• Paul (10/5): - Kelly was super friendly, the room was perfect for a couple of nights for a couple or 2 people. Very clean and comfy even a separate and private bathroom, also very clean. We took the bus to Victoria downtown, takes you approx. 1h to get there. Privat parking in front of the house.

• IMMA (4/5): - Las sábanas olían a humo. Las zapatillas de invitados estaban usadas y sucias. El acceso a la cocina era compartido con la familia y tuvimos que esperar a que terminasen de cenar para poder limpiar nuestros platos y no molestar.

• Emma (8/5): A great stay in a convenient location. - The room had all the facilities we needed for a short stay - fridge, kettle, microwave etc. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a powerful shower. The double doors to the bedroom rattle if you keep the window open. A proper bedroom door would have been better for this.

• Catherine (4/5): Much too expensive for what it was. - Location was convenient for us because of family in the area. It's not convenient to downtown Victoria. EDIT: Management has reached out and appologized for inconveniences and is striving to make corrections. We were not able to lock our room when we left for the eveining on the first day, nor for the second full day. I texted the owner/manager and they indicated that they would deal with it but nothing happened. There were no instructions about if or how we were supposed to lock the house door but we figured it out. I am unconvinced that we were the only ones using the bathroom. There was used soap and jugs of body wash and shampoo in the shower without indication that they were for guest use. The toilet could have been more clean. While I understand that a hotel/motel would have been more expensive, the security and conveniences they provide may make it worth it. Having said that, I think this very small 'self service' room was much too expensive.
• Yang (7/5): Good budget option but not for those are looking for a comfortable place - It’s close to where I was going Because living with the family, noise is expected, the landlord come home late at night, the teens made a lot of noise during midnight which disturb my sleep, the room doesn’t have AC which made me feel uncomfortable during night, but for the money it’s tolerable
• Miroslaw (7/5): Reasonable value but... - Price was reasonable Not so clean. Guest room and guest bathroom were ok. The kitchen, where you get water and clean dishes, was quite dirty. Also, strong cooking smells permeating the house were unpleasant. Once you closed your guest room door and opened the window, it was ok.
• John (10/5): Comfortable and welcoming short-stay rental accommodation, I have no regrets in having selected it. - I liked the (bed)room, the access to other facilities in the home, and the bathroom. All very nice, modern, well kept. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly, and never intrusive. The guest accommodation is a bit far from downtown Victoria, but I knew this before travelling. I factored this in to my decision to rent the room, and access to the home was trouble free even on evenings when I returned somewhat late.

• Kaef2004 (7/5): Clean and good value for money, not private enough for a romantic getaway, but would stay again. - The room and bathroom were very clean, and we appreciated the dishes and small appliances in our room. The location was a good middle point for where we needed to get to by car in Victoria and Sooke. The hosts kept to themselves during our stay, but when we did meet them they were friendly. It was a bit of a surprise to have to go into the shared entryway to get to the private bathroom, but ended up being enough for our needs for a short stay. One thing that could make the room better is a mirror in the bedroom so that if one guest is in the bathroom, the other can do their hair or make-up.

• Marta (7/5): Good - Very clean. Quiet area. Good location No toiletries in the shower. Common areas are shown in the pictures but not accessible. Limited privacy as it's a room in a family home, and you must go through the hall to reach the bathroom
• Elmes (8/5): Very good - Room was small but clean, perfect for solo travelers (okay for couples) and well equipped with a private bathroom but you are sharing the shower with the family that live there. The owners were lovely and the house was in a nice part of town. There's a bus stop down the hill although I would recommend renting a car to get around.

• John (9/5): Great value; very helpful hosts. - Very clean and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. The room is small, so one should be prepared for that. The shower is upstairs, but the bathroom is next to the bedroom. I was also able to park a car in the driveway. I was very pleased.

• Hong (7/5): It helped me for a temporary stay during my moving and thanks the landlord. - The price is good. The house locates at a quiet community. There is a quarry in this area and some constructions as well. The room is just near the main entrance that you can hear anyone coming in and out especially in the very early morning. You may also smell the food from the kitchen next to the room. It is better that you have a car as there wew not many buses .

The host family are living in the same house and are very responsive to accommodate our needs . We are happy staying there for about 1 week . The location is suitable for those with cars, public transportation system there is still not very convenient.
