Guest Reviews
- Anthony (9/5): Easy access to buses and metro, authentic restaurants and grocery shops - Compact and well equipped - Nescafé Pod coffee machine too
- Frank (10/5): Tolles Ambiente - Sehr schönes Appartement ! Super Lage . TV vorhanden aber nicht benutzbar , da kein Fire Stick vorhanden
- Alice (10/5): Lovely apartment in a great location! - The apartment is so nicely done, and in a very quiet area. Perfect for easy walk to the bars and restaurants in Trastevere, and a longer but lovely walk down the river into the sights of Rome. The host was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout our stay.
- Paulina Kuchorew (10/5): - The place was the perfect stay for summer holiday in Rome. The neighbourhood was quiet and felt like it was outside the usual tourist trap, it was easy to get to and from using local busses and the metro at piramid station. The local restaurants in both Testaccio and Trastevere were much better than the central places. The room was great, comfy bed, comfy couch, nice bathroom with a lovely shower, and we had the essentials in the kitchen. The air conditioning was a real life saver!
- Luka (10/5): Great host, apartment and location! - We had a wonderful stay at this apartment, and I highly recommend it! The host was helpful, and easy to communicate with. The apartment itself is as pictured—well-maintained and authentically represented in the photos. It features a spacious king-size bed in a separate room, and everything from the appliances to the furniture is brand new. It is located on the interior side of the building, with a peaceful environment.
It’s situated in Testaccio, a residential neighborhood but still within walking distance to key tourist sites (e.g. 10min to Aventino Hill, 25 min walk to Colosseum, 35min to Via Del Corso, 55min to Piazza Del Popolo etc). Area has a local, authentic feel compared to the heavily touristic parts of the city. Also, restaurants/pasticcerias offer great value for money. Best pizza/pasta/sweets we had in Rome are all from Testaccio. For example, pizza we had at the Testaccio Market (Casa Marko was the name) was far better and more than double less expensive than the one all the world is talking about (hint: starts with "B" and have been to all the cooking shows and even Netflix made an episode about it - highly overrated). Beside that one, restaurant Al Cocci was phenomenal. Also, we could really see residents in their daily routine which was quite relaxing and authentic. There is also a metro station (Piramide) on a 10min walk from apartment. It is well connected, and metro trains go quite often. Since my wife and I are in mid-30s and like to walk, we took it only on several occasions.
Before booking, we considered staying in Trastevere, known for its bohemian vibe and popularity with tourists. Having visited, I can confidently say Testaccio was the better choice. Trastevere, while charming, felt more like a tourist trap.
Lastly, we had a free taxi ride from Airport to the apartment (offered by Booking). Apartment is a bit darker due to being located in interior of the building. Free taxi ride could only be used from Airport to the apartment and not vice versa (Booking policy, nothing to do with the host). Building interior garden need some renovation and cleaning.
- Jennifer (10/5): Very beautiful - Its close to city center but not too close, we used lime scooters to get where we wanted to go, takes 8min about. If you walk it takes about 20-25
