- Peter (8/5): Very good - There was a little confusion in obtaining the keys - the app said there would be a box at the property with the keys inside - a code was given on the app, but there was no box at the property. After speaking with a person at the next door restaurant I was informed that the keys were in Guardamar town centre. I checked again on the app and it was given that the keys were at an address in Guardamar so we went looking for that address - eventually, after an hour. we located the address (which was given as 52, Calle Mayor on the app but which didn't exist) we thought it would be a Fidalsa office, but in fact was just the black box on a wall on the main street!
- Cristian (8/5): Nice but apartment needs renovation - The apartment is nice, view is gorgeous, very close to the beach Apartment need to be renovated, bed was not comfortable, no phonics isolation between bedroom and next apartment. TV from next apartment it was like in our bedroom.
- MichaĆ (8/5): Very good - Great location - you cant get any closer to the beach. The apartament was clean and pretty well equipped. We had to collect keys from different location in the same city which might be a problem if you are not traveling by car.
There is no AC in the apartment.
- Christine (8/5): Apart from comments above excellent - Balcony railings loose and extremely dangerous. Air conditioning required, ceiling fans are not sufficient enough.
- Philip (9/5): Fantastic Accommodation With Enviable Views Across The Sea and Beach. - Fantastic location, the three double bedroom is on the fifth floor with outstanding views across the Mediterranean. The apartment is very spacious and is nicely furnished throughout and well equipped with cooking facilities, dishwasher, washing machine, iron and ironing board. Guardamar was a little bit quiet when we stayed but both of the bar restaurants adjacent to the apartment block were open and the food and service were good.
The apartment is just over a mile from the town centre and it takes about 20 minutes to walk there maximum.
There is plenty of free on-street parking available and with it being out of season there were many spaces available. Garage parking was available but we didn't use it because of the availability of street parking directly outside the front of the building. 1) The freezer in the fridge freezer wasn't working. It wasn't really a problem for us because we mostly ate out and only required a fridge for drinks and snacks.
2) The guard rail of the main balcony, which is off the lounge, was of concern. If an adult or older child of average weight were to fall against it, I doubt very much that it would hold their weight. Some effort has been made to strengthen it with a couple of extra struts but these are insufficiently secure (only being pop rivetted in place). I work in the construction industry and can say for certain that UK building regulations would not pass this guard rail in its present state. It needs to be ideally taken out and totally rebuilt using stronger materials and more anchorage points.
In fairness, the other guardrails on the side of the building which cover the three bedrooms are much stronger and are not an issue.
