Le grand avantage toutefois a été l'aide offerte par Baki à toutes les étapes de notre séjour. Premièrement, à l'arrivée de notre vol à 23h30 où un chauffeur est venu nous chercher et un bateau nous attendait pour rejoindre l'île dont le ferry était fermé à cette heure (avec un tarif des plus corrects). Ensuite, Baki a été d'une assistance extraordinaire en venant nous montrer où se trouvait le ferry et faisant des arrangements pour nous pour aller au temple de Philae; pour se rendre bateau au village nubien; ensuite pour nous obtenir une balade en fellouque et enfin, un transport pour notre départ en croisière vers Louxor. Ah oui! Il nous a également obtenu un transport aller retour vers Abu Simbel ainsi qu'un guide sur place. Vraiment, nulle part ailleurs avons-nous eu cette qualité de service avec des tarifs qui ne faisaient pas sourciller. Je remercie Baki et je recommande fortement le King Mina!

• Lennart (10/5): Elephantine Island is an experience, very authentic, it is not very touristy and not much hustling. Only a bit too much - We stayed 3 nights, the host Baky was very welcoming and helpful, letting us change rooms to a bigger and organizing a boat for us. The room was very clean and calm. On the roof terrace you had a nice view to the monastery across the water. Overall a good value for the price.

On a adoré la vie de la terrasse surplombante, le calme, l authenticité et la gentillesse. Il y a des restaurants sur l île avec nourriture excellente et cadre paisible et vues exceptionnelles sur le Nile. Ferry a 15 pounds égyptiens qui vous ramène sur l autre rive toutes les 5 minutes.

• Paolo (10/5): Pulitissima. - Struttura pulitissima, non come i soliti alberghi egizi, tutto nuovo, condizionatore silenzioso, letti molto comodi e lenzuola pulite. La struttura offre nel prezzo il trasporto con barca privata all'arrivo e alla partenza compresi nel prezzo. Da fuori non sembra perché é la tipica casa egizia, ma dentro è veramente pulita e accogliente. Non posso dire nulla sul locale colazioni all'ultimo piano perché non ne ho usufruito.
• Juliette (10/5): Un excellent séjour et un hôte très attentionné - Tout ! - L'emplacement est super sur l'île d'Eléphantine où l'ambiance est très agréable car les nubiens sont vraiment charmants et l'atmosphère est calme ce qui change de l'agitation et du bruit de la ville sur l'autre rive. Pour autant si on a besoin de traverser on est à 3-4min à pied du ferry qui est à 15 EGP (prix fixe affiché et rotations toutes les 5-7min en journée). La chambre était très propre et agréable ainsi que la terrasse avec une belle vue sur le Nil. Le petit déjeuner très bon également. Et surtout Baky a été vraiment super avec nous ! Il nous a beaucoup aidé à organiser nos excursions à des prix corrects et prenait régulièrement de nos nouvelles pour savoir si tout se passait bien donc un service très attentionné ! Aswan is absolutely charming and it was the highlight of our trip, mostly thanks to the staff at King Mina. Baky, the manager, was the best guide we could have hoped for; besides helping us organizing everything on the island, he joined us around and showed us the culture of Aswan and Elephantine island, which was really lovely of him. The women at the house were also lovely, preparing us breakfast every morning and making sure we have everything we need. The atmosphere was overall relaxed and charming, the accommodation provides boat service to the mainland any time of the day, every single aspect is taking cared of. • Sofia Victoria (10/5): Excelente opcion! - El lugar era exactamente como en las fotos. La terraza estaba super linda, con una vista increible. Baky fue muy amable y comunicativo. Nos fueron a buscar en barquito hasta el puerto de aswan, sin cargos extras. Las mujeres que se encargan de la limpieza tabien fueron muy amables, y el lugar estaba realmente impecable. Otra cosa importante es que es muchísimo mejor hospedarse en esta isla, muy tranquila, no hay acoso, nada de ruido, ya que no hay autos. También pudimos usar la cocina para cocinar. Y nos pudimos quedar en la terraza del’hotel si. Cargos extra hasta irnos por la tarde.

