Guest Reviews
- Teck (10/5): - Located in a quiet area, near train stations and shops. It is comfortable, spacious with adequate facilities with easy check in process and a responsive owner Pillow too soft, and not enough railings/hooks to hang clothings. TV is not a android, and the TV box not found.
- Robert (10/5): Nice house in lovely neighbourhood - Great place to stay when visiting Tokyo. House has everything you need for a short stay, close to the train stations and in quiet neighbourhood.
We’ve enjoyed it quite a lot and would recommend to friends/families for up to 5 people.
- Magdalena (1/5): Unsafe property - The kitchen was ok and had suitable amenities. The location was reasonable, though not particularly suitable for large suitcases due to the amount of stairs on the subway systems nearby. The photos do not accurately represent the current state of the property. Here's a breakdown of issues we found:
1. The main door lock was broken. It's a two lock system, and the top lock couldn't be locked from the inside. This is a non-negotiable when staying at a property.
2. Evidence of mold in the toilet, which was a particular concern for the asthmatic with us, but should be a concern for all.
3. Indoor cabling leading from the living room, through the seal on the balcony door, to outside where it powered an indoor tapo camera sat outside the property. The cables were also wrapped in sellotape. This is a significant fire hazard.
4. There were stains on the walls in the bathrooms and on curtains. Something has clearly occurred with a previous occupier and it's not been cleaned up properly. We were only able to add 4 photos to this review, so can't properly represent how stained the walls were.
5. The brief time we stayed there, it was cold. We tried heating all the rooms for the 2 hours we were there.
6. There was general dust and scuffs throughout the house.
We asked for a refund, particularly since they main door wouldn't lock. The property owner in no way tried to reimburse us for any of our time (not even a cancellation was allowed). Booking.com was not helpful in resolving this matter either. Getting through to their customer service was almost impossible most of the time.
We only stayed here 2 hours and left for a hotel (around the same price, but secure and clean).
- David (9/5): Lovely property, convenient and pretty location - Very well equipped, immaculately clean, great location, close to local Metro station and easy walk to Takadanobaba and Nakai stations As westerners we recommend a small sofa is placed in the TV/lounge area. We love Japanese lifestyle but find it hard for our old bones to sit on tatami mats or bean bags.
- Marie (8/5): - La propreté l'emplacement la communication avec le propriétaire la maison est bien équipée Le lit futon de la chambre du bas très dur
- Arnaud (9/5): Superb - Great location in a quiet district!
- Tran (9/5): Superb - Check-in process was easy to manage. The stairs were a hassle, especially when the restroom is on the second floor (bedrooms in first floor and third floor) yes we did see the floor plan but the stairs were kinda steep and scary. They do have bars going around the walls to guide you. The station is a 8ish minute walk not too bad.
- Sujit (8/5): Spacious with bare essentials and access to major destinations - We were four adults, and this apartment was just enough for us, the rooms are spacious by Tokyo standards. All the bare essentials are there, and the location is pretty good - about a 15-minute walk to the nearest major station where we could get to all the hot spots in Tokyo within 30 minutes. The mattress was a bit uncomfortable, but I think that is pretty standard in Japan. The house is spread over 3 floors so there is a bit of up and down involved. The house itself is in a suburban neighborhood with families so there is an expectation to keep volumes low, which was not a problem for us. Kitchen could use a few essentials like wine glasses and coffee/tea and salt/sugar/pepper.
- Fiona (9/5): Excellent quiet location to stay after exploring the business of Tokyo!! - Convenient to the train station and in a quiet area. One stop to shops and restaurants and a short walk to convenience stores. Very comfortable. The only thing we struggled with was the TV but got there eventually. Too busy anyway.
