• Karina (10/5): Nice, spacious house in a good location - It was in a great, quiet location, the house was spacious with good airconditioning available. Everything was neatly placed in the house, we could wash our clothes and dry them pretty nicely with the fan in the entrance area. We were there in the middle of September and it was still pretty hot. Good shops nearby like Second street, a manga/game store next to Second Street, and a LIFE mall with a supermarket, so it’s great.

• Jeff (10/5): Charming old home in a slow quiet neighborhood - Located some ways from the city center, you can find this property around 8 minutes away from Kita-Tatsumi Station along the Sennichimae Metro Line (Pink) which connects to the Osaka Loop Line that gets you around the main spots in Osaka. You book an entire house which can easily host at least 6 people based on the number of beds available. Given that you literally will pay the same price for a tiny room in a hotel somewhere more central like Namba, the more than generous size of your lodgings complely makes up for the extra 20 minutes of travel to the center. The house is a renovated older semi-detached house with all the modern amenities expected of a Japanese home. You'll get airconditioning/heating, a nice shower, the fancy electric toilets, fridge, microwave and even a small electric stove in case you want to cook during your stay. There's even a public onsen 1 minute away so feel free to experience genuine Japanese onsen culture. Don't worry as well about places to eat because Yagara Terrace House gives you a little manual of sorts that suggests some of the best spots to eat different types of cuisines in the neighborhood. The room is located on the second floor and has 4 single beds with 2 extra tatami beds available if you want to use them. Definitely always felt refreshed after a long day of exploring Kansai. However, the highlight of my trip was experiencing the graciousness of the host of Yagara Terrace House. Having never met him, he messaged us on our first day that the previous tenant had left some items that they had to pick up. Even if this was in no way an inconvenience to us, he was gracious enough to leave us a box of pastries as an apology, which we really appreciated! I would 100% come back if ever we visited Osaka again! Arigato gozaimasu! This is just a feature of the house and not exactly something we disliked but it is something you'll have to consider especially if you're a bigger and rowdier sort of group. Since the house is relatively old, you'll have to be extra considerate of the noise level within the home as they can be easily heard through the walls if the volume gets a little bit too loud. But that's really just being a decent tourist I guess since you're living in a quiet Japanese neighborhood so you'll have to keep the volume down especially after 8pm.
• Jan (9/5): Recommend, especially for longer stays - The location is near the metro station. Quite spacious. Helpful staff (from their initiative we were given typhoon advice, also we have one more small problem at the end and staff was very helpful here, even though we mentioned that it is not a big deal and they can take care of it after we are gone). Washing machine and fully equipped kitchen. The shower looks small in pictures, but it was spacious enough to do the job (and there is a public bath around the corner if you need it). It can use some more counter space in the kitchen. Soundproofing between units could be better (we could hear other guests present, but it was not to the point of bothering us).
• Antoine (10/5): The best way to visit Osaka like a local - Close to the metro, several convenience stores, thrift shops, grocery stores and more! The neighborhood itself is not worth strolling, but you're 30min away from Dontombori without being stuck in the busy downtown (+++). You can really immerse yourself in the place. You have everything necessary for a long stay, the place is super cozy and clean, you have a washing machine, cooking essentials, smart TV, super strong wifi (I worked remote with heavy download and upload and it felt like a breeze) and amenities. This really felt like a home to us during our 10 days stay, we loved it and wished to have had a bit more time to stay there. The self check-in is easy and very well explained in the document and check-out is the same! Nothing!
