• Cher (10/5): Amazing time - The rooms are huge and the surroundings are quiet. Kate, the owner/staff was so helpful and kind.
• Ellen (9/5): - Great room and wonderful host! Very comfortable stay in a cosy neighbourhood across the river from the hustle and bustle of the main town. The location was inconvenient at times, especially if you wanted to duck out quickly for a bite to eat however there was a local ferry that took you across the river into the main town.
• Ruth (10/5): The perfect place to stay in Yangshuo! - This was our favourite place to stay in China. Its clean and tidy (it even has a washing machine you can use to get your travel clothes clean!). Our room was enormous with a balcony and a fabulous shower room. The hotel is just a minute walk from the ferry to get you over to the town. This meant that after a busier day in the town we could relax in peace and quiet back in our room! Kate is the best host ever. She sent us so much information, telling us where to get the best cup of coffee, where to cycle to get to see the best places, and where to eat and shop. We hired bikes from her and had a brilliant time cycling around the countryside. Kate turned our stay from a nice one in a lovely hotel to an exceptional experience. Just fantastic! Nothing. Its great!

Ti consiglia ma non vuole venderti nulla (cosa che in Cina ma sopratutto in certe zone), è invece un aiuto per tutto. Prenotazione tour, noleggio scooter, spettacolo di luci, ma qualsiasi cosa. La stanza poi è immersa nella tranquillità, silenzio, proprio sul fiume Li.

• Torahy (10/5): Maravillosa estancia - Sin duda lo que más nos gustó fue la atención. Antes de llegar ya nos habian escrito y ayudado para llegar. Nada más llegar nos atendieron con una amplia sonrisa, nos dieron un snack, nos dijeron opciones para comer, tomar café, alquilar motos. El dia que nos íbamos, como salíamos tarde nos guardaron las maletas, además nos invitó a un desayuno 100% chino, algo que si no es por ella no hubieramos probado nunca y estaba increíble. El sitio está un poco alejado del centro si vas caminando, algo que se agradece para nosotros, reservamos dos habitaciones, eran amplias y estaban muy limpias y bien decoradas. В країні де майже ніхто не розуміє англійську - вас зустріне людина, яка вільно спілкується англійською мовою. Вам подарують відчуття, ніби ви приїхали до близьких друзів, які дуже на вас очікували. Без перебільшень. При заїзді Кейт приготувала нам смаколики, потім кожного ранку зустрічала нас місцевими гостинцями. Абсолютно в любому питанні вам допоможуть, підкажуть і вирішать любу ситуацію. Люди, в Китаї є дві неймовірні людини: Джеккі Чан і Кейт))) Всім дуже раджу!!! При можливості хотілося б щоб полотенця міняли кожного дня, адже вони не встигають висихати.

No elevator. First from booking app it shows that hotel is in a city center, but actually it is on the other river side. You can take ferry it s cheap and fast but works until ~10pm. And to get taxi from other side(city center side) was an issue all the nights.

• Matthew (10/5): Amazing stay :) - We loved our stay here. Kate was so helpful in giving us advice for the town and activities, as well as helping us book tickets. Nothing was too much trouble for Kate and we felt very at home and well looked after. We were even given a complimentary room upgrade, which was a treat. Our room was lovely, beds were very comfy, and the shower was very good. It was very easy to get to West Street, either a quick taxi boat over the river and a short walk, or a half hour walk over the bridge. We were able to rent bikes from the accommodation at a small cost, and use of laundry services was free ! We had a great stay, and wouldn’t hesitate to book again or recommend to stay. She even got me a snack on the day I left. The location is slightly away from the downtown. I personally didn't mind the walk very much, and it's easy to get a ride, but I could see how someone might want to be a bit closer.

• Milica (10/5): - This guesthouse is such a beautiful place!! I loved my room that was perfectly clean and arranged with style and love! It's located on the quieter side of the river yet in a minutes you can cross with barge to the city centre. Bus station is also less than 10 minutes away on foot. Kate is super lovely and friendly, she shared all the useful information. I could do my laundry too. Thank you very much for everything, i hope that next time i could stay longer!

We had a wonderful time exploring Yangshuo with the help and guidance of the lovely host, Kate who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The room was amazing and had everything we needed (soft bed, large bathroom, balcony etc). I couldn’t recommend this accomodation enough :)

Kate sent me all the important information, which was very helpful. She is a very friendly and helpful host - on the first evening she even offered me some chocolate and was always available for questions. The room is cozy and has everything you need. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, which is very convenient. I can definitely recommend this accommodation!

