• william keith (8/5): - Place was clean with the exception of dirt and an empty lube tube under the couch bed. Pretty discusting. The vacuum was so packed solid with dirt it needed to be cleaned before it would work.
• Bruce (7/5): Great location in downtown Sidney, very quiet. - Good location No extra blankets, no throw in the living room, no garbage can in the bathroom. Photos in the listing were misleading as they depicted the view from the opposite side of the building. This unit faces a parking lot.

• Luis (3/5): Dirty. Proorly maintained. Poorly supplied. No Ac. Uncomfortably soft bed. - Centrally located. Clear instructions for entry. Clear instructions for parking. Poor cleanliness. Lack of supplies and amenities in the apartment. Empty soap container. Only two rolls of toilet paper in suite. Only two towels put out. Later found two more crumpled in the dryer. Old food left in the oven by previous tenants. Windows only open a crack, providing poor air flow during hot weather. No AC. Janitorial lady felt compeled to berate a family member about having a phone conversation in hall ..in the middle of the day.
• Siddhi (7/5): I came for my sisters funeral. The location provided a sense of quiet reflection. The property is well located. I would - The location of this property is excellent . This actually made up for the lack of sleep . As this trip was emotionally charged, having the sea so close by was an absolute bonus. Whilst I was not able to speak to anyone, I would like to acknowledge that when I left the building to check out and was unable to return the key as per instructions, I was lucky enough to bump into the cleaner who took the keys off me . The text messaging service was excellent. However, only thanks to to the fact I used my nephews local phone to communicate. It might have been trickier if I did not have access to local phone. The access to lock and key is absolutely terrible! I arrived from a 12 flight and just wanted a bed to sleep in… it took 35mins to open the stuff lock , despite using the correct combination. Thankfully the Uber driver did not leave me stranded at night nor did he charge me for the extra time it took him to help me get into the apartment. Similarly I faced the same issue when checking out. But thankfully this was sorted out purely by luck. The bed did not look well made , sheets were not ironed or pressed so it felt like I was not sleeping in clean sheets . I was too tired to do anything about it - but it meant I could not sleep well. I cannot comment on facilities there is nothing I used. I would have really appreciated a welcome pack with a satchetvof coffee/ milk / sugar after such a long tiring overseas flight, not needing to leave the room for a first drink would have been amazing , especially as I was preparing to leave for a funeral at 7.30am. It’s the small gestures of thoughtfulness that would elevate this accommodation.
• Linda (6/5): Disappointing. - Location was excellent. The experience was like renting an escape room. After reading all the (capitalized) rules and directions it should not have been a surprise that unknown owner would “find a new unsolvable stain” on the …”Lovely Brand New Suite” but did not discover the possibly “used” sheets and bedcovers and the dryer full of towels. A nice change could be a larger TV, a chair at the desk, a welcoming picture or photo at the entrance, better bedding, newer towels. Kitchen looked ok but we didn’t use it.
• Rene (4/5): Disappointed in apt as it was very hot with no A/C. Details were missed, towels smelled of mildew. - The location was great. No air conditioning. The apartment was very hot. The only fan in the apartment was not adequate and only one window opened. I was there for a two week stay and not enough paper products were left. The towels smelled of mildew as if they were left in the washing machine too long. The closet was messy and nothing folded. The cleaners were still there until 5:00pm even though check in was 4:00pm

• Paul (7/5): Not up to previous standards. - We have stayed here many times and in the past it has been great but. This time it was different the cleaner who told us we can’t get in until 6 o’clock was nothing short of rude and sarcastic?????. We respect the property’s we stay at and remove our shoes on entry we ended up with dirty feet. Then we had to go and buy dishwashing liquid. Our previous days were much better.

Hard couch, again no springs. You have a excellent place, but went cheap with furniture. Change it and we would come for sure. Rudy

STAY AWAY! - That we where close to everything Host was awful, the unit was over 30+ degrees the host didn’t care, had one fan that only went to seed 5, the place was very dirty, The bed was awful, other then the location the stay was awful.