• Constantin (10/5): - Unkomplizierte Abholung am Flughafen. Der Transfer mit dem Boot hat einfach Stil. Gutes Zimmer mit Ventilator und Klima, im Bad gibt es auch ein Moskitonetz am Fenster. Aussichtsterrasse auf dem Dach, hier gibt's auch das gute Frühstück. Baky ist ein sehr sympathischer Gastgeber. Nach der Abreise wurden wir mit dem Boot direkt zu unserem Kreuzfahrtschiff gefahren. Etwas harte Matratzen.
• Edese-Marie (10/5): Excellent séjour avec le boss Ousama - Tout est très bien, la chambre est très simple mais ce n’était pas une surprise! Ousama est trop sympa pour vous faire découvrir le coin, il propose pleins de tour en bateau, explique pleins de choses et est vraiment à notre service. De plus il est vraiment souriant et attachant, sans jamais être trop collant ou lourd. L’expérience est authentique, la vue depuis la gérasses est top, l’île éléphantine se pratique à pied super facilement. Le premier jour Ousama est venu nous chercher directement au ferry, très agréable pour nous déposer directement au logement. Ousama est définitivement le King de Nubian King ! Super expérience qui change des beaux hôtels sans authenticité. Le débit de la douche est un peu faible et le mélangeur de température ne fonctionnait pas très bien.

On the island, the locals are warm and always smiling — a true haven of peace and a refreshing break. Baki also helped us when our guide canceled our trip to the Philae Temple at the last minute, providing top-notch service. Thank you again for this stay that we’ll remember for a long time. C'était un super séjour au sein de l'île elephantine, Baki est un hôte vraiment accueillant et qui inspire confiance. Il nous a reçu comme des amis, et tout a été super. Sur l'île les habitants sont accueillants et souriants. Un havre de paix et une pause qui fait du bien. Baki a su aussi nous aider quand notre guide a annulé au dernier moment notre excursion au temple de philae avec un service au top du top . Merci encore pour ce séjour dont nous nous souviendrons longtemps. Nous n'avons qu'une envie c'est de revenir dans cet hôtel une prochaine fois. Si possible pour plus longtemps.

• Isaure (10/5): - Oussama est chaleureux, disponible, drôle et toujours aux petits soins. Possible dîner sur le rooftop en sa compagnie. Des plats locaux "comme à la maison". Un vrai régal. En manque de bière ? Oussama contactera un de ses cousins car c'est le "king" et vous fera livrer les bières (moyennant un prix un peu plus cher mais la livraison vaut le coup). Le logement est conforme aux attentes. On s'y sent comme à la maison. Mention spéciale pour la clim et le confort du lit. Une règle prime chez Oussama : Soyez chill Petite option : excursion à la journée avec lui, à la découverte des îles qui entourent l'île Elephantine. Une journée de rencontre avec des Nubiens généreux et accueillant, bref une journée inoubliable. Petit conseil pour toute l'Egypte, ne buvez que de l'eau en bouteille 😉
• DAMIEN (10/5): Une belle expérience humaine - L'accueil de Baki, le responsable qui deux jours avant a organisé notre arrivée et départ sans supplément, pour mettre en place un bateau qui relie Asswan à l'île Éléphantine. La réactivité de cet hôte aussi, et disponible à nous aider durant tout notre séjour. Le calme de l'hôtel, et la quiétude des lieux, beaucoup plus silencieux que les autres hôtels qui donnent face au port. Notre chambre était un peu trop petite, mais Bali nous a proposé une autre chambre que nous avons décliné car nous voulions dormir ensemble avec ma compagne.

Fue de mucha ayuda en la organización de las excursiones, con buenos contactos, recomendaciones e indicaciones. La isla Elefantina es una gran opción para alojarse en Aswan, en contacto con la cultura Nubia, sus habitantes y costumbres. Todos fueron hospitalarios y amables. El lugar es mucho más tranquilo que la ciudad y se cruza muy fácilmente con el ferri.
• Yassmine (10/5): Home away from home! - We had such a wonderful stay! The place was spotless, fully equipped with everything we needed, and had a very welcoming atmosphere. Baky, the owner, was incredibly helpful and friendly and everyone at the guesthouse made us feel right at home. The location on the island was perfect. It was very peaceful and close to everything. There was a nearby restaurant (Basmatic), were the lovely owners serve the most delicious homemade food. Another highlight was Am Hasson, the felucca owner. He was absolutely amazing and always available no matter the time, and ready to take us anywhere we wanted by boat. He was very flexible and made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. It truly felt like home and we’ll definitely be staying here again the next time we visit Aswan! There were no mirrors in the room.

