Guest Reviews
- Crystelle (7/5): - Good location, overall clean and tidy. We arrived early and were able to check in early which was greatly appreciated. We had problems with the shower and unable to get it to work without being very hot or very cold, that was disappointing. There was also a bucket under the sink to catch a water leak, however it was full and contained mould and a very bad smell which we had to empty.
- Jessica (4/5): If you're 1. a single traveller or 2. want a shower whilst you stay - I would not recommend. - The actual apartment was fine, once you were in.
The couch is comfy, the TV was ok, the bed ok. Nice living space. Cups and spoons provided for a tea. There's a tesco on the corner just outside so you can pick up essentials.
The bed was ok, comfy enough for a couple of nights and the bedrooms and living space looked clean - just a bit shabby in places. The bathroom is near the front door and outside the heated apartment so it was quite cold to go into brush my teeth or use the shower. It felt disconnected, outdated and mould in lots of places.
The shower was TERRIBLE. It way, by far, the worst shower of my life, it went from scolding hot (and I like hot showers) which felt like it was burning, to absolutely unbearably icy freezing from a tiny nudge of the dial - and I mean TINY nudge of the dial. I was patient, I tried a lot. I really needed a shower as I was staying for 2 nights.
The glass wall from the outside stairwell into the apartment was unnerving as well as annoying, you could hear everyone stomping up the stairs to get into their apartment and could see them walk past the glass wall which leads directly into the apartment. When they put on the light in the stairwell it lights up the apartment of an evening which was slightly unnerving thinking they had entered the apartment.
It made it uncomfortable as a solo traveller.

- Diogo (3/5): Good location, apartment condition could be better. - Great location. Comfortable bed and adequate heating system. Good TV Poor cleanliness. Bad restroom condition, impossible to properly regulate water temperature and low water pressure.

- Sam (5/5): Great location, but less than satisfactory cleanliness. - The location was great. The apartment layout was good. It had everything we needed. It wasn’t very clean. It was very grubby. The pull cord in the bathroom was disgusting. The door handles and light switch’s were all grubby. And the shower had multiple hairs in it. The cleaner was still there upon check in. We had to wait awhile few minutes. So I think she may not have finished. There were also a number of broken things, such as the kitchen faucet.
- ainsworth (2/5): - Location thats it Everything was broken , very dirty

- SaraValli (4/5): - Posizione molto comoda e vicina ai mezzi. Supermercato praticamente sotto casa. Grandezza dell'appartamento. Appartamento con altissime potenzialità ma poco valorizzato. Pulizia veramente scarsa e poca cura nei dettagli...molte cose rotte...peccato.

- Sarah (3/5): Disappointing - Fantastic location and good transport links. On face value this property looked lovely.
There were however some issues, we got in fine.
There were issues with the water when showering, it was either scolding or cold.
There were chipped plates, no wine glasses, dented kettle, no plug in kitchen sink or washing up bowl the inner oven glass was missing, dirty containers and pans which is understandable I suppose without a plug and bowl.
The settee had cigarette burns on it, a couple of the windows didn’t have handles on so didn’t shut properly and you could hear everything from the street.
Also when we got home there was an issue with my bank where someone tried to access my account for a couple of betting sites.
Digging deeper I found booking.com pass on your bank details to hosts this includes CVC number on request from hosts. I understand I cannot prove it was the hosts however booking.com was the only thing I used this card on. If it was clearer that this is what the company do I would not have booked through them.
- D (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Marshall (7/5): Good -
- Joy (9/5): Brilliant. Would stay again. - Spacious, lots of facilities. Everything you need. Good communication about everything too I couldn’t find the heating thermostat to control the heating. There were little heaters we used were great. But then in the night the heating came on and we couldn’t switch off. We just opened the windows which was okay
- Engelhardt (8/5): Very good -
- John (10/5): Perfect for a short stay for working in the area - Fantastic , perfect for a couple of work colleagues working in the area . Really easy to sort out and the price point is spot on. Couldn’t sort the tv
- Ivan (7/5): Good -
- Robert (5/5): Passable - Excellent location. Uncomfortable mattresses. 6 inch thick springs on top of metal slats. Bathroom was in poor repair. Shower hot water was difficult to control. Overall the room was similar to a poorly maintained college dorm room. Adequate, but hardly typical of a rental apartment.
- Diana (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely apartment very spacious The bathroom was cold and needed updating
The shower wasn't good. The temperature or flow
It was a cold weekend, and we had no heating apart from a small fan
- Gökçe (4/5): No heating and clogged bathroom sink - The location. Supermarket nearby. Easy access to bus stops. Coffee machine and toaster. It was kind of unbelievable that the heating system did not work in November. The landlords sent us an electric heater but it is not enough for the living space and the two rooms. Additionally, the bathroom needs to be renovated. The sink is clogged. The shower is completely in mould. The room lacks atmosphere and some cosiness as well.
- Graeme (8/5): Decent accommodation for 4 adults - Comfortable, nice communal space Flooring needs attention danger of splinters walking in bare feet. This was not the location I originally chose where I was told property had been double booked. Whitechapel is not as cosmopolitan as Shoreditch which detracted from the experience
- Keat (7/5): Good -
- Mike (10/5): Great apartment in a great location. - Very spacious and spotlessly clean. Great location for our event at the Barbican. Owners very communicative and helpful. No complaints at all, a great place to stay
- Tom (6/5): Ok, but could be better. - The apartment and beds were generally very clean.
The location was good.
Owner was very responsive when we found a major problem with the kitchenette sink, and made sure it was addressed immediately.
Nice big TV, with Firestick. The mattresses and pillows were thin and uncomfortable.
There were numerous instances of shoddy construction/remodeling.
The smart door lock was glitchy and often required us to wait to get in.
Mold in shower.
Mysterious hole in the bathroom wall.
No place to put suitcases for ready access. Luggage racks would be nice.
- Martin (6/5): Pleasant -
- Batyah! (7/5): Good, safe and convenient! - Excellent location. Easy access to great dining, and transport networks, and most important felt safe. Some improvement in facilities. There were broken bits in the living area; There was no kettle, coffee or even salt. There were also no paper towels. For a self-catering apartment, would have expected these few basics before going out to get my own supplies.
The finish in the bathroom was not very good. The property value and aesthetics could be greatly improved for only a few minor changes - otherwise a really good property that is good value for money
- So (8/5): Great location and comfort close to Old St - The beds were fine for me, although one of our party said they were a little too soft. The street was nice and quiet. The location was very good - really close to many restaurants and bars. It wasn't clear where the rubbish had to be discarded, as recycling bins were mentioned, but we couldn't find them. There was a message about the door handle running low on battery, but I felt that this could have been monitored better, so that there wouldn't have been any need to replace them or top them up during our stay. These were the only issues really.
- Blaine (8/5): Very good - New part of London I hadn’t stayed in before.
- Stephen (8/5): One night good value great location nothing fancy clean bed - Good location value for money Nothing all good