No air conditioning and couldn’t open any windows all of the way. Only two windows could be opened slightly. Sour towels in the dryer on arrival. Crumbs under sofa cushions. Weak bathroom fan and no window here.
• Cathy (7/5): Opening and closing building needs urgent attention? - Clean, comfortable location central - excellent Entrance & exit of property was a nightmare for us. Photos did not explain the procedure properly at all! Had no idea where to get for lock box and where to go once we got the fob which was extremely difficult. No mention of which lock box went with which suit unit. Absolutely no mention to go back to the front door to gain entry to the building after obtaining fob! Huge trouble opening lock box. All in all a nightmare getting in and out! Had to leave key inside suite as lock box didn’t open. Suggest this procedure needs immediate attention. Suite was excellent!
• Mary (10/5): Exceptional - The unit was great and in a great location. Having laundry facilities was great. The unit was located close to the Sidney harbour and shopping. Could walk to either from the unit. There could have been a few more dishes and plates and knives.
• Daniel (1/5): Uncomfortably warm place to stay during Summer. - Safe location. Secure entry. Convenient access to Sidney Marina. Liked having a washing machine inside unit. Very difficult to gain access to property. Lock Box located in back alley was one of a dozen identical lock boxes. Very difficult to determine which lock box was the correct lock box. No air conditioning. Only limited ventilation through very small window opening. Inadequate fan provided for cooling. Fan only moves warm internal air around inside of unit. Internal air temperature during moderately warm Summer months requires air conditioning. Lobby and hallways are air conditioned, why not living spaces? Exhaust fan in bathroom inoperative. Need more laundry soap. Only three laundry soap pods provided. No onsite staff available. Very uncomfortable bed. Futon type construction. Bed occupied almost entire bedroom. Furniture was cheap IKEA style furniture.
• Simon (8/5): Excellent place let down by poor ventilation - Excellent location, very clean and well maintained. No air conditioning and no window in the bedroom making it VERY difficult to sleep at night. Only one small window at the far end of the studio opened, and then only a little. There are many identical key boxes at the indicated location. You need to study the photos very carefully to find the right one! A ribbon or spot of paint would help.

• Stewart (4/5): lst experience at staying in a modern suite. Very disappointed. - Location great. Parking was great. Wifi great. Instructions detailed, sometime not accurate though. Bed was comfortable enough. Too hot when we arrived inside unit and could not sleep because of no air flow or a/c to cool it down. Took off our shoes as instructed and socks where almost black by the time we unpacked. Floors were not clean. Fridge was not wiped out, Bread in the cupboard. No coffee maker or coffee (even cheapest motels we stayed at hat that!) No toaster. Could not find where to take garbage outside as instructed. If you want to watch TV be sure to take your passwords for Netflix and Prime otherwise you are out of luck. Bedroom small, had to climb over bed to get to other side. Paid a good price extra for cleaning fees (states it takes 5 hours for cleaners to do their thing) Did not feel that was worth the money and it would not have taken more than 1 hours tops to clean that suite. Owners just made more money from us on that one. And we are ot from Australia as shows by name. We are Canadian.

• Naomi (1/5): Overpriced Hot Garbage Hell - It really helped me in leaving the island. I was feeling sad to leave but staying here, I couldn’t wait to leave! 1st. You couldn’t find the building. Its entrance is so well hidden that I went around the block twice looking for it. Even locals couldn’t tell me where it is. If you look at google map, even it doesn’t show you the building number located on map. After an hour of walking around, I finally managed to find the well hidden elusive lockbox & then entrance. The pictures provided doesn’t provide the perspective of the location. 2nd. Finally found the entrance and I enter the elevator, which welcomed me with stinking garbage. You’d think someone was just about to pick it up but no. That stinking garbage stayed there the entire stay I was there! 3rd. You enter the small apartment. It’s clean but rather underwhelming. Didn’t feel like home or even a motel. 4th. I am tired, exhausted from the long day I had and then add another frustrating hour to find this place, I was really hoping that this place would be at least comfortable. But no, it was HOT as hell! There is no fan available, there is no air conditioning and the windows don’t open all the way! There are only 2 windows in the entire apartment btw. The pillows & mattress smelled like sweat from other guest! Eeeew! Why wouldn’t it? The entire place was bubbling hot like a sauna. I wanted to cry and I’d rather stay in my rental car instead and still be happier. Which costed the same for entire week! 5th. The cost to rent this for 1 night is $300 after all the fees + taxes! $300!!! Yup, you too can experience to stay in this dump for $300! It was advertised at $162 per night. Also this is a non-refundable booking. So beware!!! This is the only way this rental will ever earn anything by trapping poor travellers who know not better. The only good thing about this experience was that I didn’t want to leave the Vancouver Island. I was very sad to leave… but staying here, I couldn’t wait to leave! I slept just 2 hours as I woke up in sweats! I left this dump at the crack of dawn as soon as I could.