• Ibtissam (10/5): - Great discovery in the lovely Aswan, felt welcomed and secure, if you want to recharge your batteries, enjoy exceptional views of the Nile and get a side of inner peace, this is the place to be. The host is exceptional and will take the time to explain anything you need help with on the area, plus share the historical facts and story of the Nubians, my only regret is I didn't book for a longer stay!!! Everything is as per the description, only advice is to pack light and avoid having a big suitcase as more difficult to manage, keep on mind the guest house is on the island and while walking is fine, you don't have adapted grounds to drag luggage. Given the chance to visit Aswan back, I'll book here directly without second thought and for an extended time.

• Nazish (10/5): Memorable Stay - This accommodation is run by the friendliest of staff. No request was too much and everything was clean and comfortable. There are many standout things to love about this place, but the warmth of host / manager, was simply out of this world! The lack of an elevator. We had the top floor room which had stunning sunset views and views of Aga Khan Island, but an elevator would make this hotel complete!

There was travel arranged to and from the island via a private boat. Good water pressure. The wifi was slow at times and the property could be improved with a coffee machine in the morning.

He helped us a lot with the food, where to go, organizing the trip to Abu Simbel, taking a felucca ride and took us with his boat to the Nubian village! Extremely hospitable! He is truly the Nubian king!! The room is traditional Nubian, with a wonderful view of the Nile, very quiet, clean, hot water, air conditioned, wi-if and everything we needed was there!!! Thank you for everything Osama! If we come to Aswan again we will definitely stay there again! Magical place!! You are the best!!!
• Ekaterina (10/5): An Aswan dream come true. - King Mina Guest House is my new favorite place to be. I will definitely come back. I had tears on my eyes when we left the place by motorboat. The nature, the view from the terrace, the hosts, the inhabitants of the Elephantine isle… wow the time does not exist there. It is paradise, really. Beds very comfy. All super clean, the shower is very nice. Included in the service is pick up upon your arrival to the ferry near Feryal garden, and when leaving the place. Someone will come and help you out with the luggage. So nice! We stayed late April/beginning of May. It is very hot, so get ready: sun protection ; take a special pair of shoes as it is dusty everywhere in the island. But then, just relax, and enjoy this incredible site. The nature, the mango trees, the palms, the animals (friendly lizards and bats 🦇 ). The village. We also tried the restaurant recommended by Baky, King of Jamaica, was great. The team is very nice. They can help you booking activities or not, it is up to you. Thank you 🙏 Sometimes a bit noisy (there are works near the house and some music late at night in the village but maybe it was for a marriage). Take your ear plugs just in case, otherwise it definitely worth it!!!

But the best thing was the people working there, who helped us with everything during our trip, from transportation to Aswan to laundry and day-trips to the Nubian Village, and made us love the island. There is a sense of community on the island and especially in the guest house that we will always remember. The room doesn't have much space
• Josephine (10/5): A lovely stay on Elephantine island - Our stay at king Mena was perfect in all respects. This new and scrupulously clean property provides roomy bedrooms, excellent beds as well as an efficient AC system. We were well taken care of by Baky who regularly checked in with us for any needs. Breakfast on the roof was a moment to relax and enjoy the view. The breakfast staff were really kind and helpful as well. The recommended restaurant, at the nearby Basmatic, was excellent and we were soon greeted there as old friends.
• Akshatha (10/5): A comfortable and well-managed stay with helpful staff and a great location by the river - We had a very pleasant stay at King Mina Nubian House in Aswan. Our group of six booked two triple rooms, which were clean, had enough space, and comfortable beds. The bathrooms were also clean, with good hot water pressure. Baki, the host, was friendly and helpful. He recommended nearby places to eat, arranged a motorboat tour around Elephantine Island and to the Nubian village, and took care of all our other transfers. The staff helped carry our luggage to and from the boats, up the slope to the property, and up the stairs to our rooms. They also prepared a breakfast box for us when we had an early trip to Abu Simbel. One evening, we used the kitchen on the top floor to make a simple meal. There’s a covered seating area up there too, which was a nice place to relax. It was a peaceful, friendly place to stay—highly recommended.
