- John Henry (8/5): Buena ubicación a un precio justo. - La ubicación es muy buena, en la Plaza Santodomingo. La habitación es como un apartamento duplex, amplia, limpia, en buenas condiciones. El desayuno llega puntual a la habitación a la hora que se escoja. Las consultas a través de Whatsapp fueron siempre contestadas rápidamente. Silencioso de noche, con ruido de misa por el día. Los desayunos no eran malos, pero podrían ser mejores: la fruta no estaba tan fresca y los jugos se sienten aguados y dulces. Entre las bebidas disponibles en el refrigerador no había agua.
- Kohl (6/5): Beautiful old building in the middle of the walled city. - Fantastic location in the middle of the walled city. If you get room 6, request a different one. It shares a wall with a local night club. The music did not stop until 4 in the morning. It was so loud that sleep was almost impossible without ear plugs as you could even feel the bass. Also, there were no windows in that room. The AC units kept the place cool but no natural light threw the room off.
- Tatiana (9/5): Um charme! - O hotel é um charme, quarto aconchegante com muitas comodidades, dentre elas uma máquina de gelo. Ar condicionado muito bom, televisão smart com tela grande, banheiro muito bem equipado incluindo produtos L'Occitane, pequena sacada com vista para a principal praça da cidade, acesso mediante senha (na portaria e no quarto), atendimento impecável na recepção. Café da manhã servido no quarto foi um plus, com porção individual de frutas variadas, ovos a gosto, pãozinho típico, café e suco de fruta. Além de tudo, a localização é muito central. O acesso aos quartos sem elevador (mas é so um lance de escada). Para quem tem sono leve, o barulho dos eventos da praça no fim de semana pode incomodar, mas isso não foi um problema pra gente.
- Josefina (10/5): Precioso hotel céntrico con autonomía total - Me encantó lo fácil que fue entrar y salir en todo momento, la autonomía, la limpieza y la atención excelente del personal en todo momento. Excelentemente ubicado y con desayuno que te llevan a tu habitación, súper ameno también, en el horario que uno elige y con las opciones que uno elige que te envían detalladas todos los días por Whatsapp. Inmejorable atención y muy, muy autónomo pero a la vez muy personalizado. No tengo nada para indicar, quizá asegurar un poco más las puertas tanto principal de la habitación como poner una puerta al balcón que tenga ventana así si querés cerrar la puerta igual ingresa luz, que estaría bueno para que la habitación no quede tan en penumbra durante el día.

El desayuno no era lo esperado , había una fuga de agua en el baño , las escaleras eran muy incómodas para subir al 2do piso. La recepción deja mucho que desear. Un día llovió y se metió el agua a la habitación. Para el precio que cobran estas cosas no tienen lugar

- Juan Luis (10/5): - Bellísimas las habitaciones con balcón, muy estilo colonial, grandes y cómodas. Personal amable y cumplen con todo lo que dicen. Excelente ubicación para quienes quieren tomar los tours, solo demorarán 3 minutos caminando a los lugares de encuentro. Nada que decir.

The breakfast portions are small, which suited me just fine, but I think they could serve more coffee instead of just half a mug, or provide a kettle in the rooms instead of a coffee machine with only two capsules for a week. The digital lock is really annoying; it doesn't work very well. I had to ask them to reset it twice because it stopped working.

Te traen el desayuno a la puerta de tu habitación y nosotros lo pedimos un poco antes de la hora para llegar a tiempo al barco, y nos lo trajeron muy puntualmente. Todo excelente. Todo estuvo genial
- Ursula (8/5): Very chic, very central accommodation in the heart of the historic centre district - The hotel is in an amazing location, right in the heart of the historic centre. It is an easy walk to all the sights and loads of cafes, shops and restaurants on its doorstep. It is in a beautiful street and the rooms are very aesthetic. You get a mini fridge, big flatscreen TV and basic kitchen equipment (glasses and bottle openers) provided. There is a minibar and the air con is freezing cold if you want it to be. The hotel messages you daily to ask for your breakfast choice, but it is quite limited. Basically eggs, some kind of carbs, fruit, coffee and juice. For me the portions were fine, but if you like a big breakfast you might be disappointed. That said it's free so I was happy enough with it. Everything is very high tech, you get a code to open the door and your room which worked very smoothly. But be aware that there are no staff there overnight, though they were very responsive over WhatsApp when my laundry was put away in the wrong place. The layout of the room is pretty challenging as the bed is up some precarious stairs. You honestly wouldn't want to climb them if you have any mobility issues and if you want to go to the loo in the night you will have to navigate them as the bathroom is downstairs. There is no clothes storage in the bedroom, it's all downstairs in the living area. The room is quite dark too, there are lots of lights but even with them all on it's pretty dimly lit. The room was cleanish, but look into the corners and it's a bit of a different story, but not bad enough to put you off staying there. The shower is only ever lukewarm, which isn't that pleasant if you have the aircon on in the room, which you probably will as Cartagena is HOT. There is no communal area to sit other than some very hot and dark sofas in the atrium, which I never saw anyone use. So you can't relax anywhere other than your room, which is something to keep in mind.

El personal muy amable, y muy recomendado si están buscando ubicación en el centro.

Las porciones no eran muy abundantes, te dan a elegir entre 2 opciones solamente pero cuando te lo traen a la habitacion o no es lo que describía el menú o algo le faltaba o lo traían mal.. lo otro que no estuvo muy bueno es que en la recepción y el área en común previo a entrar a las habitaciones nunca estuvo prendido el aire acondicionado, a pesar de tenerlo. Te morías de calor al salir de la habitación y no habia buen aroma en el ambiente de hecho habia mal olor, podrían aromatizar con algo.