• Suzanne (2/5): Very poor - Location The astronomical cleaning fee. $125 per person per night for 'what' Not only was it not cleaned, while we were there, there were only two towels , no bath mat. No small goods eg coffee etc ....I just felt we were ripped off. There was the threat the day we left of leaving it clean...hey we have just paid $250 per night for WHAT. I left that place like I usually do..neat and tidy
• Paul (7/5): Overall, our guests had a great stay in the place. - The location was excellent. The place was well appointed with everything our guests needed. The hosts were responsive to communication. There was laundry in the washer and dryer when our guests arrived. We had a problem with the blinds that was never resolved and our guests couldn't open them for the 6 days they were there. The hosts were helpful in communicating their efforts and difficulties in getting a repair person which was nice to know but that was something they should have in place so that our guest didn't suffer the consequences.
• Katherine (7/5): It was clean, serviceable, the least expensive I could find but really underwhelming for the price. - It is in the perfect location, just a short walk from Beacon with everything you could possibly need. I had to keep the blinds down the entire time because the only view is right into the neighbour's windows. It was quite bleak and depressing.

• Vandervalk (8/5): Great communication, great location! - The location was great. It was easy to walk down to the water, and the shops, and everything was close by. It would have been nice to have some coffee in the unit, and a throw blanket for on the couch.

Perhaps some PR skills would be in order though! - The location is very central in the Sidney township and a great location for a base to explore the top end of the peninsula. The communication email I was sent in regards to the rules and all the do's and don'ts associated with the booking I found to be "over the top". You can't just threaten to fine your guests for breaching your set of rules and expect them to also feel special and welcomed about renting your property. I found it quite rude and insulting.

It was a few minute walk from the pier and delicious b - Location Laundry Big windows Separate bedroom Size Couldn’t find a toaster so we bought one from a local second store. Also couldn’t find extra garbage bags so also bought some. Location of garbage is a bit far (but fine for us).
• Vivian (7/5): Great location, good living space, very clean, but a few discrepancies detracted from the overall experience. - Location was perfect for accessing everything in downtown Sidney, and for walks on the waterfront. Also great access to the airport. Everything was very clean in the apartment. Lots of storage space, although not really needed for short stays. The bedroom was very tiny, with the bed pushed against the wall, and only a small table on one side. Bed was not very comfortable. We also only realized after a couple of days that the mattress only had a mattress cover, no sheet, and then we discovered the sheet in the dryer. The bathroom had lots of products, but only two very thin towels and two washcloths: no hand towels. Although there were lots of pots and pans, there were only two mugs, and four luncheon size plates, no dinner or side plates. The only mirror was over the sink in the bathroom, so no way to check your appearance before going out.
• Carolina (7/5): Good - The location was excellent, within walking distance to downtown Sidney. The place was really lovely, fresh, felt new, and fairly quiet, too. I would suggest setting up the kitchen better, with more cooking tools and more dishes too. Especially for guests that are planning longer stays, like we did. The host was very responsive when I communicated a couple of concerns/requests I had. Overall, the place is very nice and comfortable.

• Brian (1/5): Great location, Broken bed, unable to sleep in it, nobody responded when we reached out with a conce - Location The only bed in this unit was broken and when we reached out on multiple occasions we received no response from booking.com or the owners. We were unable to sleep in the bed so if you are not interested in sleeping in the unit it’s fine.
