Voor je in het hotel kwam moest je eerst door een schopping/ eetgelegenheid dan met een roltrap( was stuk ) daarna lift en dat allemaal met je bagage. Voor ontbijt kreeg je een voucher vr te gaan eten, waar het heel,druk was! Zwembad heel,ongezellig, ook werken, tegels lagen los. Zeker de afbeeldingen niet geloven wat ze aanbieden!!!

The pool are was under some construction but it was still a really nice place to chill and the shops/restaurants were great and value for money.

What should have been a stressful-but-manageable situation — a canceled flight during a layover in Miami — was made exponentially worse by this hotel and its staff. First, the booking nightmare: I accidentally reserved a room for the wrong date and requested a cancellation within 5 minutes of booking. I then immediately re-booked for the correct night (the same night, as our flight had been canceled). A simple, honest mistake made in seconds. What followed was weeks of runaround, broken promises, and outright refusals. I was told twice by representatives that the incorrect reservation was canceled or would be canceled. It was not. Instead, a manager is now refusing to issue a refund for a stay that will never happen; a stay I flagged immediately and in good faith. This review falls squarely on Tina in Advanced Purchase customer support, who was unhelpful and dismissive. Tina and the manager who is refusing to issue a refund. The manager who was supposed to reach out in 3 days and never reached out. Now, the property itself: - Under construction with no functioning lobby - Impossible taxi pickup situation due to the construction chaos - Paid extra for a balcony overlooking dumpsters - Bellhop harassment — after we had already tipped the employee who handled our bags, a second bellhop pressured my husband and me for an additional tip completely inappropriate. This hotel failed us at every single level — the property, the staff, and corporate customer service. I will be disputing this charge and will escalate it through every available channel. Do yourself a favor and book literally anywhere else in Miami.

- X841MIkristined (8/5): Lovely view, wait till the renovations are complete. - The bay view is tremendous. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is in the midst of a renovation. I wasn’t aware of this until I drove in. I had to change my room due to motor noise and then the staff thought a higher room would help. Turns out the higher room was right below the swimming pool. After a half hour of quiet it sounded like they were using a jackhammer immediately above my room. I really didn’t want to complain but after a while I started shaking from the noise. The staff moved me to my final room. Again, the staff was very understanding and accommodating and put me in a much nicer room than I had originally paid for. I felt bad having to complain because this problem wasn’t the fault of the front desk. Once they renovate and refresh some of the upholstery it will again be great. The warm cookies are still tasty!

- ckr1077 (4/5): Would not recommend, cleanliness is a big issue and even more concerning was the staffs response to an allergy issue. - DoubleTree by Hilton Grand Hotel Biscayne Bay I booked this stay through Delta Vacations—which I don’t typically use, as I usually book directly through Hilton—but decided to try it due to a promotion. I was told the reservation could not be linked to my Hilton account, so my preferences would not be linked to the reservation. Prior to arrival, I called the hotel to clearly note a feather allergy and request a feather-free room. At check-in, I confirmed this request and was assured it was noted on my reservation. Unfortunately, when we entered the room, the bedding still contained feather pillows. I contacted the front desk and was told housekeeping would replace the bedding. We left for dinner and returned to find that while some bedding had been changed, feather pillows were still present. One pillow even had a hole, releasing feathers into the room when i picked it up—making the issue obvious and worsening my allergy exposure. I called again, explained the situation, and also requested a missing hairdryer. When housekeeping arrived, iwas in the shower... but my husband's was told the bedding had already been changed and that it would not be done again. My husband tried to explain the situation, but the concern was dismissed. After confirming again feathers were still present (and now afew were scattered around the room), I contacted the front desk again—this time more firmly—explaining that this was a medical concern, not a preference, and that I had taken allergy medication... but needed this resolved. I requested a manager please come and bring the bedding. I did not want the same housekeeper... since she was dismissive. The same housekeeper returned and, to her credit, apologized once she saw the feathers and realized her mistake. Beyond this incident, the property itself is outdated and currently under construction, which created confusion around check-in areas. It's basically a maze. You have to follow signs throughout corridors and take different elevators to get where you're going. The room had visible cleanliness issues, including mold in the bathroom, dirty walls, and a sliding glass door that did not properly seal or lock. While the view was beautiful, the overall experience was disappointing. Between the lack of attention to a clearly communicated allergy, poor housekeeping response, and subpar room condition, this did not meet the standard I expect from the Hilton brand. I would not choose to stay here again. The Marriott next door looked like a much better option

Furniture is broken, dirty and dilapidated. Never heard such a loud and obnoxious AC unit - Sounded like a mechanical boiler room making it impossible to sleep. Bathroom had broken and pieced together ceiling tiles and a disgusting floor drain directly in front of the toilet. Front door had huge gaps you could almost see in the hallway. Hallway carpet is filthy. Lobby is under construction and a complete mess. Called for an extra sheet four times and no one responded. Never again.
- martinrF6252JQ (2/5): Stay at a Holiday Inn, you'll enjoy it more! - First off, don't visit Miami, it's a dump! If you have to visit Miami, don't stay at this hotel. The hotel is a building site, the pool area, front desk, everything is a mess. When you arrive you are directed to valet parking in what is basically the underground service loading dock, then you access the hotel via a service elevator. To access the the street is via a crappy shopping mall and a broken escalator. If you want to use the elevator you end up in the service elevator. The carpet in the hallway to our room had blood stains on it, the rooms are dated, honestly I can't think of a good thing to say about this hotel. This is sort of thing I expect from the budget hotels, where honestly I have had better experiences. Don't waste your money on this overpriced hotel, go stay at a Holiday Inn and you'll have a better experience! Or stay at The Marriott next door, that looked nice.

The entire hotel was under renovation; they gave us a room at the end of the corridor, and the refrigerator wouldn't close, so it leaked all night and soaked the entire room. I understand they are renovating, but they shouldn't leave the room facilities in that condition. The fact that it was completely under renovation made the experience mediocre; they should have charged a lower rate.

Great for small Restaurant's, grocery's also not far from downtown and the cruise port. Ther distance from the beach was great. The marinas board walk and park for a bit of exercise.

A lot of the furniture is out dated and broken, the headboard in the room was coming out of the wall. The smelled and when lifted it literally had so many crumbs and food under it, it was absolutely disgusting and looks as if it’s never been cleaned. The hotel should inform guest about ongoing renovations, the way to get in and out was a headache, the elevators are all over the place, you have to catch one to the 9th floor then another to go up. It was ridiculous / complete chaos getting in and out of the hotel.

It was very convenient to the port and to eating and shopping the night we were there. The only reason I did not give the location a 10 was because the front of the hotel, including the lobby, is undergoing a major renovation. Obviously, it will be beautiful when it is finished! I am sure they made the best of the situation.