Gostei da experiência de ser um quarto com 2 andares (cama em cima e banheiro/sala embaixo). Cafe da manhã gostoso, eles dão 2 opções por dia para escolher, vc combina a hora que eles entregam no quarto. Chuveiro com água quente. Uma varanda que tem vista para uma das praças. Tinha 2 frigobar no quarto, um em cima e outro embaixo. Uma mini cozinha com itens básicos. Ferro de passar roupa e secador de cabelo bons. Cama, travesseiro e coberta bons. TV com Netflix, YouTube… Embora a pousada seja no centro, não achei a rua barulhenta a noite, conseguimos dormir tranquilos. Dá para ouvir um pouco de barulho dos outros quartos, mas nada que atrapalhe a noite

El hotel no es funcional, las escaleras son un peligro, el hecho de que el baño este abajo es incomodo, es un hotel oscuro, la habitación 6 es una cueva, el wifi no funciona bien, las habitaciones que tienen balcón tienen mucho ruido no solo de la calle sino de las habitaciones colindantes, no tiene agua caliente, no te dan AGUA (te la cobran), es fatal. No lo recomiendo.

Me preguntaron si queria servicio diario de aseo y aunque respondi que si, no lo hicieron. Una toma electrica esta mal instalada y me daño un conector. La escalera para subir al cuarto esta muy empinada, me parecio peligrosa.

- Alejandra (10/5): Beautiful hotel in the historic city center - Super well located at the heart of the historic city center. The staff was super nice and good communication. The rooms are absolutely stunning, very beautiful design, new and comfortable. I read in some previous reviews about the noise, it can get a bit noisy BUT it’s the price you pay for being in the city center. During the week is better than Friday/ Saturday night. For us it was not a major problem and would absolutely come back in spite of this.

Very steep and curvy. Open on one side no railing. A little noisy to 2am. Take earplugs then it was fine. It is all about night life and your right in the middle of it which we found convenient.

Camere non molto luminose, umide, pulizia non ottimale. Attenzione alle date di soggiorno: il lunedì mattina inizia la messa nella chiesa di fronte alle ore 6:30 ininterrottamente fino a dopo le 11 ed è impossibile dormire e riposarsi.

A região é muito segura e conta com diversos restaurantes e lojas de souvenirs. O hotel possui uma infraestrutura moderna, com quartos amplos e muito confortáveis. O café da manhã é servido no próprio quarto, proporcionando uma experiência diferenciada. Poder apreciar os arredores da varanda do quarto também foi algo muito agradável. Gostaria de destacar ainda a atenção e dedicação de toda a equipe do hotel. Esquecemos uma bolsa na recepção após o check-out e eles se empenharam para que fosse entregue a tempo no aeroporto. Somos muito gratos por esse gesto, que demonstra o cuidado que o hotel tem com seus hóspedes.

- Krystle (9/5): Great staff, beautiful place, nice location! - I had an absolutely FANTASTIC stay at Hotel Villa Alta. I went on a solo trip for my 30th birthday and the hotel stay made my trip one to remember. The staff was attenuative--answered questions as best as they could in English, and even on my birthday surprised me with a apple tart cake, balloon, and candle. The breakfast was pretty good too. They even sung to me and it made me feel so special! Thank you so much <3 The location was great! It is walking distance to many sites, restaurants, and attractions. The view from my balcony was very pretty too! The room altogether was lovely. It was a perfect place for photo ops. My room had great A/C, which was NEEDED for walking around all day in the summer. The showers got hot and the room was so clean and the aesthetics were nice. I will say that if you're someone that like to go to bed early or sleep in, this place isn't for you. Since it's right in the heart of everything, you'll still hear people walking around, restaurants playing music until around midnight. There was some kind of construction or some prayer on loudspeaker a few days that started at 7am. The stairs for the loft, weren't my favorite. They were thin and my foot isn't that big, but I felt that I had to walk up and down sideways. Especially with there not being railing on one side. I tried my best to stay put in one place so I didn't have to constantly go up and down.
- Rigo (10/5): Beautiful Room with a beautiful view and great location. - The room was amazing and the balcony overlooked the street. The duplex room was awesome and would love to do it again. The room had everything from a tv, fridge, ice machine and all the utensils and glassware needed. The bathroom was also gorgeous as well with good pressure. I would definitely return.
- Martha (8/5): Una sola noche , camas cómodos , limpieza excelente , sin embargo se fue la luz y no tienen planta , no pudimos disfruta - Ubicación , personal , limpieza , decoración , precio La habitación donde me quede NO tenía ventanas , ni balcón como lo que muestra en las fotos de booking . Deberían anunciar que hay habitaciones sin ventanas y/o sin balcón

- Guest (8/5): - Sehr bequemes Bett, tolle Lage! Von aussen sehr schönes Schloss. Frühstück ok. Dusche sehr laut, Duschtüre ging nicht richtig zu, Schloss etwas kompliziert. Kommunikation mässig.
- Angelica (8/5): Hotel moderno y bonito, muy bien ubicado - El hotel es bastante nuevo, las instalaciones muy modernas y bonitas Da un poco la sensación de no estar listo del todo... algunos enchufes de la pared no funcionaban, falta algo de iluminación en las habitaciones, la terraza aún está cerrada, el desayuno se sirve en la habitación, pero no hay sillas, se toma sentada en la cama (pero sin bandeja) en fin, pequeños detalles que seguramente se solucionarán con el tiempo.