The host was friendly and helpful, providing useful tips about the area. The second night I slept in a different room, and unfortunately, the bed was extremely hard, it felt like sleeping on a table. I really don’t understand how the hotel allows guests to sleep on that mattress. I also noticed that other reviews mention the same issue, yet it still hasn’t been addressed. Also it wasn’t really clean, under the sink there were tissues and plastic

Die Lage direkt am Fluss ist toll, man kann in 3 Minuten mit der niedlichen Fähre (direkt vor der Tür) in die West-Street fahren. Die Flussseite vom Hotel ist viel ruhiger und netter - drumherum ein Dorf mit Restaurants und Gärten. Besitzerin Kate hieß uns aufs Herzlichste willkommen und half uns bei allen Fragen. Danke, Kate, für die tollen Gespräche - wir wären gerne länger geblieben. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! -

• Olga (10/5): Best place in our trip - I have to start from words “I don’t have enough words” to explain how amazing was our stay in this lovely place. So, I will try. Manager and owner Kate very nice and kind person. She helped us to make reservations for many attractions. Also she always been in touch with us, provided information about interesting spots, food places, tickets etc. Big bonus - Kate can speak English very well. Kate’s mom had cooked breakfast and lunch for us and it was really amazing, I literally felt in love with simple homemade Chinese food thanks to her 😍 Location is very good. Very quiet at night. And the same time just few steps away from ferry, then a couple of minutes by boat and you are in the middle of hustle and bustle West Street. Guest house itself is very nice, reception is interesting decorated. Washing machine and free detergent are available on the roof top. Free water bottles at the reception. Rooms and bathrooms are big. We had balcony room and the river view was great. So, I definitely can recommend to book this place. You will never regret for sure. Thank you again Kate! • Fadzrul (9/5): Amazing - Amazing property located right across the river to the West Street which you can get to just by taking a ferry for 4RMB. The owner, Kate, is amazing and super friendly! Very helpful, accommodating to requests and gave so local many recommendations on what to do and where to go during my stay. Also had wonderful conversations with her. Had a wonderful stay and would recommend this place to anyone! The mattress was quite hard that I had back pain initially when lying down or sleeping. However, it went away after a while.

• Jose (10/5): Come if want great staff and to feel safe and warm and comfortable - The location is amazing , next to river and close to city and all , staff speak English and are caring !! And helpful , Jerry and Kate made us each day watermelon and provided us with water or umbrellas etc to what we might need . Place has a charm and you get to experience peace and calm between everything else lightly away from noise of main streets and get to see the culture and people and environment . Would really recommend it .

Our room was large with a nice balcony and a relaxing garden area for relazing in. We would stay here again if in the area.
• Jones (8/5): An inn next to the river. - The inn is situated in a quieter area very close to the river. It was a good place to take a relaxing walk and see locals go about their everyday business. The view from the balcony across the river and to the mountains was spectacular. The room was spacious, clean and decorated in an artsy way. Jerry, who is the caretaker of the property is very helpful. He carried my luggage, helped me with my bookings and made sure I wasn't late. Jerry made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. It was all good.

• Rhys (8/5): Fab host would recommend for budget minded travellers - Kate the host was amazing. Super friendly and very welcoming, we could of stayed chatting all day. We were offered the option of scooters to get in to town or you can take the ferry which takes a couple of minutes. The room was comfortable with air conditioning. Our balcony provided a great view across the river looking back at Yangshou. The location is not in the main town and sits on the other side of the river. If you have arrived by a cruise boat from Guilin, then there are two option to get to the accommodation. 1. take a taxi, check with Kate what you should pay at the time. 2. Walk south from the cruise boats departure point, through the main town, around the mound and down towards a small non descriptive ferry terminal. I have marked out on the attached picture the route to follow. Allow 10-20mins from cruise departure point. Its easy to do. The toilet in our room was a squat toilet, we both struggled a bit due to our problematic knees. Not sure if this was the case in all rooms but something to be aware of.

He has very good english too, very much appreaciated ! :) The fact that you have to take a boat to get to downtown but the pier is just next to the hotel and the boat goes runs very often.

