• Helewa (10/5): A great option for the traveler who needs a cozy, practical place after long days exploring Tokyo. - We took an extended stay in Tokyo, and used Section L as our "home base". It's a bit of a trek from Ueno station, but far enough to escape the craziness of the crowds near the park. There is a Family Mart on the corner, andd some excellent restaurants and small bars nearby that are off the beaten path, but worth visiting. The room was comfortably cool, and the beds did the trick, though we rearranged the room a bit to accomodate our needs. The washing machine and mini-kitchen are priceless, and the TV allowed me to sign into streaming for evening movies. The staff is friendly and informative - just a great place overall that came to feel like home away from home for my son and I on spring break. Like I said, it's a bit of a trek from the JR station, and they should update their linens policy to alllow a change of sheets after 5 days - you can get fresh towels every 3 days, but the beds are what you get - not bad for a shorter stay, but we were on site for 9 days, and would have enjoyed a change in bedding at least once during that time without paying extra.

Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Location felt like it was a bit far to the nearest train station mostly because it was snowing and we were traveling with a baby.

Some rooms are more compact than others but have everything one needs for daily and longterm living. Room and building are very clean. Tokyo is huge and each area/neighborhood is different but I liked the location of this property, with easy train access and quiet at night.

The train station was about a 5-minute walk from the hotel, and there were grocery stores and a FamilyMart nearby. It’s a great family hotel. We stayed as two adults with two kids. One of our sons studies at Bunkyo Gakuin University and came to meet us during the day, which is why we chose this location. It was very convenient—close to his university and well connected to major areas like Akihabara, Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Ginza. As an American family, this place was perfect for us. Wish room has little more space, but again it is normal in Japan. No views from room, for us this was not a problem ,but i am sure it might be a deal breaker for someone. No free breakfast. For the price we paid, wish they had free breakfast. However we had kitchen so made out own before we left for the day.
• Jasmin (7/5): Kein klassisches Hotel - mehr Apartmentanlage in Wohngebiet - Da ich wusste, dass in Japan die Zimmer sehr sehr klein sind, wollte ich ein bisschen ein größeres Zimmer. Dies hatte ich erhalten und die Ausstattung war mit Küchenzeile einschließlich ausreichend großen Kühlschrank. Das war praktisch. Allerdings war die Temperaturregelung im Zimmer etwas schwierig. (ich war im November da, und da wird es abends etwas kühler) Die Unterkunft liegt zwar etwas abseits, aber in LaufNähe zu einigen U-Bahn-Stationen. Da Tokio eh so groß ist, dass man die öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln nehmen muss, war das ganz praktisch. Die Lage war sehr ruhig - eher in Richtung einer Wohngegend, so dass man ein klein bisschen zu belebteren Gegenden laufen musste. Es war aber alles trotzdem noch akzeptabel erreichbar. Vor allen Dingen ist der Ueno Park in der Nähe. Ich fand das einchecken etwas unpraktisch, da man alles trotz Personal vor Ort an einem iPad machen musste. Man sollte sich auch erkundigen, ob die Rezeption zum Zeitpunkt der Ankunft besetzt ist. Ich fand das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht angemessen. Das Zimmer war wirklich sehr teuer. Was mir gar nicht gefallen hat, dass es keine durchsichtigen Fenster hatte, sondern ein großes Fenster, aber das mit nicht durchsichtigen Glas. Dadurch fühlte man sich ein bisschen eingesperrt. Es gibt wohl zur Straßenseite Fenster mit durchsichtigen Glas aber die meisten Apartment - Zimmer sind nach hinten heraus. Ich finde das hätte man kenntlich machen müssen bei der Buchung.

• Axela05 (10/5): BEST Stay Ever - Section L Yushima-Ueno was nothing short of AMAZING. Please excuse me while I wax poetic, but we couldn't have gotten any luckier finding this diamond in the rough. All of the staff were super friendly and extremely helpful. Thi (I believe was her name) was such an absolute pleasure to talk to. She even gave us quite a few recommendations for various places to eat and things to do. If management reads this, she adds a TON of value to your establishment. The room was very large by Japan standards, the bed and pillows were quite comfortable, and the full kitchenette and wet shower area were wonderful. Oddly enough, one of the best parts of the room was the combination washer/dryer. We packed very lightly, so being able to throw a load in the wash each morning before we headed out for the day was SO valuable to us. My buddy and I are 6'1" (185cm) and 6'4" (193cm) and had no issues with the beds. The hotel itself is situated in a very quiet area (which was wonderful coming back to after full days of sightseeing), but still within very short walking distance (10-15 minutes tops) to numerous restaurants, Akihabara, and Ueno Park. We also loved having a FamilyMart right on the corner where the hotel is. Long story short, if you're looking for a place of peace and solitude the also packs a ton of value for the price, Section L Yushima-Ueno is the BEST choice. If/when I visit Tokyo again, I will 100% stay here again. Thanks again for the best stay ever! :) Nothing at all.

• Bojan (9/5): Great stay - Staff was helpful and hospitable, always greeted us with a smile. They speak perfect English, which was great for us because we do not speak Japanese. The location was in quiet and peaceful neighborhood, but close to all important sites. We would often walk and not use public transportation. A few lines of public transportation are just 5 minutes away, so that was great. The room is very clean and comfortable, with all the appliances you could need. All appliances are very high quality, not the cheap ones hotels usually use. The only minus is the lack of natural light in the room. The window is close to the adjacent building, so not a lot of light can pass through.

Nice and quiet location but close (5-10 min) to multiple metrolines (including yamanote line) and close (5-10 min) to the airport skyliner as well. • deidre (10/5): Comfortable and easily accessible - After arriving late into Tokyo it was great to have reception available for our arrival. Property was exactly as pictured, clean and room accessible by lift. So great to have a washing machine in the room. There is a metro station a very short walk away and other lines nearby too for easy access to all areas of the city. n/a

Personal muy amable, nos ayudaron y rellenaron los impresos de envío de maletas a Kioto. Hablan perfecto inglés y uno de ellos español. Muy atentos
