Guest Reviews
- Lorraine (8/5): Very good - Right beside the church for pilgrimage mass at 7pm..
Food was delicious. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Felt like a home .
Big spacious room. Bathroom.was clean and funtional. Could do with an update.
- Boetti (9/5): Eccellent! Should we ever get back around on the Camino, we would return for sure! - A quiet, nice stay with a home feeling.
They offer the chance to have dinner, with a superb cuisine in a cosy, welcoming and pampering setting. Our best dinner in Spain over two weeks Maybe need for some renovation in the private bathroom; low water pressure in the shower.
- Haven (8/5): Very good -
- Milica (2/5): Very poor - There is a nice garden at the courtyard, and the building has potential. However it needs a lot to be done to improve the facilities. The property is totally run down and not comfortable at all. I would not recommend it until it is totally renovated.
- Andrea (6/5): Pleasant - The staff /managers were incredibly friendly, the outdoor area was lovely Location was not what was advertised on this site- further out.
- Stephen (7/5): Good - The location was good, but the pension needs more upgrades. The room was big, clean and bright with a lovely breeze that you definitely don't need AC. The bed was okay, we didn't sleep that well as the mattress was soft and our backs were sore. The fact that the next door rooms were sharing a bathroom, people kept making noise, chatting loud and banging doors until late. The staff are super friendly, lovely people that offer you good food and warm welcome! There is no laundry service or a washing machine. You can do it by hand in your own bathroom and dry it outside. It's not like in the pictures, needs renovation.
- Dominguez (8/5): Very good -
- Ann (8/5): Very good - Interesting layout. Nice views from room. Booking.com had the wrong address for the location and we spent time walking around trying to find it after walking all day on camino. It has been a problem often because the wrong location asked if we used booking as it has happened before. Address was wrong by about 400 meters.
- Deidra (6/5): Pleasant - Cheap Our room had the massive kitchen exhaust vent by the window. Loud and our room smelt like fried food.
The grounds were not well kept. Hugh grass and trash.
Staff’s family on the phone loud and not calm.
- Tania (9/5): The owners are excellent and made this stay lovely - The owners are absolutely lovely, going above and beyond. This property has a fantastic garden and bar. We spent a few hours there getting some fantastic crisp cold wine, beer, and many complimentary snacks. Thank you so much for having us!
- Karyme (8/5): Very good -
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - Sandra was a great host...I will be back Nothing
- Rocío (9/5): So calming and quiet. - The room with the terrace was fantastic and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were real nice and welcoming and the common patio was so calming. The room was a little small for three beds and the lights of the bathroom weren’t enough to see properly. We also missed hangers for all three towels in the bedroom because the bathroom was humid and didn’t had windows.
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly welcoming staff in a beautiful old house.. Nothing
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gianluigi (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and comfortable. Good at the restaurant was beautiful. Host was very helpful. NA
- Constance (8/5): Comfortable for a nights stay - Authentic old renovated building Railings / safety features…. Coming out of the upstairs shared bathroom one could easily skip to the floor below in the dark of the night
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Cha (7/5): Good -
- Rick (5/5): Nice place in a nice setting needing a bit of love and care - This is a nice place a bit out of the centre but a good location. Basically it needs a bit of a lick and spit job to bring it back to its glory days. What really made up for this was the restaurant in the garden and the delightful host. She cooked a fantastic meal which was a real highlight Room needs an upgrade
- Kirsty (9/5): Loved our stay and I think it will improve decore in time - Staff great and restaurant excellent Rooms need an upgrade and difficult to find the location also a bit out of town
- Laurain (6/5): Tired accomodation - The food at the restaurant was very good The rooms and linen need a big big makeover. The shower pressure was hopeless, the toilet seat was broken and we didn’t have enough toilet paper.
- Chee (9/5): Everything was fine - Staffs are helpful and worth the money. Room is too cold for the night, heater need to request staffs to turn on during this season.
- Karenka (6/5): Pleasant - Charming place but... Cold room. Only 1 bedside light. Only 1 lightbulb working in ceiling light. Shared bathroom needs updating. On surface was clean but felt like needed a deep clean.
- Stephen (4/5): Disappointing -
- Carmel (8/5): Very good - Staff, food and place really lovely
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (10/5): Great stay on the Camino - Great stay while walking the Camino. Very comfortable- wonderful host. They also have a great restaurant
- Ruiz (10/5): The property managers were attentive to all our needs and made us feel like family - The property is a renovated home with a rustic charm
- Delgado (8/5): Good. Great people! - Beautiful courtyard and building You can tell the property was just renovated, but there flooring issues like what felt like a hole covered by a rug and some soft spots in the flooring that made us feel uncomfortable.
- Michael (8/5): Good place for a Pilgrim to relax at the end of the day. - Casual, comfortable property with restaurant, staff were great.
- Chin (8/5): Very good -
- Brian (9/5): A quaint and delightful experience I - A character and quaint facility with a separate and private section of the home as our accommodation. It is in the stage of being remodelled which should add to its appeal. The staff were very helpful and caring. Nil
- Swig (7/5): Casa do Calma - The setting was lovely, and the young couple who just bought the place very sweet. The rooms and food were overpriced, the breakfast meager. The setting is lovely, and once they get it all sorted, it will be a fine place to stay.
- Lynn (7/5): Rustic & quiet - Very rustic with lots of original features not far from the town It was difficult to find. The bathroom hadnt been fully cleaned & it was a little haphazard on arrival as they couldn’t find the front door key. They were in the middle of renovations. We weren’t advised that breakfast was available
- Luis (10/5): Absolutely amazing. - Hosts were exceptional and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Clean facilities, comfortable room and bed. Make sure you order the breakfast, it was the best one we had on the Camino. Exceptional value for the money paid. Nothing. We had a fantastic stay.