• Irene (10/5): a fantastic value for the price - I had an amazing stay at Jingyuan in Yangshuo! The location is unbeatable, right by the Li River with easy access to the bustling West Street via boat. The host Kate was incredibly welcoming and provided great travel tips. The accommodation was cozy and clean, with comfortable bedding ensuring a restful sleep. Overall, a fantastic value for the price. Highly recommend!

• Esther (8/5): Enjoyed our staty here as it is pretty scenic and nice little hotel to stay in - Hotel is away from main area yet it is convenient as you can just take a water taxi across for only 3 yuan or just 3 mins ride and that will bring you to town. Once we crossed over to the main street, we can just walk to the west end shopping area . There are also some restaurants near this hotel. After staying for 3 nights, we got used to the area and uite enjoy this little cute nice hotel. It is quite nicely decorated as well. There is no lift, however we got used to it as we were on the 2nd floor and there was sombody to take our luggage, so that is quite ok. There are some sitting and squattig toilets, so guess you have to state your preference when you book/check in.
• Leek (9/5): Good vacation in a quiet and peaceful environment, away from the city. Reminds me of my hometown. - Host, Kate and Jerry are nice, hospitable, friendly and helpful. Kate was so sweet to share her hometown snacks with us. Kate’s mother is also warm and nice. The shower area is not partitioned, so need to be extra careful when showering. Otherwise, it will spill over to the outside.

Location for me was great.. still close to the centre, but during night, it's quiet. For 8 to 10rmd you can find a taxi to the centre or back. David and Kate are wonderful people and are super friendly. They helped me out a lot and answered all the questions I had. I also rented a bike for 30 rmd.
• Ana (9/5): Extra nice hosts - Extra nice hosts, super helpful and nice. They helped us plan our days in Yangshuo, we could rent the motorbike with them and they even invited us to share dinner with them one night. Kate speaks very good English and she and her husband are really approachable and friendly. We were unlucky with the weather and the room was cold (there is no heating, only a heat pump). They provided us some extra blankets though. The room was beautifully decorated, I just think it's better suited for warm weather. Also, the toilet is a latrine, not WC. It's not an issue, but good to know in advance.
• Ben (8/5): Nice and clean, a solid option! - Kate was really nice and responsive over message and giving tips around the area. The room was clean and well looked after. The room was really cold (we were there in January) and the heater didn’t seem to heat it very well, likely because of the tiled floor which stayed freezing. We arrived late afternoon and were leaving the following morning so were going to hire a scooter to use for a few hours, but were told we had to pay the full day rate and for two separate days which seemed a bit unreasonable given it would have been much less than 24 hours, so we didn’t bother. Location is reasonably good but you either have to pay for transport (boat or taxi) or walk 25 mins to get into town. A side note that we booked the river view room which had a squatter toilet - this wasn’t an issue but just noting it as it’s not shown in the pictures of the room and other rooms show pictures of sitting toilets.

Kate received us when we arrived and was really helpful with everything we needed around Yangshuo. Her and her husband were both super cooperative and nice. We will 100% recommend to everyone who comes to enjoy the wonders of Yangshuo to stay at Jing Yuann Inn!
• Jacklyn (9/5): Great hosts!! - Clean, nicely decorated with style, homely feel, great owners, very hospitable, tried their best to make me feel at home. Kate gave advices to where to go depending on what I like or want to do…even helped me to order food delivery because I do not have China’s mobile number. The bed was abit too hard for me but guess that’s good for health….so I do not have any backache after the 4 nights’ stay after all.

• A (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful experience! Beautiful boutique hotel. The room is large, has high ceilings, and floor to ceiling windows. It is well decorated, even the towels and pillows are monogrammed, and looks like it could be in a magazine photoshoot. Bed is really comfortable too. Kate, the host, is friendly, funny, and helpful. Her English is perfect too. She gave me a lot of local tips on what to do in the area and about the local water taxi (only 3 RMB). Following her tips I managed to see a whole family of water buffalo! And get some stunning photos! I feel so happy and well rested after my time here. Happy to recommend :)
• Pei (10/5): I will definitely come here again if I come to Yangshuo. - The property is super convenient, right next to the water bus, 10 minutes away from the main street, good location, good wifi, and good price! The staffs are super helpful too, help me on finding good traveling places, good restaurants and transportation.

The rooms were very clean and had everything you needed and the best thing was Kate and the people who work there, very generous and kind. She made our stay much easier with her recommendations and attention. Without a doubt an excellent option, we had a great time. We liked everything, very good option.
