• George (8/5): This is a good home away from home...I will definately book again on my next visit to JHB. - The location of the apartment was excellent. It's a few minutes walk from Mandela Square/ Santon City Mall...It's a home away from home.The apartment though is a little old but they have done a good job of keeping it well maintained and clean. They fact that they don't provide toiletries or detergents and also that fact that you are restricted on the electricity you can use makes you a little apprehensive should power tokens run out. But its a great booking for a long term stay. Also the fact that they don't clean the apartment means you have to make own arrangements for cleaning the apartment.

• Catherine (2/5): Crawling with cockroaches - Good location Absolutely infested with cockroaches. During the night I was able to kill 6 but saw many more before they scurried under cupboards and the bed. The place is absolutely crawling with insects; cockroaches, baby cockroaches as well as other bugs I couldn’t identify. I spoke with a resident of the building who says that cockroaches are a constant issue within the entire complex so I am really not blaming the owners of this apartment. The whole building is fumigated every few months but the resident I spoke with said that it is ineffective so he pays for a private company to provide the service for him. When I raised the issue they offered for someone to come to spray strong chemicals in the apartment which I appreciated but I simply could not say there for the second night that I had already paid for so I left and found somewhere else. They will reply to this review mentioning the fumigation services as they have done with the 10 of the reviews that mention cockroaches in the last couple of months but it’s clear the fumigation is not working. Yes the location is good but you may as well spend $5/10 more a night to stay a little further out so you don’t have to share your room with cockroaches

This is was not at all what I expected. It is a main apartment divided in two. The main door makes a lot of noise that wakes everyone in the building, the apartment is old. Sofa and bed not comfortable at all.

Muitas baratas no lugar e geladeira que não funciona! - Apenas a localização é uma qualidade deste imóvel, todo o resto na minha locação foi terrível por falta de manutenção básica do local. Aa chegarmos no quarto, numa quinta-feira à noite, encontramos 3 baratas passeando pelo chão! Até tentarmos ir dormir (pois tinhámos que acordar às 05AM), foram mais 7 baratas que matamos no chinelo. Impossível dormir com receio de baratas passearem nos nossos rostos, extremamente nojento! Aparentemente é uma situação conhecida pois existia um inseticida na cozinha, aplicamos o máximo possível ao sairmos no dia seguinte e voltamos somente de noite, para banho e saímos para jantar. Encontramos mais baratas mortas quando chegamos, reaplicamos o inseticida e não haviam novas baratas no retorno do jantar. Durante a noite de sexta para sábado coloquei comida na geladeira e fomos dormir menos receosos, mas fomos acordados de madrugada com uma barata andando pela cama!! Que ódio!!! Na manhã de sábado, a comida estava com cheiro ruim na geladeira, pois a geladeira não funcionava! Apesar de acender a luz ao abrir a porta e com o seletor de temperatura no máximo, estava quente dentro, só reparei naquele momento que o compartimento do freezer estava sem um mínimo de gelo. Perdi dinheiro em comida e tempo de sono nesse lugar, não recomendo a ninguém! Ao reportar ao Booking fizeram uma devolução medíocre de 5% dos valores pagos!

I feel like if they could supply towns, tea and coffee they could have at least provided toilet paper or let me know there was no toilet paper.

Apenas a demora no atendimento no portão de entrada, por conta da confirmação da reserva levou muito tempo sendo que estávamos casado d e viagem.
